Family-owned local business in Spokane’s Kendall Yards. Great place to buy a bike or rent one for the adjacent Centennial Trail. Forgot how cool a bike can be.

This place is awesome for bike rentals. They were only in their second week of renting bikes when we got invited to dinner in Kendall Yards by some friends one night. While we were waiting for them to arrive we walked into this shop — talked with one of the great people who worked there, and decided we would come back later to rent. We showed up shortly after they opened at noon on Sunday and they were so attentive. They picked perfect bikes for us, sized them properly, gave us killer locks and helmets, and advised that we shouldn’t fall off the cliffs. We didn’t. They gave us directions to the trail and we rode around for 2 hours. They will rent by the hour(as in, you pre-pay) or you can leave your credit card with them and they’ll bill you when you come back. This is what I recommend. I have no reason not to trust them, and the Centennial trail is so full of awesome things to do we could easily have spent more than hour 2 hours if we hadn’t needed to get to some other events. We rode out to milepost 25, then back through Expo park, past all the hotels to Gonzaga and the WSU nursing school — then back by the convention center, stopped for an ice cream cone by the fountain in the park, and then made sure and rode across every bridge to/from Canada island before heading back. We made it back to the shop 3 minutes under our 2 hours. Truth be told, a big part of this review is based on how amazing our whole day of riding bikes was, but it could so easily have been trashed by a crappy rental experience. This was totally the opposite of that. Great, fun, knowledgeable people. Plenty of parking(Free on Sundays!) and killer equipment. They sell bikes too — and didn’t mind me asking a bunch of totally noob questions about commuter bikes. Bottom line — I want you to go rent from them so they will still be there the next time We’re in town. So please make sure it’s not the day We’re going, so they will still have bikes for us. But go any other day.

Wow, board bikes! I have never seen these before, a pedalless bicycle that you ride standing up, like being on a scooter but with 20″(I think) diameter tires. What a novel concept. There was a variety of styles and stylish colors of bicycles inside the shop, as well as a selection of accessories. The board bikes displayed on the sidewalk in front of the shop caught our eyes, as we were walking the Kendall Yards Night Market. The proprietors noticed me carrying W, our Havanese poochie, and kindly offered to get him a drink of water, as it was in the upper 80s. They were very cordial in inviting W into the shop, so they’re «dog friendly» too! Take a look at their website to read about their philosophy. I plan to go back for more information on those board bikes. A very pet and human friendly shop! Give them a look see!
