Best Greek Chicken Salad !!! Actually the only one Greek salad i’ve ever had. I was told i’m missing out if I don’t try the Greek chicken salad from Grecian Café. So, on May 18th, after work, I was beyond hungry and really just wanted a salad. I figured I would give this place a try. I called and placed an order for my dinner, and was told it would be ready in 20 mins. I thought that was long but dealt with it. After standing in line for 5 mins. I paid and received my order. This salad was the BEST salad ever!!! The chicken was tender and juicy, seasoned to perfection. I’ve been wanting it everyday since. This will definitely be my go to place for Greek Chicken Salad. It also came with pita bread and that too was delicious. Needless to say I’M A FAN. Only thing lacking is customer service, it could use some work. I heard no thank you or bye when I placed my order. Therefore, I called back to make sure it was taken.

This place has been in business for as long as I could remember and has a very warm ambiance, the elderly owners are very kind and the food is always fresh, yes you wait for it but right when you order you always hear your food hit the grill right away which ensures me that I’m getting fresh food! I’ve been coming here with my family for years and the prices to me have always remained the same, you could easily feed each person for around $ 8 – 12. Most of the reviews are about the wait but for me I like to know I’m getting the quality I want! Great décor great food great pricing! When I’m in the mood for Greek this is where I always end up :)

I took my daughter to the Grecian Café on Friday Night we were immediately welcomed. The salad was fresh and delicious and the gyros were excellent. We are planning a trip back with the rest of the family.

I had lived in Casa De Oro for over 12 years… I have been to this place a few times I train at UFC gym and after working out one day I wanted a grilled chicken salad I walk in the door order and wait 25 minutes for a salad to go, now yes this had happened to me one time before when I phoned in an order they told me I’d be a 10 minute wait I show up 30 minutes later and it was still not ready… BUT with those two visits aside everytime ingo in the younger woman [Maybe 40] working is ALWAYS a B****. NOW I then thought maybe it was just the way she treated me but after reading some of the reviews on here and speaking to some of the people in Casa De Oro I have learned that that is just her nature but with that being said the old man who I believe is the owner who is always cooking and the older woman that work there used to be very sweet or at least have some type of customer service compared to the evil witch that they have at the counter unfortunately I went in there a week ago and had a very similar issue. I walk into their establishment as I’m walking in the older lady is outside cleaning the windows whom I assume is the owner the older man is on the grill and the evil which is at the counter… I woke up and I have a question in regards to the price of their salad and sizes she gets flustered with me says that it’s on the menu turns around and says I need to wait because she’s bagging an order at that moment I said nevermind don’t worry about it it is totally fine and I walked out as I was walking out it stopped and mention to the older lady that I was very dissatisfied with the customer service of the woman at the counter and that she was and I quote«a complete b****»!” At that point I informed her that I am going to be writing a Unilocal review in regards to my experience she asked me not to but I told her I had to at that point the old man comes running from the back all the way outside to by where I was parked in the front of their establishment and yelled at me that his worker was very very nice to me and respectful not even knowing what the woman and I were speaking about I then looked at the woman and let her know I am on my way home to write a Unilocal review right then… She yelled«NO!don’t do that!» I said«I have to go.» and walked to my car. Moral of the story is sometimes it’s not what you say it’s how you say things and it was not just a one-time thing at this establishment I do not recommend anyone putting themselves through this type of treatment for their food I mean honestly if their food was delicious then I’d say if you don’t mind having horrible customer service it may be worth going for the delicious food but that’s not even the case in this situation just if I could give it negative Stars know that I would

We have always drove by this restaurant but never had the craving for Greek food. Until one night my boyfriend mentioned Grecian Café. We ordered to-go, he got the Chicken Kabob plate and I got the Combo plate with Gyro and Chicken Kabob. They both came with salad, pita bread, some bomb tzatziki sauce and rice. They are very generous with their portion. I had leftover for lunch the following day. This is my new go to Greek spot. The food is so good and well worth the money!

Giving this place 5 stars because this is first and only Greek place Ive tried. I have all my coworkers coming here for lunch now too. Weve all had the Gyro plate and Greek Chicken Salad. The gyro plate comes with gyro meat, a small salad, pita bread, taziki sauce and rice. The rice is good but I prefer a side of fries instead. The chicken salad is our favorite now. It has delicious marinated chicken on top of their greek salad. It comes with a vinaigrette dressing, taziki sauce and pita bread. Not bad for $ 9. The portion is huge. We normally call our order in and it still takes about 30 minutes to be ready. Worth the wait though.

