MacKenzie is just ok on all its food, including pizzas. Its just not that great and we have only eaten here three times in 3 years. Last time was due to the fact they have a late happy hour that starts at 8pm. Beer here is cold though and service very friendly. Western theme inside and bar area pretty cool. Average food, average prices, with friendly service defines MacKenzie. Rumor has it that this location is closing soon so if you want to try it, you may want to hurry!

I liked our server, she was really sweet and expecting. Service was excellent but the food was BLAND. No seasoning on my Juicy Mac burger $ 11.95, not even salt and pepper. I was brave and ordered the cheese filled buger, filling was awesome to where I wish it was also on the burger as dressing too. My husband ordered Ol’ Prospector $ 11.50 but forgot to give him the cheese filling in his meat patties. No seasoning, he didn’t like the waffle fries but we did like our kids pizza our boys ate. That was better than our burgers. It’s really cool they have a children’s menu and large portions for $ 5.95. Reasonable! Disability friendly, parking for it is very convenient. Bathrooms are nice, like resturaunt but could use more consistency in picking up and sweeping. One odd thing, as we walked in to get seated, some guy walks up to us and offers a children’s book of Moses. What’s up with that? We are there to eat, not shop or convert. Lol.

Excellent menu options with tons of variety to choose from! Each of the four items we got were perfectly flavored and so delicious! Great service too. One of our new favorite places to eat out!

I wish I could give this place a negative star rating. We went on a Wednesday afternoon at 3ish. There were maybe 8 people dining. The wait time to get our food was ridiculous! It took well over 35 minutes. The waitress came by ONCE to refill our drink while we were waiting. She forgot our appetizer and brought it to us half way through our meal. Prices are too high for the bad food and terrible service. SAVEYOURMONEY! Go elsewhere.

Had a cocktail and a butternut flat bread. drink was great, wouldn’t order the flat bread again. too much basil or something and the crust was not to my liking. Twigs has the best butternut flat bread btw. seemed to wait a long time to be acknowledged when i was in the bar, server was very nice but when i got my food, no plate was offered. i will come back to try something else, but considering it wasn’t busy, there was a significant lacking in service and attentiveness.

Not sure why I didn’t check the reviews before I came. Server was decent but the wait time was super long. Pizza was good. They put more fries on the kids meal that my meal…

Service was good and friendly. I had a foot in mouth moment when I asked the waiter where the best pizza in town was, it was completely honest, but dumb question based on where I was. The portion size of my sons mac and cheese burger was very small, almost child size, and there were about 8 waffle fries. Tai pizza was a little but under ok. Almost like Frozen pizza. Crust was good, everything else wasn’t. Liked everything more than food. Will give it another try though.

Stopped in about a month ago for lunch. We shared the Rangoon flatbread which would not be ordered again because it was not very tasty what with sparse toppings. The Stockman Pizza on the other hand was what the visit was for. The one I had in Bozeman was so good, nice crisp crust and lots of flavor, that I’ve wanted to have it again which is what I did. It’s a keeper but I may try something else on the menu and get a pizza to go for dinner. The facility is huge, clean, cozy, service fine, quality good. How many more days until…

Quick/friendly service. I was really hoping for a salad bar so we wanted to check it out. Unfortunately, no salad bar so went for soup & salad meal option. Unlimited for $ 9. Husband got the Ol’ Prospector and loved it. Comes with waffle fries. Can’t wait to try some of their pizza.

Service was slow, and the waitress avoided us even though we were sitting behind the prep station. Instead of eating, we got to hear the servers complain about other tables and joke that«they’re going to get an email about that!» When the food finally came to the table it was given to us by 2 different servers other than our own and had obviously been sitting a while. We will not be back.

Food was mediocre for the price, my chicken chili tasted like it came from a can. I’ve been sitting here now for 20 min with my plate and empty water glass and the waitress has yet to ask how our food was. It even took a while to be seated, at 3 pm on a Wednesday… Come on.

