Meh. This place is a white restaurant with a black label.

We had a group of about 10 for dinner on a Saturday night. It was a special occasion– a gathering of my husband’s family and my family, which doesn’t happen often. Service was mixed. We had one waitress who made a point to refill our drinks and she was patient with the 9 of us who had never been to the restaurant. I would give her four stars. We waited a long time for food, but since we had a large group, we anticipated it(though the restaurant wasn’t busy). Here’s what was aggravating: when they started bringing the food out, the girl from the kitchen(not our waitress) was asking who had what. She called out a dish that NOONE had ordered, so no one responded, she was condescending and flat out a bitch about«who had the seafood fettucine? Hellllooo? Who had it? Seafood Fettucine? Come on…». Excuse me, Bitch, but you work in a kitchen. Your job is to get the order correct and to the proper table, which you failed to do. You have no place being a condescending bitch to US. Parking was a nuisance. We ended up paying two dollars to park a block down and were pleased. I wouldn’t leave my vehicle there after dark though. Food quality was equivalent to an Applebees or Perkins. Nothing to write home about. We won’t return.

I go here for happy hour every visit to Spokane, and I really enjoy them. The prices are quite recession-like, and it’s quite tasty bar food.

I really wanted to give you guys a great review, but can’t for the following reasons: The white board you have outside states that happy hour on Saturday is from 4pm-7pm then from 9pm-close. Our server said that«we don’t have happy hour on Saturdays» Oh, really? Well, that’s not what the board outside said. Then she said«well, it’s in the bar only.» How come it didn’t say that outside on the board? We had the option of sitting in bar, but the last time we sat in the bar, we had thought we’d get quicker and more prompt service, but we didn’t. We noticed when we were in the bar before, all the customers in the restaurant were getting their drinks refilled quickly and their servers were checking up on them, which was not the case with us last time when we were in the bar. Our server was downright just plain dumb. Really, dumb as a box of rocks. We made a phone call today to you guys to discuss what happened at our visit, how our appetizers were suppose to be half price and weren’t, but the person we talked to didn’t even seem concerned. Her end of the line was followed by stuttering and silence. The dumb box of rocks again, possibly? Anyways, onto the food: The food in my opinion gets between a 3 and 5 stars. Some of the food items are a hit and miss. I *love* their crab and artichoke dip! It’s cheesy with Parmesan on the top with real chunks of crab and artichoke. It is served with sliced french bread, not with chips. Their steak snack is awesome! It’s marinated chunks of beef that is cooked to your liking and skewered and served with fries, the beef is very tender. The appetizers here are seriously some of the best appetizers here that I’ve had in Spokane! I also had the chicken and proscitto paini. It’s ok. I wouldn’t order it again. It’s suppose to have honey mustard on it, and I think only 1 bite had even the slightest taste of honey mustard. I also had their fish and chips. They were ok. The fish wasn’t rubbery at all, so that’s good. One of the best things here that I love and i’m addicted to is their tartar sauce! It’s SO good! They use sweet relish or pickles in it, and I can tell it’s made in house. So, if you order anything with fries, ask for their tartar sauce to go along with your fries. Now, onto the best thing this place has to offer that keeps us coming back: Their deep fried ice cream ball! It’s a *huge* ball of vanilla ice cream rolled in oreos and then deep fried and served with their home made brandy sauce The brandy sauce has a sweet vanilla taste to it. I couldn’t imagine them not serving this dessert w/o the sauce, even though it is very sweet and rich. This is plenty big and rich enough to split with another person. This is what will keep me coming back again and again, even with the dumb servers, I cannot stop coming here because of my addiction to their ice cream ball. I recommend making dinner reservations if your having a get together w/a large group, cause I’ve seen lines out the door here. I wouldn’t recommend their entrées, but I do recommend their appetizers and their desserts. Oh yeah, and their home made lemonade is *truly* home made! I had the huckleberry lemonade and it wasn’t overly sweet and had chunks of real huckleberry in it. Absolutely the best lemonade I’ve had in a long time! They had alot of flavors for lemonade, so I recommend trying out some lemonade if you like a good home made lemonade. Overall: If you want half price appetizers, sit in the bar, not in the restaurant. Try their lemonade, it’s the best in Spokane! Stick to their appetizers and desserts, their entrées aren’t the best. Try their deep fried ice cream ball at least once, you will be hooked! Oh, yeah, and they do offer delivery, but I think they charge you an actual tip for the driver, so I’d recommend you placing a large order if you’re going to have anything delivered. Oh, and they *don’t* deliver the ice cream ball(for obvious reasons, lol).

