Super 8 Spring Lake/Ft Bragg

Rude, condescending female clerk working at the front desk. Spoke to me as if I was a child. Needs to learn some manners/​customer service skills. Or better yet, be fired.

Overall crappy experience due to inept and indifferent service. Booked thru
and upon arrival saw they had military rate. When asked to be given mil rate, was asked who we booked through and told had to use their rate. Seems unfair, particularly in a military town. When TV cable went out, they were nice enough to give us a better room, but the next morning when we heard the alarm we set still going off in our old room as we left at 6: 30 a.m., we told the front desk… where 2 employees were aimlessly chatting and they remarked that the cleaning staff would get it. Considering the paper-​thin walls, I’m sure the neighboring guests were elated. The next day it happened again. We found out we had to stay another day and had physically return to the front desk yet again to update the keycard and-​for some reason give them our credit card again. Despite paying for another day and having the Do Not Disturb sign on the door, the maid walked into the room… without knocking, left, and came back 5 minutes later knocking and asking if we weren’t checking out. Obviously no communication there. At least he could have checked with the front before waking us twice. Every time we walked through the lobby Ppl were just standing around talking despite both trashcans out front overflowing. They just don’t seem to care.

Great price. Great location. Close to Fort Bragg but not on the best side of town. The hotel room was a tad dirty but the staff was really nice. Not bad for the price.

A nice and clean Motel where the rates are more than reasonable. They offer some great interior which I sometimes missed in pricy hotels: they have a refrigerator, a microwave, a tiny coffee machine and a hairdryer in every room. Internet is also free!
Mentionable is also that the room service is really sweet: when you check in and come to your room, you will find some sweet art work thy did with the towels. ;) I like this.
Only the price included breakfast (but it’s even nice that they offer one!) is not that rich. They have coffee, tea, juice, cereals, bagels and some pastries but nothing (except of cream cheese) to put on top. Some kind of jam, cheese or ham would be good.
But in total I’m a fan of that Super 8 Motel!

It’s not the Bellagio, but for a cheap hotel it fills its need: cheap, clean, and right outside the Fort Bragg gates. Walmart etc nearby