Quesadilla with the kids menu served with salsa that would burn Mexico. my wife and mother got the all you can eat soup salad and breadsticks soup and salad were fine breadsticks were a bit salty and at a premium as they were only doled out one at a time. My pasta dish had to have a cup of oil in the bottom of the bowl service was good but food with mediocre at best

6−10−15 HORRIBLEFOOD&TERRIBLESERVICE, in fact it all sucked! This is one place I will NEVER go back to. We live an hour out of Spokane and decided to check this place out, HUGE mistake. My husband ordered a small combo pizza and I ordered the Grizzly burger. My burger was disgusting, what I mean by that is, THEBURGERANDTHEBUNWEREBOTHBURNTBLACK!!! The lettuce, onion and tomato were wilted limp. The onions were SO limp, they were like a wet noodle, nothing was fresh. I was shocked that they could try and serve that DISGUSTINGBURGER. The BURNTBURGER was sent back and I drove the hour back home hungry. The service was terrible. My burnt burger set there and the waitress disappeared. She brought out only 3 of our meals and there were 4 of us there. I guess she had to butcher the cow out back. I called and complained to the manager, to which he wanted to give me a pizza certificate. I don’t like pizza, and why a free pizza? because it’s cheap. I wouldn’t even return for a free porterhouse steak dinner. Why would I drive an hour to get old wilted veggies and burnt food, NEVER again. So my advice is, go to Red Robin because their food is fresh, not old and wilted…

Food was slightly above average with great presentation but like everybody else said service was very slow. Everyone at the tables drinks were empty before refills were offered and bringing the check took about 15 min longer than it should have. We were there at 5pm on a sunday. Place wasn’t crowded.

First off I’m all about service, and this place really gave us amazing customer service! My friend her infant child and I came her for lunch today and we were instantly greeted with smiles and a «two and a half today» we were seated and we went to place our order and found out one of our favorite dressings wasn’t available anymore, little bummed but no biggie. Our server brought us our food quickly and kept our drinks filled and was very knowledgable and personable. I checked in on Facebook(tagging my friend in it because it pisses her off=)) and our waiter came over and said so what do you guys want for desert? The manager is buying since you checked in! So cool. Mackenzie you are doing it right! Thank you for the delicious food and amazing service!

Been to MacKenzie probably 10 times since it opened in 2011. The pizzas are really good and they’ll do half and half even with two different sauces which I really enjoy. It’s a good low key place to watch a game or have drinks with friends in the bar(order the pretzel sticks with beer cheese you won’t regret it) or have a group enjoy a meal. Celebrated my last birthday there and got great service for a big group and everybody raved about their food. I also like their regional beer specials and signature drinks. You should give them a try for sure.

Dinner tonight was great started off with the Lodgepoles and the cheesy garlicky goodness shone through… I had the thin Stockman pizza and my wife the cobb salad both delicious… When they found out it was our anniversary they brought us dessert, the Kentucky bourbon bites that were so delicious they took me back to my childhood… Glad we chose this for a place to celebrate they did a bang up job!!!

Third time eating here in 4 years, I am still waiting for my food I think. When the waitress has to say sorry for the long wait 3 different times… it’s too long. With that said, food is pretty good tasting and the waitress was really friendly. Hopefully it’s not because we were starving. I know I said this last time I was here but I will not be coming back here.

I have always heard good things about this place. Unfortunately my experience was less than great. We were sat next to a busing station where we had to listen to all the waiters and waitresses gossip. Our first waitress was only 19 and kind of rudely let us know that when we asked about beer. We then had to wait another 10 minutes for an of age waitress. My friend and I both ordered the black bean burger. It was over cooked and so dry it was hard to eat. I was really disappointed in the whole experience.

MacKenzie River Pizza has a fairly consistent set up, at least it seems that way this being the third one I have been to and gotten about the same experience. However, consistent does not automatically equate to good. To start off, the greeter or host or whatever you want to call him tried to seat my family of five(with two rather tall sons) in a booth that looked more appropriate to a couple. When we pointed to a different, larger booth slightly over, he looked very anxious then said«Well, I will have to talk to your server.» If we weren’t already really hungry and four out of five of us really wanted to eat here, I would have walked at this point. You don’t try to cram people in a booth clearly too small for them when you have appropriate seating available. I get that they probably have an order they seat people in servers’ sections to keep it fair. I also know that waitstaff is capable of walking, and we were sitting perhaps twenty feet from the inappropriately chosen smaller booth. Having worked customer service myself, I was just dumbfounded that the seating person would think it was that serious of a problem to seat us where we could actually sit comfortably. Anyway, enough of my really bad first impression. As I have said of other locations in this chain, the pizza dough tastes like biscuits from the grocery store, but the toppings are really good. Service is adequate but not like they actually care if we come back or not. Maybe that is why they have the crazy seating policy they do. As a final note, they had great outside seating but this was not even offered to us. Which explains why no one was sitting outside on such a nice day I guess. I don’t mean to sound hateful, but I think the people managing this location are pretty incompetent.
