Time and time again my girlfriends and I flock to this restaurant for happy hour. Our usual server Brittany is there with a welcome smile. The service is amazing and the food just as good. It’s a fantastic place for happy hour as well as for an intimate dinner. This is a Spokane must go.

My husband and I tried this sweet gem on Valentine’s Day.(Recommend reservations). The food and drink were absolute immaculate. Lobster was not over cooked and chewy. It was sweet and melted in you mouth. Services was wonderful and personalable so muck that I took my my parents back weeks later

Excellent experience. Food had great taste and the view(after Debbie, the manager, got us a window seat) was well worth the visit. As other reviews have said, this is a pricey restaurant, but well worth it.

Delightful especially St Christmas time. The food was good and plentiful. The wait staff was ok, they were disorganized and very slow to respond. The views were beautiful onto the Spokane River.

Great food and the Huckleberry lemonade is wonderful. I’ve come a few times and have had a solid experience every time no matter what I order. Definitely enjoy going there.

This wasn’t my first time at Clinkerdagger’s spot in Spokane, but actually my 5th. This visit had some high notes and a few low ones. My uncle and I were seated earlier which was nice because we had gotten there early. It took longer than usual to get our bread served to us; we even had to ask a waiter where is after we were more than halfway finished with our drinks and had conversations of our days. We were a few slices away from finishing the bread when our food arrived. 2 plates of there Wild Mushroom with Braised Short Rib. I found that if I ask them to cook the meat properly it actually melts in my mouth and give them 2 thumbs up on that note as usual. BUT… My uncle’s dish had next to no sauce on his plate… I found a Medium/Short strand of black/brown hair in my dish… I knew it wasn’t mine because I have long brown hair, and my uncle has white hair. The manager came out and apologized to us and offered us their famous desert for free which we accepted. Overall the 2 stars fit my mood after I left my usually favorite place to eat.. . Because I have had better from them before.

Me and my fiancé come here at least one as a month and we always have a pleasant time. Many dishes that we tried are really good, the only dish so far I didn’t like was the scallops. I was really disappointed because scallop is my favorite food :( Their oysters are always fresh. I usually order their pea salad and prime roast beef, which is good. .and their cream brulee is the best one in Spokane so far that I tried.

This place is straight out of the 50s– the food, the décor and the service(our server kept referring to myself and my other 60+ female friend as «girls» even though I told him the first time I found that offensive.) And it’s too expensive for what you get! Many reviewers rave about the view, but that’s only from the small front room; you’re more likely to be seated in a brick cavern-like space in the rear. You can do better than to waste your money at this dinosaur.

Very pricey steak/seafood restaurant overlooking Spokane Falls. Great ambiance and décor inside and awesome deck to dine on in the summer. Make reservations on Friday/Saturday! Nice little bar area once you walk inside. Excellent wine choices. Now onward to the food and this is where I get a bit disappointed. We have eaten here 4 times and I have never once had something other than the lobster bisque soup which made me jump up and say wow! For the prices I need that wow factor. The prime rib is frankly awful. I swear I have had better at a buffet in Vegas, much better! I have also had the rib-eye here, the Halibut as well and while they were good, it just was not memorable. I do like their mashed potatoes a lot! We also tried the raw oysters and they were frankly not flavorful and kind of gross to be honest. We tried one of the pasta dishes once and its was very good. I believe it was the smoked chicken. Tried the ribs once, not great. Mine are much better! :) One thing I would order is the artichoke dip. Excellent flavor. Bread good here as well. In conclusion, great place for business meeting, classy and nice date night dinner spot as well. Great service, good wine and spirits, but do not expect a spectacular culinary experience! 3 ½ stars.

