An amazing collection of trees from around the world. The grounds are well kept and the area is never busy with other people. There is no admission, so its a great place to lay out under the grass and take a nap. It is right next to the highway, which makes for a nice constant hum for naps. And what better place to put an attraction like this? I wouldn’t want to live next to a noisy highway, but a collection of trees to help clean the air is great. And the trees don’t seem to mind the traffic ;)

I’m completely biased as I live near the park. It’s a wonderful place in all seasons.

I came to this place as a baby and I still visit all the time and don’t plan on ever stopping. It’s beautiful and timeless, I recommend visiting especially in the fall! It’s a great spot for photoshoots and special occasions with your significant other and a fabulous place to bring your children.

Great hidden jewel. After a little bit, you don’t notice the traffic noise.

Wish it weren’t so close to the freeway, but it’s a beautiful park. There are lots of different types of trees, including some unusual specimens. My boys(ages 2 and 5) love«climbing» the giant willow tree. There’s also a nice stream that runs through the park. Lots of space to run around and explore, and it’s usually not very busy except in the fall when the leaves turn color and everyone wants to take their family photos there! As an FYI — no dogs allowed.

The husband and I are new to the area and were trying to find something to do over the Memorial weekend. We stopped here on our way to downtown. This is a great spot to just hang out, walk around, learn about nature, and a bonus: it’s free! LOL This park is huge and next time we want to bring our bikes so we can cover more ground. So many big, beautiful trees, and flowers. I especially liked the rhododendron garden. All the colors were so vibrant, almost fake. There is a see and touch tour with signs in braille for the visual impaired. One downside is dogs are not allowed but it’s a great way to spend a day.

great park… as you guessed there are a lot of trees here… its really large and the willow tree is the biggest one ive seen… in the summer its like a tent in there… like a bead door all the way around the tree… very cool.

A lot of people consider Manito The Park to go to in Spokane. I disagree, and think that the Finch Arboretum is our best-kept summer secret. The only downside to it is its proximity to the highway, but most of the park is dense enough that you barely notice the car noises, if at all. While this park doesn’t have a playground, it is a natural playground. I love to wander around here and get lost in all the green. Many of the trees and plants have labels but I don’t really even notice those. There is a touch and feel trail for the blind to read about the plants also. A great place for a picnic, a date, a walk, just to hang out; pretty much anything that can be done sitting on the grass. It’s a little scary at night, though.
