I really don’t like leaving poor reviews for local businesses, but our experience was terrible! We were really excited for a place to get gyros in the valley. We were not seated by anyone, an older male just stared at us until we took a seat. We had to get a menu off of another table, which wasn’t too hard as the place was empty. When we were brought water we ordered 2 gyro lunches. I asked to add a side of fries(as other dishes on the menu came with fries) I was coldly told«no fries» I said oh ok and asked if we could have no onions on both please. The man turned and walked away and said over his shoulder«we don’t have onions». When our food came out about 7 minutes later, the gyro meat was already cold. The tatziki sauce and what appears to be a bland ranch dressing came out in Dixie bathroom cups. The food was subpar at best… We were never checked in on and never offered anything to drink other than water. We did not receive a bill and instead had to walk around to the man, who blankly stared at me until I pulled out my wallet and handed him my debit card, to which he said nothing. He handed me my receipt to sign and my card. I noticed he charged me $ 8.00 per gyro instead of the $ 7.50 that the menu reflected. I signed the receipt and left, never hearing another word from the man. I would NEVER recommend this place! The Olympian in CDA is well worth the drive in comparison.

I hate to criticize a small family business, but I don’t know how this place stays in business. First, the service is terrible. No one greeted my family. A man just stared at us, we asked if we should choose a table, and he gave a curt, «yes.» Once the server/cook came, she asked if we were ready to order. I told her we didn’t have menus. She said, «they’re on other tables.» She brought water and never offered us any other drinks. The man who stared when we came in took our orders but never spoke. He just walked up and stood there and then walked away abruptly when we stopped talking to him. A few minutes later, the lady brought our hummus, Athenian chicken, and gyro, which brings me to the second subject of criticism, the food. The food was bland and overcooked. In fact, the only things that weren’t terrible were the green salad and the pita bread, which clearly was store-bought. Second, did I mention the disorganized menu? Two items were printed twice and no description even sounded good. Third, no one ever checked on us or brought our bill. We had to go up to the staring man and ask to pay. Once done with that, we got out of there and ended up going somewhere else to eat.

We had a humus plate, gyro, and Athenian Chicken. All were mediocre and bland. For a restaurant with only 3 tables of guests at the time, service was non existent. The menu is limited and disorganized. The hunt for good Greek food in Spokane continues, just not at Two Columns.

Amazing food. I am truly looking forward to trying everything on the menu. And my black friend liked it as well.

The place is clean, the food is fresh. We had the fettuccine Alfredo, which was yummy, the tiramisu and the baklava were the best I’ve ever had. The salad and salad dressing were great. Our calzones were over cooked, almost burnt. The service is nice and the owner is very friendly. The negatives: service was extremely slow. We waited an hour to get our food. We had to get up three times to ask for water. I would come again only if I wanted to have a long dining experience and visit with friends. My tip for the owner: get a good waitress.

Just had lunch there and our food was great! I was surprised to see borsch on the menu;) but the taste of it definitely brought me home. And the prices are unbeatable. It is a great place

Landed in Spokane and was starving and was told of a local spot that offered great food, so I said lets go check it out. So off to Two Columns we went, now this is a true locally own spot, the owner not only takes your order, but he then goes cooks it, it’s like going to your uncles house, you can just tell he enjoys making you good food. After checking out the menu I went with the gyro lunch special. It was roasted beef and lamb on a warm pita and came with a side Greek salad. Couple things that made this meal excellent, the beef lamb combo was so tender and juicy, not dried up at all and he makes his own tzatziki sauce and let me tell you, that stuff is amazing! I probably could have ate it with just a spoon, so good! The salad was great as well, and it too had homemade dressing. This was a great lunch time meal, glad to have stopped by and I know when I am in town, Ill will be back!

I don’t even know where I should start. This is a quaint little restaurant that you could easily zip right past on busy Sprague outside, BUT you should stop… you owe it to yourself. We were sitting next to a group from Montana that drove all the way here JUST to eat this food! I’ve never been one for Greek only considering that I haven’t had the opportunity to eat it much. Let me just say that now I am completely obsessed. The menu here consists of Greek and Italian, it is small but everything is scratch made with love by the owner who brought the recipes over to Spokane from his country and travels. I ate the gyro here a week ago, and I’ve craved it everyday since! The lamb and beef meat is seasoned perfectly and literally melts in your mouth, and that of course is complimented extra well with the delicious cucumber sauce. It comes alongside a salad that is topped with tomatoes, olives, cucumber and the perfect amount of feta.(I honestly usually hate feta– I think it tastes and smells like feet, however the feta here doesn’t have an overbearing flavor whatsoever) We also tried the baklava and tiramisu, both were equally delicious with perfect hints of cinnamon or espresso. What made this beyond amazing experience even better besides the food was the delightful conversation we shared with the owner. He told us stories and we cracked jokes for at least 30 minutes after we’d finished eating. To top it all off, the prices are great! You get more than a reasonable portion of food for very little. My gyro meal was $ 8, after my 50% tip it was easily the best $ 12 I’ve spent on a meal in a long time!

