This place had my favorite burger, ever! I was sad to see them go out of business, and disappointed that I was in California, so didn’t get to go have them one more time. Gary and his wife were amazing, and all the food I ever had there was as well. I still have family up in Spokane, and it’s not going to be the same without Crazy G’s there when I go visit. The stay was short, but it was awesome!

Oh No! My wife and grandson and I came here today to have some great food. Been there several times, always very good. Next to Hudsons, this place did serve the best burger I have had locally(sorry Picabu… not even close). They were out of business! This cannot be true! Maybe they moved to a more desirable location(anyplace else). Please come back! I need you!

Well, many Unilocalers loved the food here. I am afraid I am not one of them. I got the Philly Steak. Having lived in the birthplace of this artery clogging delight, I am kind of particular on these. Sadly, it was kinda bland. The grilled onions and peppers were good, but the meat itself did not really have any flavor. Also, it should have been cooked longer, which would have helped bring out the flavor of the meat. Something else kind of rubbed me the wrong way as well. Went to get my soda, and three of the eight choices had an out of order sign on them. Place wasn’t too busy, so why was no one working to correct this? My guess is they ran out of stuff because they weren’t monitoring inventory very carefully. Not a good sign. Additionally, the person who took my order was Crazy G himself, and I specifically said I wanted it to go, but he didn’t write it on the ticket so the person serving up my order had to take it out of the basket and bag it up. Not a big deal when things are slow, but a big time waster during a lunch rush. Would think the owner of the place would be more careful about those details. Others loved this place, and maybe the burgers are better than the cheesesteak. As for me, this was an under meh experience, and I don’t think I will return.

The high rating for this place is for the whole experience, not just the food. The owner Gary is usually working the front line, and he is a delightful man. Fortunately I went during times when they were not crowded, so Gary took the time to really chit-chat. I was able to hear first hand about him as an individual, his family and the history of his restaurant. He seemed really excited since he is originally from the Los Angeles area, so he happily shared about different landmarks and experiences. It was fascinating that his grandfather was one of the original owners of Canter’s Deli, which is a Los Angeles staple in the Farmer’s Market area. No wonder he is a natural at the restaurant business. Now the food… I am not a burger eater, but had to have the Crazy the first time I visited. It’s a good quality burger. It comes standard with caramelized onions, sautéed mushrooms and his signature crazy sauce(which is like the usual onion ring/onion blossom dipping sauce). It was all good stuff. I snuck in some of the onion tanglers into my burger and I really liked the added crunch. My companion had the Philly Cheese Stake that time. I didn’t try it, but I was told that the meat was really good quality and it was tasty. The second time I went there we shared a pastrami sandwich. Yummy. The pastrami was extremely lean and sliced thick. I was pleasantly surprised. They were not so generous in the meat portions like some of the pastrami places I’m used to in the LA area, but it really didn’t matter so much since the meat quality was drastically better than what you usually find outside of a deli. Our friend opted for the Crazy Char Chicken Sandwich, which he devoured without saying much so I’m thinking he liked it. Great place to visit in Spokane, especially considering that most of the food in that city is TERRIBLE.

Great, fast food and good service. The staff was very friendly and the food was affordable. A definite bonus that they served beer. I would eat here again.

Great food. Exceptionally clean and organized. A lot of food for the price. Only downfall was there wasnt any WiFi. For Travelers who stay so close in these hotels this would be a nice place to dine alone and finish up on work.

It’s ok. Nothing fancy. Burger is just average. Not sure if stop again when I’m in town.

I thought the place was way over priced for a hotdog joint. The hotdogs were pretty good and the sweet potato waffle fries were alright, but the hamburger had a strange/unpleasant taste to it and the only condiments were mustard and special sauce(I didn’t see any ketchup or other condiments for the fries). They do serve beer and have a typical soda fountain. The ice tea was horrible.

Disappointing. I expected better considering the Unilocal reviews. The burger I had tasted like a food service supplied mystery meat frozen patty. Not good. I could not tell if the french fries were fresh or frozen. Again, not good when possibly fresh french fries taste no better than frozen. The onion ring are very thin, shoe string style. So thin I am not sure there was any onion in them. Crazy G’s is certainly not anything like In-N-Out. In Spokane, Fatburger is much better. Oh, and I hate the styrofoam cups.

