I feel like this is a hidden gem in Spokane. I know many local people would instantly know about this, such as ourselves, but before I looked into it I never heard anyone talk about it. The park is so beautiful and my fiancé and I loved coming here almost every time we were in Spokane. Anytime someone would come visit us we would always take them here. Specifically the Japanese gardens. CHECKTHISOUTIFYOUHAVENOTALREADY.

If only every city in America had a public park like Manito Park where you can enjoy flowers, foliage or wide-open spaces. Engagement photos? Yes. Family picnic? Yes. Read a book under a tree? Definitely. Bus loads of blue hairs? Absolutely. The park is SO big and so well planned that even on our visit(kids event, fundraising run, busloads of visitors), you could still meander about without feeling crowded. Oh…and dog friendly.

«Beautiful, Gorgeous, Pretty, Relaxing« My wife and I visited the Manito Park in Spokane, Washington last week, and truly enjoyed the Park, Botanical Gardens, Landmarks, and Historical Buildings we visited. We have never seen a Park like Manito Park. It was beautifully landscaped, and is tucked in an area of older beautiful homes. The Park also has a lot of paths to walk on, beautiful gardens, a lovely lake, and picnic areas. The Park was especially beautiful now, because of the colorful Autumn leaves falling everywhere. What a great place to visit and relax !

I’ve visited many parks world wide and this is one of the best! With a nice variety of sculptured and natural gardens and plenty of benches and quiet corners to relax, this is the perfect place to enjoy some peaceful moments in a beautiful setting! It is especially lovely in autumn and I’m always looking forward to my next visit!

Beautiful, even when it’s not in bloom. We come here every time we visit Spokane. Its on the hill in Spokane, surrounded by beautiful old homes. Nice coffee places around here, including Rockwood Bakery. Perfect for a date, a stroll, a family outting. The ducks are cute too :-)

Free park — which means free parking(which can be difficult to find in Spokane). Absolutely beautiful. Tons of paths to walk, beautiful gardens, a lovely lake, picnic areas. This is definitely one of my favorite spots in Spokane. There is also a lovely little outdoor café where you can get locally made Huckleberry Ice Cream as well as coffee and tea. The setting is peaceful and beautiful. If you’re in the are and looking for some place to walk, read, picnic — go here.

This park is definitely one of my favorites. It has such a variety of things to see and do. Like a kid’s playground, huge duck pond, the lilac garden and indoor greenhouse, and even Japanese Gardens. It is well maintained and the grounds keepers are friendly and knowledgable. The rose garden is great for taking senior pics or for holding weddings. They even have a section that looks like a mini Versailles which I love because I didn’t have to walk as far like I did with the real one. Its the perfect Saturday afternoon out with family or just to walk your dog.

What a beautiful park! It definitely a place to go if you’re in Spokane. I was looking at TripAdvisor for a place to check out before we headed to the airport and this was the number one destination. I love how well maintained the lawns and gardens are. It’s so lush and green! It was nice to get away from the über hot weather of sunny southern CA. Surprisingly there’s so many gardens to check out and I think it’s a great place to propose or get married lol. Great part about this place is it’s FREE! I enjoyed the rose garden and duncan garden the most because they were the most visually appealing to me. The japanese garden was nice too. A bit small but nonetheless beautiful for a public park.
