The manager was really rude. I have no idea why, but all I asked was if they had the color of foundation I needed in stock because it was not on the shelf, and she gave off such a negative attitude. Even my friend commented on this.

Be prepared for terrible customer service. Not only are they extreamly rude to customers the employees are completely uneducated on the products they sell. If you are in the northtown area skip going to ulta completely and go to sephora instead.

Ulta at northtown square in Spokane, wa: I do wish I could give a no stars for very poor customer service. The employees don’t seem to have the knowledge of the products the store has to offer. They see customers walking around but don’t seem to want to ask if they need help and the ones that do ask don’t know how to direct you to a product that is similar when the desired product is out of stock. They just leave you to wonder on your own. They send out coupons but you can’t use it on most of the products in the store. I don’t understand why they don’t read these customer reviews and improve what most complain about which is: customer service and product knowledge. Sephora is so much better. They don’t judge the hell out of you like everyone who works at Ulta in Spokane.

Sorry so long… I wish I could give 1 ½ stars here. I am all about the customer service. Let me begin by saying the girls at my work seem to be head over heels for this place. I have one beauty shop I buy from and I am very happy with it. However I decided to go in and purchase a gift for one of my daughters teachers. I arrived at 2:301÷23÷13 Upon entering I was welcomed by the cashier. Nice. The selection is immense! No kidding home depot for females. The price range is huge also nice. So there I was wondering around unable to really find something that piqued my interest. There were two people working in beauty/cosmetics helping no one. There were a total of 3 customers in the store at the time. I wondered all over twice. Obviously looking like I needed help. Eight minutes after entering and lost I was fed up and asked for help myself. «I asked if there were any gift sets»? «Well its not really the time for gift sets«she said. She began to look. I was like okay. «Well what’s your hot item now»? «Like serums, or lotions»? She pointed across the store. «The purification line(I think it was) is popular now». Okay. She didn’t attempt to take me there. «I said well what about a clarification shampoo»? «Can you recommend a good one for blondes»? She then took me to the shampoos and showed me one. conversation ended there. I still felt I got shafted with her attempt at «helping» me. I wondered over to the purification line. Looked and looked. 15 minutes after entering the cosmetics woman(with her much to think eyeliner against a very light brown eye shadow and tranchaula lashes) asked if I needed any help. I advised her that someone already made a poor attempt at it thanks anyhow. I bought a shampoo and a body butter. I was ready to spend some serious dough! The only reason I know how long I was there is because I ended a phone call just before I went in.

Nice selection, everywhere from low-end to high-end beauty products. You can find everything here! However, pricing can be difficult as they can be more cheap or expensive than places such as Walmart or Target– shop around! While in the store on 2 separate trips, employees didn’t seem so responsive to asking customers if they needed help with anything– or if they did they were seemingly busy doing something else to where personally, I didn’t feel comfortable holding them up. I give the store a 4 star rating as selection is great but service is lacking.

I wish I could give Ulta zero stars. This place drives me crazy! I have given Ulta a second chance WAY too many times. If you go, I hope you are not looking for something that was advertised in their weekly flier — becuase it will definitely be out of stock. The other day, I was looking for one of their«daily deals» only to find out from the employee working that the store only had 3 in stock at the begining of the day and that an employee purchased all 3 of them. They often mail out coupons for 3.50 off your entire purchase OR20% off your entire purchase — BUT, you can’t use the coupons on merchandise in half of the store which I find to be really annoying. I went to buy some nail polish, but the store manager told me that the deal advertised wouldn’t apply to the base coat that I was buying. I personally had to read the sign to the store manager 3 times before she agreed that she didn’t fully understand how the promotion worked. Are you kidding me? The store manager doesn’t even understand her stores promotions? Really? The employees don’t ever seem to be too interested in helping their customers. So you should probably only go here if you know exactly what you are looking for and exactly where to find it. My recommendation is to go to or Sephora inside JC Penney’s if you live in Spokane.
