We had been to this Melting Pot location once before. Some of the other guests made our nice evening out less than ideal. Although it wasn’t the Melting Pot’s fault, I was a little disappointed with my experience. After reading my last review, the owners reached out to me and invited us to come back for a special occasion to see what they can really do! My birthday is on Sunday and we wanted to do something fun to celebrate after a long week. I reached out to the owners and they quickly took care of me, giving me the reservation I was hoping for. We walked in and were promptly greeted by the hostess. After a couple of minutes, we were brought back to a booth in the Lover’s Lane area. The booth had some lovely mood lighting and even a velvet curtain to help retain that ambiance. Even nicer still, there was a birthday card signed by the staff and a vase filled with candy(my favorite!) There were also rose petals scattered across the table. The Melting Pot, from the very beginning of our meal, went out of their way to make my night special. Our waitress, Jackie, was the picture of perfect customer service. She answered any questions we had, was extremely attentive to all of our needs, and totally took care of us. Kim, the owner I had spoken with, also checked in on us multiple times to make sure that our night was what we had hoped for. I ordered the Fondue Delight and my boyfriend got the Surf and Turf. Every part of our meal, from the cheese fondue to the chocolate fondue, was amazing! We went with the Wisconsin Trio cheese, which was flavorful and went well with all of our dippers. The Caesar salads were delicious and just the right size. The entrée was spectacular — the lobster alone totally made the meal for me! They had this perfect butter sauce to dip it in that was on point. And the S’mores fondue was great, although by that point I was so full that it was hard to eat much more! They also brought me a darling little opportunity to blow out the candle! We both got a couple of drinks that were very good. I had one of their summer drink specials, an Austin lemonade that I really liked, followed by a gummy bear martini. My boyfriend got one of their summer drinks and a mojito, both of which were very good. This time, in the Lover’s Lane area, we could only barely hear the conversations happening around us. The curtain, in addition to the fact that everyone would knock before entering«our room,» really made it feel like we had the place all to ourselves! I am very grateful that we were able to give the Melting Pot another try. The atmosphere is romantic and unique, which truly makes for a perfect special occasion. They made me feel so pampered! I think, in the future, the Melting Pot will be first on our list of places to go for a celebration.

Friends and I went just for dessert. I wanted to substitute the rice krispie pieces for more banana and they told me I would have to buy a whole new plate to do so. It’s a little pricy for the amount of food I got. I would recommend eating before coming here or you’ll pay the price.

I have been to melting pots on other areas and the service has always been outstanding. Last night was the worst experience I have had. The waitress was not at all helpful and we had to ask multiple times for drinks and water refills. She was very slow in responding to our needs and seemed eager to see us out.

Poor service, overpriced, fruit in desert fondue was spoiled. Wasn’t as much fun as in past.

Generally we love The Melting Pot. This locations needs to step it up. We walked in and waited for almost 10min and didn’t see anyone, we had to wander around to find an employee. Service was ok and the food was good. Not like all the other locations we had been to.

Came here for a birthday celebration. There were 10 of us, not a huge group but you would think we brought in an army for how long it took. We were told it would take 2 hours. At the 3 hour mark we were still waiting on dessert. Our waitress had to do it all — no bussers, runners, or other helpers. Really expensive considering what you got and the time it took between courses. I don’t want to come back. My back hurt sitting that long and you can only drink so much between courses.

I have to confess that I am a sucker for fondue. It is my favorite style of meal. If you don’t understand fondue or what to expect(yes, you do cook at the table. that is the point), you might have different opinions. But if you’re in it to fondue it, you’re going to enjoy this experience. I am truly impressed by this particular location. I have been to Melting Pots in several cities, and we used to frequent the Seattle location. This one seems to have upped its game a bit, at least for couples. They go as far as having private rooms with curtains for romantic meals. We didn’t have that, but we did have a dim, secluded corner, and that was a nice touch. The service was top notch, and it was the prompest, most attentive service I’ve ever had at a Melting Pot location. The food is standard at all Melting Pots. And that is a good thing, in my opinion. I love cheese fondue, and I make it at home a lot. The sauces(especially green goddess) really add to the experience, and the Wine and Garlic Salt is so good that we bought some to use at home. The 4 course option is so filling that we can usually not finish the chocolate course. The wine list is also good, and relatively affordable for a fine dining restaurant. The only«downside» I can think is that this place is kind of hard to find.

I am the type that has no problem at all, with paying a steep price, for an amazing meal, in an atmosphere that I find enjoyable… but, The Melting Pot, is not one of those places for me. The cheese fondue is just okay in flavor and the accompanying dippers, are unimaginative. The bread bites aren’t toasted and they need to be. When it comes to cooking the proteins(steak, chicken, shrimp, lobster), you pick a broth to BOIL your meat in; yes, boil your meat… eeeewww. I could maybe give this place three stars, if they gave another option for method of cooking, before dipping in the sauces. No one should find filet mignon boiled in broth, appealing. Only one, out of the three times that I have been to The Melting Pot, was the service pretty good; the other times, we felt ignored. Bottom line, it’s not worth it to come here, not even for a special occasion. The food offerings completely lack in flavor and creativity and the service is lackluster at best. If you love fondue, get yourself a fondue set and make your own experience at home.