Food is good but holy moly… wait is forever! I called in an order to go, they said 25 – 30 minutes. I got there after 40 minutes and waited another 20 minutes! WTH! Never again…

Every time I come back into town, I always make a stop for a chicken and gyro salad. The portions are huge and their salad dressing is amazing! I understand people being unhappy about the wait, you do wait but it’s worth it for the quality and great food you get! I really can’t see giving their food anything less than a 5 star rating.

Greek chicken salad is my favorite. I also love the sauce and the pita. My only complaint is the food is never ready even when I call ahead of time. Add more staffing but the food is worth the wait.

Best food in the area and the Greek chicken salad is my favorite. They can be fairly slow preparing for dine in or take out so if your not in a hurry and patient it’s well worth it. Portions and price are very good. If the service was faster it would get 5 stars.

My husband and I decided to try this Greek restaurant. The kitchen was very understaffed so the wait was very long. We ordered hummus and pita as an appetizer. After almost a 10 minute wait, I approached the counter to ask for our appetizer. After being told they were busy, I continued to wait. The hummus was very bland and runny. The amount of hummus received(about 1 cup) exceeded the amount of pita bread served(6 slices). Our meal came with side Greek salads. I was very disappointed. My salad looked very tasty but it was drenched in vinaigrette dressing. So much that every piece of lettuce and vegetable dripped when I tried to bite it. I ended up leaving most of it. What saved this restaurant from getting 2 stars was the rotisserie chicken. It was very savory and so was the rice. The portion was big and I had to get a to go box. Overall, unfortunately I don’t see myself returning to this establishment.

Been going here for years! Love the chicken Greek salad and gyros! Sometimes it does take a long time to make since it made from scratch or because they are busy so I sometimes call in my order when I’m in a hurry but it is definitely worth it!

So, on Friday night we order food from this restaurant for pick up. They told us 30 Minutes and we got there’s about 35 minutes after we called. They had not even started our order. We watched a couple people who had been waiting leave, without their food, out of frustration. There was one table of people eating and 3 other people waiting for to-go orders, so it didn’t look particularly busy. We got no apology for the fact that our food wasn’t started and no approximate time it would be ready, we were simply told to sit and wait. After about 20 more minutes I got up and stood by the counter, when asked what I wanted I said that I just wanted to express that I was starting to get angry. I said it pretty casually, considering. She laughed and walked away and proceeded to speak another language with the other woman. That’s when I decided to write the review. When we were finally given our food there was no apology for the wait and when I asked that we please go through and check that everything was there because I didn’t want to have to come back they actually acted a bit offended and said they had checked it themselves. When i did take it to a table and check, It was all there and I packed it back up to leave, when I waved to let them know all was good I got a smug smirk from the older woman. The food was ok, but not good enough to risk repeating this ridiculous experience. Even the other patrons were commiserating. Never again.

I have searched the entire Sobay for a decent lunch time salad. Nothing note worthy yet. Fortunately i have my go to greek chicken salad in Casa de Oro. At the Grecian Café. Like other reviewers I’ve been less than thrilled with their service. From straight out hostile vibes to blowing off my phone orders… but over the years I have forgiven because I love their salad! AND Customer service seems to have improved over the last year…

This place doesnt get the fanfare it deserves. The portions are huge, the food is delicious, and the price is right. Most recently I had a chicken kabob combo plate which was enough for two people, and came with a huge fresh salad. The customer service isnt bad, not great but adequate maybe because of language barriers or cultural differences. The restaurant itself isnt much to look at but don’t judge a book by its cover, this place is a great hole in the wall and hidden gem in casa de oro.

I lived 2 miles from the Grecian Café for years we would have the chicken salad at least once a week. After I moved away we would drive 7 miles just for that fabulous chicken salad, it’s my favorite!!! Although I’ve never had a dish I didn’t like we keep going back for that salad. All the dishes are flavorful seasoned to perfection. The pita bread is warmed and the tzatziki sauce is house made and delicious as well as the RICE oh don’t forget to order the rice!!! I call ahead and by the time I get to the Café it’s hot and ready. The service is wonderful always friendly… I only had bad service one time I’ve never seen her since she reminded me of the soup nazi.