Fantastic views, great service and good food. This place is located right along the river in Spokane with a view of the falls, which are amazing and claims to be a Spokane landmark. It definitely appears to be the remnants of an old mill. The interior of the building is almost a nice as the view of the falls, old and comfortable. The menu is large with a nice selection of seafood and steaks and a variety of other food. The staff was quick, friendly and efficient. Anyhow we had a large number of people during lunch which they were quick to accommodate. We ordered some oysters, which they could not tell us which ones they were but they were extremely tasty nevertheless. All of our food came out in the standard amount of time, but my friend’s steak was over-cooked and it truly was. He sent it back and obviously it was going to take time to recook a steak to medium-rare, but by the time he got it back most of us were done with lunch. They did bring us a free crème-brulee, but no mention of crediting the bill or bringing a few dessert items. Just one item for a table of 6. Overall this is a nice place and good food. But for the price and quality of the food I thought it was a little on the steep side. For one thing, if you are going to serve oysters you should know what you are serving. Our server did say he would find out for us, we told him«don’t worry about it.» The steaks said they were locally sourced, but no mention of USDA prime or Wagyu. For 40 bucks plus I can go to the best steak houses in Seattle during lunch and have a USDA Prime steak for the same price. My fish I ordered was good, but laid on a bed of lettuce that was wilted from sitting too long under the heat lamp. It also said it came with potatoes but I think I might have had 12 of them and they were small. So go for the views, order some appetizers and drinks and then head to a different restaurant for dinner or lunch like Wild Sage in Spokane.

visiting spokane for husband’s conference. came here for dinner and were seated by the windows. Lovely view except if you are going to take photos of your food, note that the seating here are under lighting that will give a pink glow to all photos from phones(DSLR’s can adjust white balance but i digress) husband got a pumpkin beer(did they have more than one?) bc the one he had almost tasted like pumpkin soda, in a good way. I got the supernova martini again if you like sweet drinks, will be right up your alley. for entrees, i got the halibut cheeks and husband went with a HUGE slab of prime rib. both good, prime rib comes with horseradish(very strong but so good with the meat). my FAVORITEFAVORITEFAVORITETHOUGH is the lobster bisque. Best i’ve ever had, completely creamy, non-briney, and have a few bits of lobster meat. Our server was lovely and attentive and there is nothing to complain about. Lovely meal and highly recommended. food 4⁄5 service 5⁄5 décor/ambience 5⁄5 $ pricey

I was feeling choosy after a day of lounging and wanted somewhere nice to come & have a decent meal. And that’s what I got. First off, the view is phenomenal, it was a very pleasant surprise! My waitress was attentive but not over the top– that’s important to me. My table was never cluttered, and she kept my glasses full. However, I asked her her opinion on soups and entrees. She seemed a bit disinterested, didn’t really have an opinion on much of anything. No matter! After scanning some reviews as I always do, I didn’t see any mention of the Oysters or Clam Chowder, so I figured I’d try both of those to start. Personally, I wasn’t a fan of the oysters, a bit too sandy for me, & not cleaned up enough. They tasted good, but I wouldn’t order them again. The clam chowder was very hearty, but not of a creamy consistency I normally like.(I just came from Seattle so, I’m probably being snobbish) I opted for the Chicken Dijon as my entrée. I came with spinach that was sautéed with bacon & leek I believe? Well the spinach was gross but the chicken– it was good. Nothing special. Nothing to write home about. If I came here again, it’d probably be for lunch. It’s a solid lunch spot, dinner? Ehh. Not for me!

I went to Clinkerdaggers for the first time a few days ago and everything was perfectly fine like the service, drink selection etc. and the food tasted really good. So why only two stars? Price. The filet with lobster tail was about $ 55.00. That’s crazy. I can’t even imagine how good a meal would have to taste to justify a $ 55.00 price tag. The other meal we had was the seafood fettuccini for $ 28. It was tasty for sure but $ 28 is absolutely nuts.

