Okay, I visted the restaurant a second time recently and it was a massive improvement from my last experience. Food was cooked, fries where crispy, burgers where not greasy and the drinks taste good. Walking in, ‘order for here’, was timely, affordable for how much my mom and I ordered. Got food for the kids and hubbies too. Their dips/sauces are awesome. Handy cap accessible, restrooms are decent, the tables, chairs and floors are clean a bit dated but CLEAN. Very happy for burger night.

Great food, fresh hot perfectly crisp fries. I haven’t had anything yet that I didn’t love.

Very pushy and poor customer service! They made it very obvious they’d rather be anywhere else but there. I will definitely not be returning. It was my first time to this place and we were pretty anxious to try finally try it. Pretty sad when the service is so bad you have to drive off in the middle of ordering..

Simply good tasting food. Good, fast service. They need to monitor the bathroom here though. It’s location attracts transients.

After making several lewd jokes about eating Little Dudes, we decide to actually try Steer Inn. I saw ‘Stromboli’ as their special, & decided to give it a try. My husband had the 2 Little Dudes for $ 5. We topped off the meal with a large chocolate malt. We got our food; I took a bite of my sandwich. It’s ham & cheese topped with sloppy joe sauce. One or the other would’ve been good as a sandwich, but it’s a good thing I was hungry. My husband liked his burgers well enough. We had some of the malt, but brought the rest home for later. The best part of our meal was the friendliness of the men behind the counter. Incidentally, the flavor of the malt improved after a few hours of sitting in the refridgerator.

This place just happened to be across the street from our hotel and since the kids were starving we decided to give it a try. My husband was a little nervous since the parking lot was empty at 6 pm but we tried t anyways. The burgers were good, hot, and made to order. The fries were also crispy and hot. The place was very clean and the whole family seemed very pleased with what they ordered. Would come back if coming through town. Kids also loved the fries sauce and ice cream.

I’ve been eating at this place for 25 years. It’s always been great. The burgers, milkshakes, fries, ice cream, it’s all good. The tartar sauce is great, and the service is usually quick.

Wow! This place really is bad. I cant believe anyone eats this stuff. So many great burger spots. This just gives fast food a bad name. Sorry for being so hard on ya but the Burger was just horrible. Zips here I come

This is a nice little place. The staff was very friendly. We even got a holla from the kitchen when we left – «Have a nice evening!» I felt as if I’d been sent a thank-you card. It made us feel good about the $ 15 we’d just spent. The bacon cheeseburger I had was good. I asked that jalapenos be added to it. I kinda thought they’d be fresh-grilled, not right out of the jar – a little heavy on the vinegar. The fries and tots were good. I give BIG props to whoever makes up the tarter sauce… amazingly wonderful.

So maybe it’s my childhood memories that keep me coming back to Steer Inn… or maybe it’s the tarter sauce! I think this is the only Steer Inn standing in Spokane that hasn’t shut down or converted to something else, thank goodness. I love the burgers, chicken strips, fries, and most of all the tarter sauce and chocolate malts. Do I dare compare this place to the better known Spokane chain, Zip’s?! I do. I moved out of Spokane 13 years ago and every time I come back and crave Zip’s, I’m majorly let down. Steer Inn on the other hand still satisfies my taste buds when they give in to their fast food cravings. :-)

When I think of Steer Inn I can’t help but smile. As a child, when we would visit Spokane, we had a tradition. Traveling north out of town we would steer in to the last business on Division Street in North Spokane. Yes, Spokane has continued to grow and change over the years; however, the Steer Inn Restaurant is still serving the same great food of yesterday. Enjoy tasty All-American food, such as hamburgers, tater tots, and Coney dogs at a very reasonable price. My all-time favorite though is the soft serve half vanilla, half chocolate ice cream cone. Next time you are driving north on Division, steer in to a Spokane icon and give it a try.

Of all the cholesterol soaked beef patties to choose from along Division, one stands out as the tallest horse at the trough… the Steer Inn. The exterior hasn’t really been maintained well in the past decade or so, but this should not dissuade you from entering and taking part in the burger bliss. Several of the burgers involve multiple patties, layers of ham, and enough cheese to support the Wisconsin economy. This place is a Spokane classic, and I hope it continues to thrive as opposed to being overtaken from the new national chains trying to mimic the real deal.
