4 Incredible words SALTANDPEPPERWINGS ‼ wasn’t even what I order, but once I saw it on the counter I had to grab one ! The crunch was incredible and the flavor was cracklin but surprisingly not overwhelmingly spicy. I’m visiting at my dads house for the week and I quite frankly am gonna have to over night their chicken to the Bay Area for me. That’s how Good they are And the orange chicken I ordered was exactly what I was hoping for tangy and sweet. and the fried egg rice hit the spot. And might I add my food was extremely hot and the recommendation to leave the lid up on the chicken was appreciated to stay crispy. Keep up the good work Chef China.

DELICIOUS! Their salt and pepper wings are to die for good! So tasty and so so crispy… my holy grail! Not to mention their portions are so generous. Have not disappoint us yet. Oh and take-out orders are always well packaged. They actually care about quality and understands the meaning of good customer service! Very refreshing. Thank you!

My boyfriend used to frequently go to this place when the father used to cook and the children used to run the front and he was excited to go back last night after years. Ordered the family meal and was extremely disappointed. They used to have the best broccoli beef but last night it was terrible. Tasted like a full cup of salt was used. The orange chicken texture was strange and the sauce was not good. The chicken chow mein was bland and salty too. The chicken fried rice was below average and oily. We feel like we just took our $ 40 and threw it down the drain. Some younger family members must have taken over the restaurant and have a different cook in the back and it’s awful. Large portions but food was inedible. We will never return. It went from 5 stars to 0.

Excellent food a little bit of wait but well worth it. The rations are huge and the food is always hot. The only thing i dont like is that if you dine in sometimeS some of the tables are not clean. Other than that i recommend it to everyone. Its a hidden jewel in spring valley.

Came here earlier today out of curiosity from my friend’s recommendation. The staff is really nice and caring; The place was around ½ full and they often came around our table frequently with water and extra plates, extra utensils, etc. noticing we needed them w/o us telling them. Service was fast– food started coming in within 2 minutes with the rest quickly following one after the other. Appetizers ranged mostly from $ 3-$ 5 with the main food ranging mostly from $ 6-$ 12. Even if you think that’s expensive, I should add that the portions they give are bigger than pretty much any Chinese/Asian restaurant I’ve been to. Ordered the Egg Drop Soup, Pork BBQ, Shrimp Fried Rice, Cream Creese Wontons, and the Salt&Peppered chicken wings. Unlike all the other Chinese places I’ve been to, all of their food tasted real and authentic, as opposed to the others places where I feel the cooks rely on MSG for taste/flavor. Overall they have great food, service, plentiful parking, and a real relaxing cultural ambiance. I’ll definitely come back when I’m in the area.

Ordered salt and pepper wings for pick up and they were really good, always made to order, and it had all the elements Hubby and I are looking for in Chinese chicken wings. We always order salt and pepper chicken wings whenever we choose Chinese food, and this one is on top of our list so far. They have nice employees also.

My sisters co-worker recommended this place and with all the rave reviews here on Unilocal,my family and I decided to give this place a try. We came in around 7 on a Friday night. They were busy and said there’d be a half hour wait. Whatever, we can wait. Half an hour later, our food still wasn’t ready and half hour turned into almost an hour to get our food. I ordered the mushroom chicken/fried rice combo and a side order of BBQ pork lo mein. I have to say that I was really disappointed that they used canned mushrooms in their food. Disgusting. The lo mein was not good at all. It was slimy and the pieces of pork were almost all fat, no meat. My husband got the Kung pao chicken and he seemed to like it ok. My daughter got orange chicken but she didn’t care for it at all and she loves Chinese food. All in all, we didn’t care for it and won’t be eating there again.

Have been ordering takeout from here for years. The portions are huge, and the food is fantastic! Sweet and Sour chicken is a hit for me, and of course the Salt and Pepper Wings! The people that run the place are the some of the nicest people you can meet. Very professional and go out of their way to make the food the way you want it. The combination plates are the best way to order for me, very good price for the amount and quality of food. You wont be disappointed, and will have lots of leftovers!

I recently discovered this little hidden hole in the wall of a gem, and boy am I pleased!!! I have tried just about every single Chinese food restaurant in San Diego(it’s my fav!!!) and this one is #1. No more searching necessary. The neighborhood is questionable as hell, but that doesn’t mean I can’t order to go! I am obsessed with their salt and pepper wings! They are to die for. I also love their entrees, including the kung pao chicken, pork fried rice, shrimp chow mien and egg rolls! I want to try everything on their menu! There’s no way they can disappoint after what I have had there! Mmmmmm, my mouth is watering as i am writing this! Try it out, you can thank me later!

Great service, horrible food. I ordered Mongolian beef and house fried rice. Mongolian beef was slimy and disgusting. The house fried rice(which is supposed to have shrimp, chicken, and beef) barely had any of the 3 in it. I barely had soy sauce in it! It literally tasted like eggs and rice with a tiny hint of meat in it. This isn’t the first time this has happened. But since this place is so close to my house and all other competition is rated lower I figured the last time was just an isolated incident. Nope! This is apparently their norm and I will not be back.

Geez louise, those Salt and pepper chicken wings were good. Probably the best I’ve had in san diego. And for those that like the shrimp with the shell on please try their Salt and pepper shrimp. The beef with broccoli was so fresh vegetables were still green and crunchy. the house special lo mein looked different from the other places but did not lack in taste at all. Probably my go to chinese spot from now on

Great service and such good food. We absolutely love this place. What we order for our family of 4: Cashew Chicken, no mushrooms, no celery. Pork Lo Mein Salt and pepper wings. We always have leftovers, too. Consistently delish food. Family owned and all friendly people!

So happy I found a decent chinese restaurant close to my house, I use to live in IB and my place was about 5 mins down the street. I would travel from La Mesa just to go there, but to have a place closer to me within 10 mins instead of 20+ mins to my place near IB is way better. I love that you can order the salt & pepper wings at different spice levels from 1 – 10, I’m a fan of hot. The egg rolls are delivious as well. And the fried rice with green onions was pretty good. I’ve had better fried rice in San Diego though. Definite must try.

I ordered some take from this place on the first day of the Lunar Year. I ordered the combo plate with Kung Pao Chicken, Pork Fried Rice, and an egg roll. I told the very nice Chinese girl that I want a very light sauce on my Kung Pao, but that was not to be so. The Kung Pao came swimming in its sauce, and it was sweeter than it should of been. However, on a good note, they do give you a lot of food. They added lots of peanuts with a good amount of tender chicken, and a crunchy vegetable, which I think was chestnuts. Was happy with that, but the the sauce was just to much and there was not heat in this Kung Pao. The pork fried was good and they give you a lot. The rice was well seasoned and cooked with bits of tender pieces of pork here and there. The rice could of used a little more chopped vegetables, especially the scallions, which I am very fond of in a good pork fried rice. Good pork fried rice. The Egg Roll was a mess. It was way to soft and the inside was nothing but mushy vegetables. I threw it out after one bite. I hope next time they listen to my request of light sauce and fry up a fresh egg roll.