Wanted to check out Clinkerdagger before I left town, its in the old Flour Mill, and has been a favorite in Spokane for 40 years, one of the perks is to ask for a table by the window, then you get to see the beautiful view of downtown Spokane and the Spokane river. Have to say that view was pretty nice, also you can get seating outside as well, but I’m going to be honest, even in May, Spokane was a little chilly for me, so my view by the window was perfect! After checking out the menu I went with the Prime Rib French Dip and like I said it was a little chilly and couldn’t pass up a cup of French Onion Soup. The French Onion Soup was almost as good as mine, ok maybe a little better(haha) the onions were caramelized beautifully and there was plenty of them, the broth was seasoned with perfection, and the cheese was melted over the top perfectly, and it was skimpy on the cheese, there was melted goodness of Swiss and aged parmesan throughout the entire bowl, this was the perfect cup of French onion soup. The Prime Rib French Dip had garlic butter on the bread, horseradish on the side along with house made jus, it was on a French roll, and I paired it with bacon asiago fries. I had high hopes for the prime rib, but sadly it was very dry, but with the jus and horseradish it turned out alright, the French fries were delsih! But how can you go wrong with bacon, fries and cheese right? Also if it’s your birthday, Clinkerdagger will bring you a free Crème Brûlée, and let me tell you, it was AMAZING! Best Crème Brûlée I have had in a very long time, so good! If in Spokane, make a reservation and take in the view, maybe have a birthday dessert, Clinkerdagger is worth the trip.

We went last night for an early Valentine’s dinner. Let me start by saying that the service was stellar and the atmosphere, while noisy was nice. We knew going in that the prices were on the higher and, and that’s ok, but overall the quantity(for some items) and quality did not match the prices. My wife ordered the ROCKSALTROASTEDPRIMERIB regular cut. I ordered the CHAR-GRILLEDFILETMIGNON(smaller cut) with Dungeness Crab & Béarnaise added on. Everything was«OK» but the crab was a VERY small bowl of meat for $ 14. Ok, maybe we should have asked, but we didn’t expect 2−4oz of crab meat and a little bowl of sauce for $ 14. The Prime Rib tasted ok by my standards, but I’m not really a big Prime Rib person. The Filet was ordered medium-rare and came back medium well. Yeah, I could have told the server, but it had taken 20 minutes to get the first one, I really didn’t feel like waiting for another one… I was… hungry. It was a very tender and moist cut(as a Filet Mignon should be) but flavor wise there wasn’t really anything that really knocked my socks off. Sure, the steak should be speak for itself, but it didn’t. Maybe it is too lean of a cut, but it almost seem too lightly seasoned. The sauce that it came with wasn’t bad, but mostly just tasted like wine. Besides, you shouldn’t need sauce to bring the flavor out of a good steak IMO! I’m not sure if it was a prime cut or not, but it almost tasted choice to me — or maybe I’m used to New York’s and Ribeyes. We’ll be heading to Costco for prime cut New Yorks to make up the disappointment — trust me, $ 17\lb is worth it. For dessert, our server offered us a «blueberry bread pudding» or at least that’s what we thought she said. Now, I really like bread pudding, but whatever that was… I’m not sure. By this time our patience had worn thin and when asked if we liked it we both agreed… no. Our server took it away and brought us the burnt cream instead. The burnt cream was the highlight of the meal. All in all, I expected to get my socks knocked off for the price paid, but instead felt like we scratched a place off our list and enjoyed each others company.

Come here for a lovely, semi-formal dinner and enjoy spectacular views of the Spokane River and falls. The ambiance is Spokane at it’s best… dark woods, comfy but still upscale, and not the least over-pretentious. The waitstaff are fabulous. They’ve been trained well and it shows. It’s such a treat to have just the right amount of attentiveness without being overbearing. My water glass was never empty and our server seemed to appear just at the moment we were ready to ask for something else. How did he do that? The lamb shank was tasty and the kitchen happily substituted different sides when I told them I couldn’t eat dairy. My date ordered the peppered steak rare and it was cooked perfectly. Juicy, tender and pink and I had to steal at least a few bites. Overall, Clinkerdaggers provides delicious, well presented meals with no extra bells or whistles in an environment that’s fancy without being too formal. This is what I would term quintessential Spokane. Don’t come here looking for modern, hip or cutting-edge but expect a lovingly served traditional steak and seafood meal.