Good service, clean, ok food, prices not bad for a downtown location. My son loved looking around at all the items on the walls and ceiling. Between that and a good deal on child menu I would say this not a bad choice when you have kids with along. The food is good but nothing to special in my opinion.

Some place has to do many things wrong for me to have this opinion. Went there with my folks and grandma for dinner tonight. The décor is fun and VERY much like a TGIF, w/o the flare. Got seated pretty quickly. That’s where the goodness ends. The menu is pretty diverse but nothing special. I asked the waiter what was on draft and he couldn’t remember, I asked to get a list and he came back telling me what he could remember. Forgot to bring 2 of the 4 drinks we ordered. I had the BBQ pork ribs. The WORST! They have a brown sugar with spice rub and that’s exactly how the ribs tasted like they were in brown sugar and some pepper. Did not taste like BBQ ribs at all. My families food was equally mediocre! The split pea soup looked like sludge. My salad was covered in dressing to the point that it was too much for me to finish. With so many choices around this place, skip it and try something MUCH better.

I have to say this place is a good family type place. The front desk suggested the place for dinner. I had something called a bulldog burger and what a burger indeed. Three patties covered in sweet bbq sauce, blue cheese, onions, jalapenos, and the regular burger fixing’s. Oh add cheese and bacon to the fries, and that makes it all that much better.

Every city needs a place like Cyrus’s, and even though Spokane is home of the cougars, and I generally feel like they should be deprived of all of life’s pleasures. I will let them have Cyrus’s. Hey even bums gotta eat right? Get the ribs, they come with a brown sugar BBQ sauce that is tits. I didn’t get them and I got a french dip instead, which was loaded with sauteed onions and was really, really good, but the ribs were a foodgasm, and should I be unfortunate enough to find myself in Spokane again I will order them. Also very good is huckleberry lemonade. Order it.

I haven’t been here for years, and last time I was there it did not have my favorite item, Mojo Steak. But since that was one of he best plates of food I have ever tasted, they get 5 stars. Bring it back! Drinks are pretty good too. Pecan pie was excellent

Food was typical fare. I had quiche and salad the first time. I think they use the same crust for their quiche and dessert pies. And thank goodness, so flakey and buttery. I’ve had the onion soup and it was so salty I couldn’t quite finish. The service is very friendly and they dress up on the weekends. This place won’t knock your socks off but it is a satisfying meal.

The décor is fun. The bar is a nice place to hang out with pretty decent drinks. The service is good. But the food, in my opinon, isn’t that great. I had the worst oriental salad here in my life. The rest of the food I’ve tried is pretty bland. I will come here to grab a drink but I don’t eat any meals here.

my friends and i LOVE this place. The prices are very, very affordable($ 8 – 15 entrees). And given it’s priced around the same as Chilis. the quality is way better. The burgers are delicious, so are the ribs, wings, and pasta. I haven’t tried their steak, but then again. I’d prefer to eat steak at an actual steak house. The service is usually quite friendly and fast. and the décor is a T.G.I.F. type theme, so it’s fun to be with friends to go with or during happy hour its fun. maybe a good first date place if you’re trying to keep things casual but not appear too«cheap». This place is GREAT for groups, because yes prices are very good, food is good, service is good(won’t say great), and most importantly the menu has a lot of variety. The only down aspect of Cyrus O Learys is that it can get packed during peak times, especially friday and saturday nights, so that can be a little frustrating. Highly recommend Cyrus o Learys for anybody stopping in spokane. ~G