So, traveled over from the westside for vacation and came into town hungry. Stopped here for a super crazy. Wouldn’t you know it, they were doing some sort of fundraiser and had a limited menu that day. No crazy anything Crap. So we decide to eat here anyway. Cheeseburger and fries. Took a while to get the burgers. Mine was pink in the middle which I find totally disgusting and tummy turning. I ate around the edges but gave most of it to my boyfriend. That was a huge waste of money. The fries were okay. My boyfriend and I got the exact same thing and he got a a noticeably larger portion of fries. That’s a problem. Overall, I would come back only to try a super crazy. If there is a next time, I’ll be sure to order my burger well done.

Pastrami and burgers… BRILLIANT! Best burgers in all of Spokane hands down. The shoe string onions are to die for. If they sold beer, I think I might move in. I stop by every time I’m in town

Unilocal! I’m requesting a sixth star, please. Please can I get a sixth? It’s the first time in 170 reviews I’ve ever asked for that. Can I get it? Okay so five’s the limit. But this is an emphatic five star review. I was in town for just two days and felt a stirring for something local. You know, non-chain stuff where you can get some quality food with the personality to match. I found that and a whole lot more here at Crazy G’s. I was pleased to see how clean the establishment was the moment I walked in. Beautiful atmosphere and I liked the place instantly. But it was only going to get better from here. I ordered a Super Crazy Dog, which is basically… awww…who am I kidding? There’s nothing«basic» about it. It’s a HUGE dog loaded up with… with…whatever you want! This review is kinda hard to write because they make everything your way. I chose my dog with fresh grilled jalapenos, sauerkraut, sweet relish, ketchup, mustard, and more. Oh btw — the Super Cray Dog comes with bacon and cheese which is… wait for it… baked right inside the dog! I kid you not. Never seen this before. A lot of these ingredients are free(like the sauerkraut and fresh jalapenos). You just have to ask for them. Don’t worry if you forget what they have. It’s all printed right on the menu under ‘EXTRAS(no charge).” And there are many of them. I also got sweet potato fries on the side, which come with their special sauce. The sauce is kinda mild but good for dipping. There’s ketchup and stuff if you’d like something else. I found out at the end that the kind woman who took my order was actually the owner’s wife, Chris. Actually, if she’s his wife I guess she’s really the owner. In any good marriage, the woman calls the shots. After 23+ years of solid marriage myself, just trust me on this. :) Anyway, the owner’s name — the man with the concept who made it a reality — is Gary. And he even made the time to come by my table and ask how everything was. Chris came by later to collect my tray and thank me for stopping by. Who does that anymore? Not enough people, that’s for sure. I travel up and down this country, back and front. Using Unilocal as my beacon, I sample many things. And I’ve never encountered service this stellar. I don’t expect it, mind you. I have many favorite places where I’m treated average at best. But when you’re treated like family, it really stands out. You’re treated like family here. And nowadays, that’s both unusual and memorable. I read a review about it being overpriced here or something. Seriously? I got my mega-Crazy dog for about six bucks. You can’t get that much food for six bucks at BK or McDs. Who are you kidding? The prices here are way low. Especially for what you get. Speaking of which… I haven’t talked much about the taste of the food, have I? Well, it’s beyond outstanding. They know how to prepare a hot dog here. Loading it up with fresh, quality ingredients. And they don’t shortcut you(I like Subway, but let’s face it. They’re corporately obligated to give you the least amount of stuff possible and to hurry you on your way). Speaking of hurrying, I should mention this is not a fast food joint. And it’s not a sit down restaurant, either. It’s something in between. Because everything is cooked to order, plan to wait about 15 minutes for your food to be brought out to you. But TRUSTME. It’s worth the wait. If you are within 100 miles of the Spokane, WA, area make sure you come here. You won’t regret it. Plus, we all need to jump on board and support places like this. They are far and few between.

