Breakfast was a real disappointment! We have always enjoyed happy hour at Hop Jacks: good drinks, tasty snacks at a good price and it used to be good service. We tried breakfast this morning… and it fell short from the start to the finish! No one was even at the front desk. We found a table (there were only 2 others in the restaurant at the bar drinking)…we found our own menus. No one seemed to care that we were there to eat! Then… the food was not good. I had an omelette that was «ok» with grilled chicken and grilled onions… but the hash browns were greasy and tasted «odd». My biscuit was so cold I couldn’t even melt butter on it! My husband had biscuits and gravy and the gravy was ok… but nothing excellent. We had a pop and a Bloody Mary… and our bill was over $ 30 for poor food and service! I won’t go back for breakfast and now I’m worried about going for Happy Hour!

Hop Jack’s is the Best Neighborhood Gathering Place!
The mood of the Restaurant is uplifting and fun.
Go in for lunch and try one of the awesome sandwiches or salads. The music is good and the servers are on point.
Go in for dinner, try one of the Mac-N-Chz’s or the killer Fish Tacos.
Yum is all I can say about the menu, Fun is all I can say about the restaurant, and awesome is what you get when you put the two together!

The service was fantastic. The wait time for food was very reasonable. The food was meh. I had potato chip nachos. I wanted a mix of cheddar and blue cheese. I got half with blue cheese and the other half cheddar. The cheese was over cooked which made it hard and a bit chewy. The toppings were skimpy. For $ 10.50, I expected something more substantial. The chips were really good, but it missed the mark overall. They were pretty dry. My husband had a black and blue burger which he enjoyed.

I’ve eaten here twice, and both times I got the mac n cheese with barbecued pork and carmelized onions… It’s so delicious I crave it on a regular basis. The prices are a bit high and the portions can be on the small side, but the atmosphere is wonderful and it never feels crowded or loud. I’ve had both very friendly and negligent servers, but I consider it worth the gamble.

This is a pleasant place to eat and I would not have said this publically had there been another contact address, BUT, BRIANNA treated us shabbily. Bob never wants to return. I want to try and rectify this. One person should not have the power to dissuade us, entirely.

Super good service! The menu is quite large, from sandwiches, wraps, salads, burgers, etc there is something for everyone. I had a jalapeño burger as the wait staff said they hand press the meat. came out piping hot and the quality of meat was good. One of the best burgers I’ve had in a while. Came with seasoned fries, but I thought they were way too salted/​seasoned. Super cold beer on tap too.
updated I just went back last night, tried the western burger. It was good! The fries were not over salted like last time… beer was just as cold. Really like these burgers, I think they are the best in the northside area!

The wait staff was so kind! There was no wait for breakfast on a Saturday when every other place was 30 – 40 minutes. The food was a bit pricier than expected or necessary, but the portions were well sized. If you don’t like crispy bacon then you should pick a different meat.

Terrible service with good food. The waiter just kept telling us how slammed he was… With all the time he took to tell every table how busy he was he could have taken all the orders and ran the drinks. The food is good, not great. Next time I will be taking my family to red robin.

Decent food and prices make this a favorite place to drink and eat at. Happy hour early and late here. The wings… yummy. Steak salad pretty good too. Service has always been excellent. Jeff is great! Try a martini in their ice glass! Amazing! Decent beer choices and always ice cold but I wish they had more. Just not a five on places to watch the games, but close! I think the owners continue to try and improve the food and for that they will have a loyal customer in me. Oh ps: the fried dill pickles… ummmm.ummmm.ummmm. The street tacos… ugh.ugh.ugh. Ciao

Nobody to greet me so somewhat dissatisfied however once greeted Jeff the bartender was friendly and food was good street tacos aren’t great but BBQ mac n chz was amazing and huckleberry drops are the best in town so overall happy with this hop jacks although I do enjoy the valley restaurant atmosphere better

The food is excellent! Jeff is a wonderful bartender! Drinks are always good! When you go in there a few times they make a point in knowing your name. Love this place! It is kid friendly Sammy loves the blt!

Three stars is a generous review for Hop Jacks today. If it wasn’t for the ice cold beer and delicious garlic fries two stars would have been enough. Street tacos meat/​fish at happy hour were luke warm and plain.
Now our waiter was very energetic at first but after delivery of our food, he never said another word until he brought the check. Even the manager walked by with our empty H2O/​beer glasses without asking to refill. That’s okay management I didn’t want to stay and give you mo money.

The food is excellent, the service is excellent, and the beer is cold! What more can you ask for. I came in on sunday morning and got a chicken club wrap. The bartender introduced herself and shook my hand. Southern quality hospitality. And their house beers are phenomenal. Highly reccomend

Wish I discovered this place a while ago — loved it, good food and drinks. loved our server, didn’t get to catch her name though. I loved that my huckleberry lemonade that came in a huge tall glass came with free refills. The battered dill pickles were to die for, loved it. best in town. Had the BLTA, not crazy about the bread and not enough avocado but still was delicious. I had the garlic fries with it and the minute the plate was set down in front of me, the smell of freshly chopped garlic really hit my nose… I pretty much devoured almost all of it, yummy! Pregnant right now, so didn’t get to try any drinks although I convinced my boyfriend to try the white gummy bear martini for me and he loved it, I can’t wait to come back next year and try it myself! :)

We went for breakfast this morning, they only do breakfast on Saturday and Sundays. It was clean and the staff were all friendly. My husband had a meat lovers breakfast burrito and really liked the flavor it had. He commented several times about how good it was. I had the Eggs Benedict which was good enough, the hash browns were done right and the coffee was filled fast. It was overall a good experience for both of us, and I’m sure we will eat there again soon.

White Gummy bear margarita in an ice glass — so yummy! Really was not to sweet either (I was afraid at first) the ice cup is such an innovative way to keep your drink cool and at the end you have a couple little ‘drunk’ bears waiting for you at the bottom of the glass :)
burgers were good too — black and blue burger with blue cheese and chipotle mayo was a bit intense for me, but really good nonetheless

The service is very disappointing. A table full of friends all having meals together and the server dropped an entire glass of water on my wife for lunch. Accidents happen, I get it. But it certainly soured her lunch date as she sat waiting and then eating with cold, wet clothes. At the end of their meals she was brought the bill with a casual «I’ll be your cashier.» To not be offered her meal on the house or a discount or free return visit or even some gesture of customer service is really the unforgivable part of this experience. I paid the bill but will not return. If I have to ask for a common sense response to this kind of thing you don’t deserve my business.
As for the food it’s fine as far as beige, heavily processed food goes. It’s basically Red Robin fare so not worth an out of the way trip.