My first and only trip to this restaurant resulted in a nasty case of food poisoning. We waited over an hour to be served our meals. It is built in an old gas station and has limited temperature control. There were no light bulbs in fixtures near several tables. Prices look reasonable on the menu, but are definitely too high considering the outcome of our meal. I would not recommend this establishment to anyone. Run, don’t walk, away.

A couple at Dave’s Bar & Grill told us about the Two Columns. Good food at a good price was the gist of the recommendation. They were right! We had chicken feta chine and moussaka. Both were cocked from scratch and excellent. Each was under $ 10.00.

I had a very nice meal this evening at Two Columns. I started out being the only person in the restaurant and it was nice to just enjoy the quiet music, sip on my chianti, and watch the sun go down. The owner was very gracious and made sure I had plenty of water and took my order right away. The tortellini Romano was just as described on the menu. The pasta was nice and fresh and the light tomato cream sauce was the perfect accompaniment. When he came back around to check on me I asked if he had a roll or some toasted bread that I could use to soak up the rest of my sauce, and he came back with a lovely grilled pita with fresh parmesan and feta on top. That was a nice ending to the meal. The salad that came on the side was also full of fresh greens, more parmesan, cucumbers, tomatoes, and olives. I saw that they have a seafood pasta dish on the menu with mussels, clams, and shrimp. That was my 2nd choice and I may have to go back tomorrow to have that one. I was also impressed with the wine selection. Thankfully 2 more couples arrived as I was leaving. I hope this place stays busy because the food is definitely delicious. My meal before tip was $ 19.00. The entrée by itself is only $ 9. I look forward to a return visit.

Out of town, daughterv said she wanted spaghetti. Stopped in because the navigation said it was the nearest Italian restaurant. Great fast friendly service. He even tossed in a free dessert. Would definitely return.

The food was exceptionally well made. We ordered the mixed seafood pasta and the chicken Alfredo. Both were fresh, hot, and very tasty. Both served with salad and home made dressing. I absolutely love the dressing it’s thin and chilled and not thick and not salty! I only give them three stars because despite the fact that there were only two gentlemen running the place there are a few basic things they really should change. They did not great us nor seat us. Even if we seat ourselves they should come over right away and great us and take our drink order. We sat for 10 minutes without anyone coming over. He poured the water and asked if we knew what we wanted to eat. We told him what we wanted to eat and he turned and split. We waved him over a few minutes later to ask for some iced tea(big mistake). They make ice tea to order in an individual pitcher you keep at your table. That’s fine and the tea tasted good but it took so long to get the tea out that we were nearly done eating by the time he brought it. I’m never one to complain but this place seriously lacked hospitality.

WOW! The food is amazing here. Our party ordered the hummus plate, a bowl of Borcht, which is an unusual beet soup(the bowls of soup could easily serve two people, well over 4 cups per bowl) a bowl of French Onion soup(not served traditional style, no bread or cheese on top, rather more like a chicken and onion soup), the lamb chop plate, and the pork chop plate. Everything we ordered was FANTASTIC! Due to being a small restaurant and everything is handmade by the owner himself, the service is slow. If you can have patience you will enjoy a unique and delightful culinary experience.

Two Columns is a quaint little restaurant. Yes, they have a small menu– but the owner knows what he is doing. He has lived all over the world eating and making all different kind of food. He loves to get to know his customers. We sat down and he came over and treated us like family. This guy is the sweetest man on earth. We ordered the lasagna– he uses fresh mozzarella and mascarpone– phenomenal. We also got the scampi, jumbo prawns with sautéed veggies over delicious rice. He makes his own salad dressing from scratch. He makes his own baklava from scratch with pistachios and macadamia nuts. He makes his own tiramisu from scratch. And he gives HUGE servings for a very LOW price. I would highly recommend trying this place. It doesn’t look like much from the outside but do not judge a book by its cover. It has a very welcoming, home-like atmosphere. The food is fantastic. The owner is awesome. Come try it out! You won’t regret it.

This was delicious! My husband had lamb chops. The plate was beautiful with the chops on a bed of rice, a generous salad and a good portion of a zucchini, onion, tomato medley. My plate of moussaka was nearly as lovely. Four nice slices topped with tomato sauce and melted cheese on a rice pilaf. The yogurt dressing was a wonderful complement to the salad. This was our first time here since it became Two Columns. We will definitely be back!

Food is not any better than a fast food restaurant. Selection is extremely limited. Meat advertised in the menu as USDA choice beef with lamb looks and tastes not any better than spam. It might be spam or *kolbasa*. The only vegetarian choice was deep fried. Service is subpar. We have asked for 2 drinks and got one. We did not get properly greeted and seating help felt awkward at best. I have a feeling it the same owner as the place that closed near Hastings on Sullivan and Sprague.
