Have been there many times. It has been hit and miss. One time the pizza was good, next time, not so much. The wait staff is either good or bad. They keep the restaurant so cold, you sit and freeze trying to eat your pizza, and of course the pizza gets cold. I’m from NY and have had better pizza here in Florida. We usually go with friends, but went one night by ourselves. We ordered a cheese pie and it appeared to been sitting in the kitchen and reheated for us. Was not happy with that visit. Need to find another place.

I keep returning here because the pizza looks like NY style and I soooo want it to taste that way as well. I have given them the benefit of the doubt numerous times, hoping next visit the pizza will taste better. Never happens. Neither crust, sauce nor cheese have any discernable flavor. The only flavor that stands out is salt. Far too much of it. The restaurant appears to be clean but the cashier picks up the pizza slices with bare hands, puts them in oven, comes back to register and punches in your order, then returns to pizza oven only to remove slices with bare hands again. This happens every time I have been there. I have asked that they not do this but each time when I return, same thing. Workers should not be answering phones, handling money and credit cards and then touching food without hand washing. Anyway, sadly, I can’t recommend this restaurant for pizza. It just isn’t tasty.

Well, up until last night, I would have had auch better review of Roccos. Called and ordered a medium pizza with extra cheese and an antipasto As always, the antipasto was very good. However, the pizza was horrid There was hardly amy cheese on the pizza, nevermind extra cheese. The crust was dry and tasteless. I would have done better going to Publix and buying a frozen pizza. Don’t know what happened to them, but it will be a while before I visit th again.

Visiting from New York Roccos was recommended by family who live here we stopped in on a busy Friday night and had a great meal. Service was very adequate my wife accidentally spilled her drink and they moved us to another table immediately. Had pasta with clams mussels shrimp. very reasonably priced. My wife and fettuccine Alfredo and it was cooked just right had leftovers brought him home and we ate them again the next day very good everything was excellent I recommended very highly the prices are really very very good and this is coming from a person who owns a restaurant in New York. I have not tried the pizza but I have heard that it’s pretty good

Pizza is adequately priced, place is large, garlic knots were great, pizza was thin but cooked well. Didn’t flip over when folded. Cheese was nice and salty and the sauce was the right amount of acidic, not sweet at all. Highly recommend this place

Did not even want to give it a star. Over priced freezer pizza at best. Feel robbed from and lied to by other Unilocalers. The gluten free pizza is worse than udis, in fact, i can make a pizza for less with udis at home. 2 bucks extra per topping for the whole pie no matter the size! Stay away from this place. It is almost like they purchase frozen pizzas and charge extra for profit. Nothing will get me to go back or recommend. I will say the establishment was clean and very family friendly but that is not enough.

ok so yes I am really picky with my food these days, and as I get older I get pickier. I am even more pickier with my pizza and italian food. Today we tried a place called Rocco’s. I have to say it was the BEST pizza I have had in over 25 years! Also, the chicken Marsala was AMAZING! I hope they stay in business and stay making it so good! We will definitely be repeat customers. Cant wait to try the chocolate italian ice!!!

I finally found my favorite place for pizza in the area. The pizza is made with the freshest ingredients and cooked to perfection. The dough almost has a sour dough taste which just gives it that extra zip. We got the cheese sticks for an appetizer and it was a large portion and wonderful taste. I will be back for sure!

Awesome pizza place. Been there a few times and have always been impressed. Tried about everything on the menu. Always go with a pizza supreme or just cheese. The calzone is great and the rolls too. The guys there are always easy going and the place is really well run. Recommend highly for pizza in this area for take out.

We came to town to visit some friends and we facades it was a day for pool and Pizza. They recommended this place and wee look it up on Unilocal,it was no disappointment the pizza was very good, ingredients in it tasted fresh and good quality, huge portions. We also had the wings and they were delicious too! Price was right too! If you’re in the area or pass by get you a good New York style Pie.

Great find for pizza in Hernando County; as good as most Jersey joints I remember(the benchmark state for pizza iMO) My son loves the Chicken Roll. Nice owners trying to do it the right way!

I could eat a whole pie alone it’s that addicting!!! In search of NY style pizza while in Florida and stumbled upon Rocco’ s while leaving Target. Rocco ’ s is a take out or dine out Italian pizzeria. Ample dining seating and very courteous wait staff. Our waitress was from Staten Island and shared that several others were from up north. There are paintings and photos of the New York City skyline. We ordered a half pepperoni half sausage pie. When it came out we were amazed by the perfection. The cheese and sauce were just right, the dough and crust were thin and not chewy like much of what you will find in other states. The MEATS!!! The sausage was fine cut and just. …damn good! I usually hate sausage. This pizza was flavorful! I’m unsure what they used but… if you dine anywhere else for pizza, you’re a fool. The prices here are on the money. I’ve never had a pie in NYC for $ 17.99 with quality ingredients and taste.

The food and pizza here are consistantly good. Tonight I had the eggplant parm and it was delicious. My only complaint was too that too much sauce was used. The eggplant was well cooked and the pasta was good. The salad was just a salad, nothing special. The bread was a big disappointment though not crispy like good italian bread, tasted like white bread shaped like a loaf. Overall a good experience and Ill be back.

It’s my birthday and we went tonight after someone recommended them for pizza and I was NOT disappointed. The pizza was great!!! Service was top notch and the cheesecake for dessert hit the spot! We will be back!

As a former New Yorker I’ve had the best pizza in the country. When I tasted the pizza at Rocco’s those food memories came flooding back. This is some of the best pizza I’ve had around here. The crust has the perfect texture and taste — a bit crispy at the edges. The sauce is not sweet but has a tomato and Italian spices combination. Fresh toppings add to the flavor. Try the vegetable pizza with broccoli — to die for!

Only pizza place I’ll go. I have never had bad service or food when I have gone here. They have a great selection with great variety. The Chicken Knot is pure heaven, and so is the Chicken Parm Sandwich. The Stromboli is massive and at a great price. And finally the pizza. I love the pizza the supreme is fantastic not to greasy like other pizza joints, and a plus they have a nice gluten free pizza for those who have a gluten intolerance. This is one restaurant on my list

Hubs and I have gotten pizza here at Rocco’s several times and it has always been great. I do like it better when we eat the pizza there in house because it has a great crispy crust… but when we do a «pick-up» by the time we get home the crust is soft. But it even still it is very delicious!

After reading the reviews, my husband and I made a special trip to Rocco’s. We decided to try a variety of items as well as the pizza to give a fair review. The chicken cutlet pesto sandwich was outstanding, however, the pizza fell a short of that. As a self-proclaimed pizza snob, this is just meh. The crust was ok but even worse there wasn’t a decent selection of beer to wash it down. Sadly, it wasn’t worth the drive but as full as the restaurant was, obviously I stand alone in my pizza aloofness. I gave it three stars because the service was very attentive but the pizza is just average.

Solid great tasting pizza. You can taste NY in their pizza! Antipasto is huge!!! We had pizza and flatbread and meatballs! All were happy. Will come back here!!!
