So happy to have found good Korean in Spokane. Miso was excellent. Shrimp tempura so amazing one of the best I’ve had. Service was friendly and helpful. Prices and portions are appropriate.

Great food and service. I love the spicy pork and the bulgogi. For a limited time when we started eating there they had the spicy pork in hot bowl over rice with egg on top. OMG!!! It was stupendous. Bring it back!!! I could eat there every day.

Probably one of my favorite restaurants. The lady that works there is polite, and the resturants atmosphere is good. Adding to that the food is delicous.

Excellent service and great food. We had the bibimbap and bulgogi which were both excellent! Will be back soon!

Hidden gem! Everything I’ve had so far has been excellent. You wouldn’t expect some of the best Korean food in town from the appearance of it, but don’t be fooled. Kimchee is very well done. The fish dishes are made from fresh fish. Not a huge menu but definitely enough variety. This review is coming from someone who hates fast food and doesn’t like bar food unless it’s exceptional. Kind of a picky snob actually.

Tried this place for a late lunch today. We came because of Unilocal reviews. Potstickers are deep fried. Small but tastey. 3 on a scale of 10. The worst was the vegetable tempura. 8 pieces«literally» of standard vegetables(onion, broccoli, sweet potato, zucchini, carrot) sad for 7.50 on a pile of fried Udon.(edible, but just a garnish, too much!) Yakisoba stir-fry was one note, bland. Bulgogi was alright. Just very oily and way too hot! Not spicy hot, temperature hot. We spent 47 dollars and I still wasn’t full. Just the 2 of us. I ate all my rice. The side dishes of fish cake, omelette, Kim-Chee, pickled radish were all good. Just wanted more. Service was friendly just not very efficient. She tried to remember the orders and never asked about drinks. I will not return. I was surprised by the reviews.

As someone who is a little too obsessed with Korean food, this place was divine. Although I have not had the pleasure of having Korean food in Korea, my husband has– and this is his favorite place as well. The spicy pork is a favorite of ours, accompanied by the seafood or kimchi pancake. The side dishes are delicious, but a little sparse. The dol sot bibimbop is incredible on a cold day, as is the spicy seafood soup.

Fast becoming one of my favs! As a San Francisco transplant, having eaten often in Japantown and Chinatown, Chopstix is an excellent Choice. Its good but not like LA’s KoreanTown. The tempura is one of the best i have had. They don’t have the wide selection of Kim Chee you’d expect, however it is tasty. Atmosphere is, well, florescent overhead lights… go for the food not the experience. consistent, inexpensnsive; a selection of chinese, japanese, and korean dishes, which are all very goid quality. service always good.

Very good Asian food. I don’t have anything to compare it to, as I’ve not had Korean food before. That being said the food was presented beautifully and was very tasty!

Best Korean food in town, hands down. As good or better than anything we’ve had in Seattle. Awesome spicy pork and beef Bulgogi. Nice clean place and nice people.

It could be better. More selection of Korean food. I miss some of the options available at other Korean restaurants. And the side dishes presented up-front were scant. I understand the size of the restaurant, location, and amount of traffic may limit what is available. The main dish was good, fresh. If you are in Spokane and must have a bite of korean, come here!

If your craving some quick Korean or teriyaki food than this is the place. It is a small hole in the wall restaurant run by the the family owners. The aesthetics of the place is not great but the food is fairly cheap and it Is always tasty. I give it a 3 star rating due to the poor environment but it has 4 star food for the price! Try the spicy chicken yakisoba or beef bulgolgi!

What a gem of a find! I am a Seattle transplant and I adore Korean food. Especially BBQ. I stopped in with hopes low and was pleasantly surprised. I ordered bibimbob(my first time) and it was delicious. I ordered the mild and if you like spice at all I would recommend getting the spicy. Mild was no spice at all. My kiddo’s got teriyaki chicken, beef and pork fried rice and some eggrolls. All in all it was filling and delicious. I will be back. Only complaint, prices are a bit more than I anticipated for quality and amount of food provided. But I’ll stull go back. Very friendly and kind folks.

This is a nice Korean place with good food. I will say it seems kinda dingy considering they haven’t been around that long. Food is really good. I am really digging their spicy teriyaki chicken. Great teriyaki flavor, but also has a nice lingering burn that really rounds out the enjoyment of this. Miso soup is good, but I add a little salt to bring out the taste a bit. Egg rolls are nice and crisp but not overly greasy like some places. Guessing they let the egg rolls drain better before serving, which is nice. Service is friendly buy not too intrusive. Waitress recommended stuff as soon as I sat down, letting me know what was the most popular. If you happen to prefer vegetarian fare, they have a great selection of that. Not my thing, but I know a lot of Spokanites look for that, so their you go. Overall this is great Korean food at a really reasonable price. Their lunch special is only $ 7.99 and you get a really good amount of food. This place may become a new regular stop for me, and it should be for you too.

After conquering the drive up and down Snoqualmie Pass on the way back to MN I stop at Costco to top off the tank before driving over another mountain range. On the way to Costco I take note of Chopstix and decide to grab lunch there. I went for the spicy pork(extra spicy, of course). A bowl of miso soup was quickly brought over. Not too salty with plenty of green onion and small cubes of tofu. A very nice starter. Shortly after a plate with a trio of banchan is brought over — lightly pickled daikon, dressed bean curd and slices of egg with green onion, unfortunately no kimchi. The banchan all were nice counter flavors to the main dish. The spicy pork came with onions, green onions, carrots and mushrooms. It had a nice spice level but was not too spicy to eat. The rice was dressed with flakes of dried kelp and sesame seeds. Service was quick and friendly. Will remember this place for the next trip through Spokane. At $ 9.50 it was a very good deal.

Soooo good! My boyfriend and I were driving around debating where we should go for lunch and we saw this place and decided to just drop in and check it out. And we are so happy we did!!! Our service was quick and friendly. My boyfriend ordered the bulgogi and I got bibimbop — an all-time favorite of mine at Korean restaurants. First came the miso soup, which was pretty standard but good. Then came the side dishes. If you like Kim chee definitely order a side of it!!! They make their own, and is super delicious and fresh. The bulgogi came sizzling hot in a cast iron dish and I was immediately jealous that I didn’t order it! It was so flavorful and delicious, even though I love bibimbop and it was awesome the bulgogi was incredible! Definitely happy we stopped by. Do yourself a favor and come in ASAP! We will probably be here!

Finally a place with decent Korean-Chinese food in Spokane! This place used to be called Southeast Oriental Express & Café, but now it’s called Chopstix Oriental. Before, I think they used to have only Chinese food on the menu, but after the new owners, they started serving Korean-Chinese dishes such as spicy seafood noodles(jjam-bbong $ 10.99), and sweet & sour pork(tang-soo-yook $ 10.99). I tried both of these dishes and I was actually really surprised by the authenticity of those dishes. Spicy seafood noodles included shrimp, mussels, squid and variety of other seafood. And sweet & sour pork tasted just like the taste that I’m used to when I go to Korean-Chinese restaurants over in Seattle. I will definitely return to this place to try their other Korean dishes.