My fiancé and I had dinner at the Melting Pot right after my proposal. I was looking for a romantic, fun environment to dine and I found it here! The ambiance was exactly what I was looking for. A quiet, romantic place to dine. I would highly recommend this restaurant for couples, but not for families. You can also request a private table, although it costs quite a lot. The service was quick and helpful. When we walked in, I was greeted by a staff member who quickly found our reservation and took us to our table. I can’t say the server was fast because it is a relaxed, slow, romantic restaurant. If you are looking for a quick meal, this is NOT the place. I was pleased with the pace that the server went at because we were in no hurry(our meal was 2:15 total time). I will say, that when we had just gotten our desert fondue, we realized we had forgotten to order the extra dippers, and when we asked our server, she brought them out almost immediately. We both ordered«The Crave Combo»(Cheese, Salad, Chocolate) which, in my opinion, is the best value. Its easy to miss in the menu because it is on a very small insert. We got the regular cheddar cheese fondue which was made at our table by the server(very classy touch). The dippers were not overwhelming, but my fiancé and I did not finish the ones we were given(the cheese was very filling). The salad course was a nice break from the more«heavy» courses and both of us really enjoyed the variety of salads available. Lastly, the chocolate was the best I have ever had in my life. We did a mix of milk and dark, and the sweetness was perfect! They almost give you more dippers for the chocolate than the cheese! We were both stuffed and satisfied very quickly! There were several other couples that we saw come in and just order the chocolate. Not a bad idea if you wanna have a nice desert out! I see no reason to get an actual entrée because I was 100% satisfied with just the cheese, salad, and chocolate. Overall, I was pleased with my choice of restaurant for the occasion. It is a little pricey(our meal was $ 70 before tip), but for romantic, noteworthy occasions, it is worth paying a bit more for the awesome atmosphere.

Had the best darn server. I didn’t think any melting pot could beat my native RALEIGHNC melting pot but this location is a winner. Our party of 6 was treated amazing. We definitely felt like a priority. I always look forward to the chocolate fondue.

Why a 1 star rating? The food was delicious after all, the service was fabulous! But when you think about the simplicity of it all… It’s fondue. You cook the food at your own table, they just cut it up and put it in front of you. They have no chefs, just prep cooks. We’ve eaten here twice with the family. 5 of us with tip was over $ 300.00 I’m investing in a fondue set, and never going back to melting pot… The vale just isn’t there…

Went for my birthday dinner with friends and family. Very delicious, they had a cute card and dessert for me as well. The experience was delicious, the duck was great! For dessert I chose a dark chocolate with Chambord liquore, so tasty! Our party was 18 and everyone ate at the same time which is difficult!

It’s rather difficult to get to but once you’re there it has nice décor and a friendly staff. This was a unique dining experience but not one I will likely repeat in the near future. Although the concept is fun, I’d rather not have to cook my food myself at the table. Perhaps if they had regular meals and appetizers and desserts were fondue style then fine but the entire dinner like that? No thanks. It also took FOREVER to get through all three courses. If I go again, it’s strictly for the cheese fondue and the dessert fondue. It’s a bit pricey for all the work one has to do at their own table. Fun but not for me.

If I can skip the main course and go straight to desert without being judged or feeling gluttonous, I would. I’m not really into boiling my food. Too much to think about but the sampler desert was amazing!!!

Great food. Nice atmosphere. I would have given five stars but reservations were for 8PM and we weren’t seated until 8:30. Pricing is a bit high for some of menu. All in all. One of my favorite places to go for a special occasion. And the service was also great!

Really enjoyed our valentine’s at this melting pot. Great service, atmosphere, food, etc. It was great! The location was a bit hard to find, and even though we had 6pm reservation we were waiting for about 15 minutes to be seated, but other than that we had an awesome time and will definately be going again soon. The one in Sacramento California is great as well, where we use to frequent.

As the Unilocal phrase beside the rating stars says of a 3, this place is «A-OK» Been here twice, both times its because my wife likes it. My opinion. I see fondue as a fun thing you do at home or at a corporate party with your co-workers. Not dress up nice, make an event out of it, and pay lots of money for bite sized main dish-appetizers(hope you see the contradiction). But according to popular demand I’m wrong. This last night the place was full. My wife and I had to wait an hour to be seated. I can’t imagine other holidays like valentines or Mother’s Day, etc. this place most likely gets packed! So if you want to come here on a Friday or Saturday night weekend, call ahead and make reservations. That goes for holidays too when they are open. The facts: Our waiter was friendly and attentive, for the most part. She explained how the fondue process, and menu worked(we had my sister in law. It was her first time). Good food. Good portions. Good variety of sweet pieces to dip into the chocolate fondue. Good variety of fondue options. In conclusion: I have to say if you’ve never been, go for the experience. If you have, go do fine-dining elsewhere. Really. Eat an actiual main-dish where you are served like an adult not a baby with money to throw at finger food.
