Lowe’s Home Improvement

This Lowes… blows! When you walk around… the people are annoyed with you needing assistance. Passed that, We got a door. It was 500 $ and I was told someone would be here 3 days later to take measurements. It happened 2 weeks later. Called Lowes to ask what is going on? I got transferred 3 times and hung up on. I called back and got what sounded like Shaggy from Scooby Do. He asked me twice… are you sure we didn’t call you? I lost my cool right then. I want to «Follow up» as much as I like being caught in a hurricane. I STILL have yet to have the door installed. Home Depot is right across the street. Do yourself a favor and go there instead. You’re welcome.

Went with my parents and the 3 of us split up. Not one person asked any of us if we needed any help. I got a lady to help me decide on new window blinds. She treated me like an idiot. She didn’t like my measurements because they had been recorded length by width and ‘that’s backwards’. I told her I just wanted her advice because this store is much bigger than my local Lowes (Thomasville, Ga) with many more options. She just stared at me. Standing there with my measurements, ready to replace every single window blind in my house and I walked out because she frustrated me so much.

I doubt if they know me but it always seems like they go out of their way. In a previous post I had a horrific time with Home Depot. With Lowe’s, I don’t have to worry about that. I know what I want … know where to find it … and help is always abundant.
*** was looking for square U bolts, among other things. I couldn’t find them but, with two guys looking for them, I felt they loved their jobs. I did order them on Amazon yesterday … didn’t think they would have them but excited to get my project done.

So I need some new cabinets for a new home I bought. Against my better judgment, having had a previous unsatisfactory experience with Lowe’s, I gave them a 2^nd chance.
I spent 2 hours on their website on 2 different occasions and was unable to complete the application for their credit promotion. 9 times I filled out the online form that promised a «30 second decision». 36 hours later, I was no closer to a «decision».
I filled out their «contact» link on the website and got a response from a complete nit wit, who hadn’t really bothered to read the email I had sent. I responded by suggesting she read my contact form and then respond … 7 days later, I’m still waiting.
So I submitted a direct inquiry to the store and was contacted by a «kitchen designer», who basically wouldn’t talk to me, until I paid a $ 75 charge to have my kitchen «measured». I live 1500 miles away and don’t have much time to deal with this and she assured me that she’d get the kitchen measured and be prepared when I got to Florida.
She may have been prepared, but she wasn’t ever at the store, nor available by phone. I went to the store 3 days in a row and each time, spent over 30 minutes trying to find someone … anyone … in the kitchen cabinet department. The department was completely unmanned and not a soul in the building who seemed to have a clue about cabinets.
After being totally aggravated, I decided to visit a competitor across the street. Unannounced, without an appointment, I just showed up in their kitchen cabinet department. There were 3 «designers» available and within 10 minutes they had arranged to have my home measured at no charge and offered a number of alternatives for my cabinet and counter-​top needs.
BTW, I’ve requested a return of my $ 75 «measurement charge» from Lowes, but per usual … I haven’t received a response from them.
Bye, bye Lowe’s!

I’ve been in this store several times and NO ONE EVER asks me if I need any assistance. The employees wander around the store hanging out, laughing and talking and ignoring the customers. Terrible service here. I’m going to stick with Home Depot, their customer service rocks, Lowes (at least the one here in Spring Hill,) sucks!
I wanted to complain to the manager, but couldn’t find one.

Your standard Lowe’s, nothing better or worse than any other Lowe’s. A clean store with lots of friendly employees.

This is a very good location to shop. The shelves are stocked with product and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a great selection of outdoor plants at very reasonable prices.
