Located on the South Hill, this little ice cream shop is adorable! Even better, the ice cream is delicious. I went this past weekend during hoopfest for the first time and tried Banoffee Pie. Banana, toffee, with cookie butter from Trader Joes. Oh my, it is definitely the best flavor of ice cream I have ever had! I think I might swing by again today. YUM!

I love this place because they always have at least two vegan options and GF options as well. They always have scrumptious flavors too. I try to get over here whenever I’m in Spokane.

This is a wonderful little gem on the South Hill. I feel so lucky to be within walking distance, but it is well worth the drive. One thing I have not seen in the reviews is that they have Mexican Coke(made with cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup). Also besides the fantastic ice cream, they have lunch items as well. There’s plenty of seating outside, shade or sun, whichever you prefer. The service and food are fantastic. Disregard any review that says otherwise, they probably give terrible review to everyone!

My name is Elizabeth and I need to start a The Scoop Anonymous group. We just moved to Spokane(seriously just moved), we saw the place online and drove over a week ago… And EVERY night since! We have tried several ice creams(every last one has been delicious), the bread pudding, the homemade waffle cones… So much deliciousness in one little shop. Our oldest asks every night(when he gets back from work) if we brought him ice cream from Scoop. One kid just graduated high school and we brought him as part of a little celebration we had and now he wants to know when can he go again. Even our three year old who was asking for«baby cupcakes» now sees the shop and screams«Ice Cream!», the two year old makes mmmm sounds with every bite. If you haven’t been here you are totally missing out. The people are super friendly and always ask if you want a sample of anything. Ok guys. See you tonight!

As Don Kardong says, «Without icecream there would be darkness and chaos.» I would add… Without unique local businesses Spokane would be such a bummer. The Scoop is a charming local business making KILLER icecream and we need to keep supporting them! I recently realized they also do tons of breakfast items and have very generous hours that they are open! Enter savory waffle– MONTECRISTO. The waffle is sliced in half to make this scrumptious treat. Add the Scoop to your brunch options!

My husband and I shared a pannini and the a waffle with fruit, Nutella and whipped cream. The sandwich was delicious and generous in size. The waffle combination was yummy and just enough to share. We will definitely go back.

Went there for ice cream. It was good. Decided to try breakfast the next morning. What a disappointment. $ 6.50 for a waffle with very little inside. Pictures on the wall are deceptive. Will not go back there again. Total rip off.

I love this place! Every time we come Over from Portland Oregon to visit Spokane family, we get deelish breakfast sandwiches and some of the best coffee in Spokane at Scoop. Plus this morning I got to witness their fresh icecream being made with the monster blender and liquid nitrogen — so cool. The folks who run and staff this place are also always friendly, amazing. Five stars over four years of visits!

The Scoop is a small ice cream & waffle shop, locally owned and loved by its neighbors. The owner creates all the flavors and works hard to make her business a success. They make new flavors almost hourly in their store. It a pretty cool sight if you catch them at a time they are mixing the liquid nitrogen. I love their Berries & Biscoff Flavor. Cookie butter is God-sent. It’s made with Berries, Biscoff cookie butter & whipped cream. They can also make you a variety of waffle sandwiches. I tried their new waffle sandwich flavor complete with ham, cheese, cream cheese, jalapeños, and topped with powdered sugar. It was an explosion of flavors and really unique.

Love this cute lil ice-cream shop in the south hill. It’s a small business, family-owned I believe and has some of the friendliest people! The actual shop is pretty tiny so if it’s nice out, sit outside! Plus on hot days it gets a little stuffy inside. They make their own ice-cream here(right in front of you!) so that’s a big win in my book. To make their ice-cream, I think liquid nitrogen is used to flash freeze it. Nonetheless their ice-cream is tasty and unique!

I stopped in here with a few friends on a Sunday afternoon. It’s a small space but it has outdoor seating. This store had many good flavors to try, many of which I haven’t seen at other ice cream shops before. I ordered the oreo mint patty flavor and that was amazing. Other notable flavors that I also tried were caramel coffee toffee and the chocolate butter cup. The flavors in the ice cream were pretty strong, so you know they made it well. Overall this is definitely a nice place to stop by for ice cream.

I feel like the Scoop deserves a poem or a song or an ode of some sort written in its honor. However, I do not possess the skills to do any of those forms justice so you’ll just have to take my word(s) that this is THE place for delicious, unique, small-batch ice cream served with a smile. Seriously, the staff here are amazing. And it’s an extra cool touch that if you come at the right time you can witness the ice cream making process for yourself. For the scientist in all of us nothing beats standing in the«fog» of the liquid nitrogen boiling over the kitchen aid as another batch of ice cream comes into being. The Scoop also offers tasty gluten-free and vegan ice cream which I really appreciate since I’m lactose-intolerant and I am always at war with myself over suffering for the taste of ice cream. Suffer no more! You can also order their leige-style waffles and espresso and other goodies. It doesn’t take much to convince me that we should hit up the Scoop for breakfast since a waffle with ice cream and maybe a shot of espresso poured over totally counts as a wholesome breakfast right?

Small, local shop with only a few items but these are all done right! Ice cream was delicious and basic flavors are on-point. Prices are reasonable! I am hoping to go back and try their waffles!

The ice cream was very good. They make it on site with liquid nitrogen. I had the salted caramel, the texture was great, creamy smooth perfect amount of salty and sweet. My wife had the salted carmel with pretzel pieces, the flavor was great but the texture was a little warm, they had to put it in a cup as it was almost melted. The atmosphere was perfect, the have alfresco seating and the weather was ideal. It is located in a residential area and is quiet and inviting. Now for the not so good. We also have wanted to try their liege Belgian style waffles. We ordered a Biscoff and berries, the berries were fresh and tasty and anything with Biscoff tastes great. However the waffle was very dry, ours was not make fresh at time of ordering, there were a few under the waffle baker that had been previously made and they put ours in a toaster to warm it. A liege waffle is supposed to be crisp on the outside and light in the middle, this was not, it was dry and heavy, albeit the light cinnamon flavor was pleasant. Next time«if» there is a next time I will insist on a freshly made waffle.

Absolutely delicious. The textures are smooth and creamy, the flavors are awesome, and portions sizes are great. I ordered Mocha Brownie Crunch and Mint Oreo Patty. Both were awesome. Creamy ice cream with big chunks of brownie crunch and Oreo patty. So good — that’s the way I enjoy ice cream. The perfect balance. I tried several other flavors as well(Salted Caramel — which I recommend if you like a smooth texture with no crunch, Mud Pie, Vegan Chocolate — which I recommend if you don’t do dairy, and Chocolate). All were excellent. I honestly had a difficult time selecting which two flavors I wanted — I almost went for three… Everything is homemade so the place smells wonderful. If you like waffle cones, they make those as well and I recommend getting one! This is a little shop on the corner in a suburban neighborhood about a block from an awesome overlook of Spokane Valley. Family run — which is an added bonus if you like supporting locals! Prices seemed spot on for what they offer. 5 stars because I’d definitely go back if I visit Spokane again — and because I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place to someone!

This is a cool little ice cream shop near Manito Park. They make their own ice cream and it was a neat experience to see them making freshly made salted caramel ice cream just as we arrive using liquid nitrogen. Only downside was that since they just made it the ice cream melted quickly so you couldn’t really enjoy it. By the end it was pretty much a milkshake.

Love this little place on the south hill. They serve roast house coffee and some of the best ice cream I’ve ever had! My personal favorite is the affogato waffle. A crispy waffle served with a scoop of ice cream and espresso poured over the whole thing. Best thing ever!