These days it is easy to tell when a restaurant has a hands-on owner, and this is one of them. It’s very apparent that the owner is there and takes pride in his product. The place is always clean, service is friendly and the food is great. It’s not another run-of-the-mill fast food burger joint. Lots of great options to pile on your burger, and you’ll never leave hungry due to huge portions! Quality place, good ownership. Keep up the great work!

Crazy G’s has welcoming atmosphere. It is open and you can see the worker prepare your meal. I ordered the Super Crazy with bacon with the shoestring onion rings. I enjoyed the shoestring onion rings with the Crazy Sauce. I also enjoyed the mushrooms on my burger. However, the burger was dry. It was top angus quality beef, so it was disappointing to see it cooked dry. I like my burger moist and juicy. This burger was NOT! The bread was good so it made up for the dry meat. Would I go back? Sure why not! My verdict, it just A-OK. I don’t love it, but I don’t hate it. The product they serve is fresh and has value.

Hmmm, so I had read all the amazing reviews and have been wanting a good cheese steak for some time. I had seen that Crazy Gs might be the place so while I was stopping at the Jewelry center next door I decided to run in for my fix. My first impression was good, seemed like a nice layout and tables were clean and had a nice beat of people going through. Apparently, the owner is Gary who was an engineer who is now completing his dream of bringing amazing burgers etc to little’olé Spokane… of which it always needs more good food! They have a nice array of photos of, mouth watering burgers and cheese steaks. Looks like they have a super dog and some sandwich options. Also looked like they have a signature crazy G sauce aka fry sauce with some spices in a big pump jug at the front… Seeing the melty picture I ordered up a cheese steak, but didn’t have any accessories however it seems they had some good onion rings and fries. When I got my cheese steak, it looked ok. A nice fresh bun(delivered from Franz saw them in the back) with some steak in there I think… usually cheese steaks are darn near stuffed and overflowing with meat and cheese… ok so maybe it is the poor economy you know cutting back on meat and all. So I did tie in, unfortunately it was all but tasteless and the meat was not good at all. Normally a good cheesesteak has that nice chopped up meat. This was larger dry meat slices, yuck. Needless to say I couldn’t really taste any fresh peppers or cheese either. I have seriously had a better cheesesteak out of a hospital cafeteria where i used to work. I dipped it in the Crazy G sauce… at least then it kinda tasted like ketchup. Overall: 2 stars for nice place, owner seemed nice and was there, the crazy G sauce was good But I would never go back for that meal again… yuck… I may consider going back for a burger someday… but never that sad excuse for a cheese steak… not even close!

If you find yourself in Spokane for a weekend and crave some burgers, cheesesteaks, or onion rings, Crazy G’s is the place to be! It’s a family-owned restaurant with lots of delicious food in large portions. I’d suggest ordering the philly cheesesteak combo with onion rings for $ 11 with tax and a drink. The Crazy G sauce is so damn delicious that I’m super tempted to buy a bottle… only to be surrendered at the airport for my flight in a few hours. Great location — near Holiday Inn Express and Red Lion Inn/At the park. The owners are super friendly and the area is super clean for a burger joint. CHECKTHISPLACEOUT — you will not regret it!

Crazy G’s comes in at a price point which makes it a real value for casual dining. Downscale from Red Robin, upscale from Burger King and priced right about in-between. Both the burgers and the philly sandwiches are excellent with a grilled flavor neither the fast food restaurants nor red robin can compete with. When the restaurant opened the onion rings were named«Onion Tanglers» but in a striking display of paternalism they were renamed to onion rings because in the words of Gary the owner«customers couldn’t figure out what they were and I got tired of explaining it.» And this interaction seems to characterize Gary’s approach to his clientelle. Burgers are served with several fixed toppigns and there is then a menu of about 10 «on request» toppings. The first time there my son asked for everything — when it arrived with just the fixed toppings and he went to the counter to ask for the rest Gary gave him a patronizing and rather rude explaination about what«on request» meant(though a more customer driven management approach would have been to appologize and recognize that«Everything» meant just that. On a return visit my younger son decided to ask for the same but hearing from his brother about the curt lecture — he explicitly asked for everything and I was given a lecture on how odd it was for kids to «order everything like that.» My conclusion — the restaurant is destined to become a Spokane fixture if Gary can manage to humble himself enough to attend some customer service training.