We have eaten here on numerous occasions over many years, overall it’s been acceptable. But today will be the last day. Like so many other complaints we ordered take out and were told it would be 20 minutes. I waited 30 minutes and when I arrived they just started making the burger and fries. What the heck??? When I got home the fires were horribley undercooked, the fish was dry and salty. The salad was mainly iceberg with no flavor. You guys have gone downhill and in sincere reality I don’t think you care.

YUM! chicken plate is awesome. it comes with so much food and the rice is really good. I love the taste of the pita bread but I’m normally too full to eat the salad. my boyfriend says it’s good though! everyone saying the woman looks like a witch are kinda spot on… but she’s friendly! yet another conveniently located place that serves good food. I’ll certainly miss this place when we move :(

It has been almost 4 years since I eaten here. Stopped by for lunch. Got the basic #1 lunch combo(11 to 2 pm), a gyro sandwich with salad(or fries) and a drink. The quantity and quality of food was great for the the price I paid(about 9 $). 2 people were working there, A husband and wife I believe so picking items that needs some preparation might take longer. My food was served fairly quick but I had to share a table with another coustemer because other tables were either filled with people or old plates. But to be fair, tables were cleaned once they served all with food.

Dirty dirty dirty … Did I say dirty? First and foremost, it took 30 minutes for 2 gyro salads. I wouldve understood IF we were not the only customers in the shop. Then I went to wash my hands and the bathroom was gross and old too!!! Grrrrrr. So, we sit down at the table and then I notice bits of dried food on the dispensers and table. Ok so after all this filth, I shouldnt have eaten the food but I didnt eat all day and I was starving. Once the salad arrived, I just ate the lamb/gyro meat so I will give the lamb 2 stars. The lady was also nice. Baklava was pure sugar and diabetes waiting to happen.

I love their Greek chicken salad! I grew up in the area, and I have coming to this place since I was in middle school or before. I don’t live in the area anymore, and its been awhile. I’m glad I came back :) The chicken salad is definitely my favorite entrée here, I’ll include a picture, but other entrées are good as well. The place is small, not much of a ambiance but nice like a little diner. If your in the area its worth checking out! Happy eating :)

I wouldn’t give this place any star. We went in and the Guy who seemed like a waiter just looked at us and kept talking to another Guy there. As we were sitting down, the Guy went to the back. While we were waiting for someone to come and take the order, I noticed that the place was a mess. On the table next to us, flies were hovering on top of the plates that the customer had left. They didn’t bother to clean up because when we came, there was nobody but us. So we got the message and we left. One advice, don’t go there unless you like bad customer services.

I love this place. Been many times for take-out on my lunch break. I think they have the BEST falafel and spanakopita. The falafel is firm and crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. You can taste all the spices but they dont overwhelm you(ive had some at other places like that). And the spanakopita is sooo good, not too much spinach, not too much cheese. I’ve also had some of those where it seems they left out the cheese! All of it is just good and tasty, gyro, rice, pita, tzatziki, all of it. I dont mind the«lack of talkative-ness». In fact it seems most mom-pop places Ive been to seem to just go about their daily stuff. But the lady did perk up and talk to me when I mentioned its my favorite place for the falafel and spanakopita. I will be back again and again.

I had a pretty good grilled chicken salad with a side of sliced pita bread for $ 8.99. This place has been around for a while now, and I use to eat here in the past before I was a Unilocaler. I’ve heard it has declined over the years with the quality of food and service. So, I came here to see and experience it for my self. The chicken on the salad tasted good and remained moist. It cold of used more color in the way of searing and a bit of more Greek seasoning. The salad was rather large,( ) but as I dug in and got past some of he chicken, I realized that the chicken was sitting of pile of romaine lettuce. There was a lot of it but at least it was fresh. The tomatoes and cucumbers were good and so was the Greek dressing. They were, however a little heavy handed on the dressing because when I finished my salad, there was a pool on my plate. The pita slices with the yogurt sauce was very good.( ) It came with the salad with no extra charge. The service was okay. The ladies that work here are not much for conversation, but that might be a cultural thing. I noticed they were speaking Chaldean, not Greek. To be honest, the food was good, but not as good as I remember. My immediate impression is that attention to detail has diminished over the years.
