So guess what people… it closed down… lol … its officially just a taco shop now.# cotijas… Its sad because the new owner just got scammed into buying a bad location… over crowded taco shop area and possibly a cursed ground… its just a hunch but if this new place closes down within a year than its time to bulldoze that building and build a taco bell… i gave 3 stars because they finally shut down that eye sore down…

This is my go to spot for quick and inexpensive Mexican food. The customer service is always excellent, they are open 24 hours and it’s so close, I can get there and back home in 15 min. They have specials almost every day of the week. My usual is the carne asada bowl for $ 5 ~ beans, rice, lettuce carne, guac & pico. They use a styrofoam container, the portion size can be a little inconsistent but it’s plenty filling. My son loves the California burrito. It took me a couple trips to figure out how to enter and exit their awkward location without violating any traffic laws. I think ~ lol!

I find myself coming here more and more for their taco deals. Tonight we had the .99 street tacos! Yummy! I’ve also had their chicken tacos and they were great also! And the carne asada breakfast burrito! It’s all good! I still haven’t tried the wings or the chicken and waffles, but that’s next :)

I don’t us ally write reviews for taco shops but this one. This place was absolutely amazing. They have wings as well, wich is weird for a taco shop. Let me tell you about the wings they were absolutely amazing. The burrito was really really good. There are other alternatives to this area but I’d rather come here rather than those other places. It’s nice and clean. An added bonus the owner works here as well and he’s really cool. He really does care about the quality of his food.

Brand new spot to the area! Our first three times visiting, we had our go-to carne asada chips. They were amazing! Loaded and lethal with delicious refried beans. Now, I’m 100% Hispanic so I know the difference between fresh refried beans and canned refried beans(after hitting the can, you can tell the difference too). Last time we went for the carne asada chips it looked like someone literally scooped out the remainder of the canned beans and flopped em on the side of the chips. Bummed out man. It’s a bit too soon for a new business to be resorting to canned food. But at least there’s a few other taco shops to choose from in the area…

I seriously had high hopes for this place because the way it was remodeled and the awesome new look. Wow. Still can’t believe the disappointment. Ok so this place sits in a pretty bad spot because it’s not easy to get to. On the outside it says Atomics Wings but the window had a sign for Taco Tuesday $ 0.99 cent tacos. I walked in know they were street tacos. What I wasn’t expecting was the poor quality and bland taste. To me the tortillas is what makes a taco, if the ownership or management reads this please make your tortillas fresh. It will save you on cost and increase the quality of the stale, cold tortillas. Now for the meat. I ordered Carne Asada and Adobada tacos to taste and the amount of meat was disappointing. I know it was only $ 1 so I did not spend much but I sure hope that’s not the amount of meat on the regular $ 2.25 priced street tacos. The meat was dry and had no seasoning. Pretty poor. I will go back in a month or two but to be honest this place will either be bankrupt by then or out of business. I hope not but if they don’t change soon it’s a huge possibility.

Whoever said that this place is better than Saritas Taco Shop down the street couldn’t have been in their right mind. Service is SLOW. Salsa sucks. Food has ZERO flavor. Not the worst taco shop, but seriously has a long way to go… only reason I gave it one star, staff is friendly AND because it’s down the street from Saritas. Leaving this place and on my way to Saritas for some real food.

I went in there and ordered the California burrito, which was a really good size as shown in the pictures The California Burrito was really good, and I especially liked the green salsa, it had a distinct lime flavor which I love on my burritos! I also ordered the wings, and WOW. The Wings were SOOOOO good. The mexican food was good, but next time I go there I am going to get ALL wings. I left 3 hours ago and I already want to go back and get some wings. I got the chipotle bbq, and the buffalo. There chicken wings are full of meat, and doused in sauce — such an enjoyable experience, I highly recommend Somos Tacos/Atomic Wings. I will be back!

I love this taco shop! I can’t believe people still rave about Saritas after all of their changes, clearly they haven’t ventured to Somos Tacos yet… Somos has fresh ingredients and quality meat(which is now lacking at Saritas). The staff is happy and helpful, I’ve seen them patiently help an elderly group of men and women who asked about almost every item on the menu. While some would huff and/or roll their eyes, the cashier happily answered all their questions with a smile. The only downsides to this place would be the wait time, which isn’t too much longer than some local mexican restaurants, it’s still a little timely. I’ve never worked in a kitchen or restaurant, so I am not sure if this is an organizational thing or what. Also you can only turn left out of the parking lot… It would be nice if they could get an easement into the Round Table parking lot or something?

What a great new taco and wing place! I had lunch there today and couldn’t have been happier. The owners, Somo and Fad are usually there and make sure you’re always happy. Go and visit. Tell them Rod sent you.

FYI: this is basically a taco shop even though I(like many others) thought it was a wing joint. This place does have a huge«atomic wings» sign on the outside, which is a bit weird considering they don’t yet have wings. Asked the owner about this & he mentioned they will have wings on the menu January 2015– we will see. Went in & ordered their Surf & Turf burrito along with California burrito. Note– I had to add sour cream(.50 cents) bc it doesn’t come included– although I haven’t heard of any cali burrito not having it. Hmmm, anyways. California burrito: . Seriously– this thing was really really good. I think it’s a runner up after Saritas Cali burrito. The meat was good, the fries were thin and crispy, the cheese was nice and melted. Overall I would go back for this alone. Suft and Turf: awesome. I’m not sure if they were just in a good mood but man, they stuffed this burrito like there was no tomorrow. Compared to many other taco shops that get stingy with their shrimp, these people were quite generous! It seemed every bite had shrimp. Their salsas were decent. I liked their carrots in vinegar(chiles/zanahoria en vinagre). This review is based on burritos alone. Their tacos seemed overpriced for what they are so I’m not sure i would order those. I’m curious to see how their wings turn out, so i will definitely be back in January to try those out. And No, I did not have two burritos, I did share.

So my sister and I cruise in to give the new local spot a try… The sign that draws us in says ATOMICWINGS. Guess what though? No wings bruh. Not even on the menu. Surprise surprise this place is a taco shop! So we ordered 5 supreme rolled tacos with rice and beans and the total came to $ 9.78. Rolled Tacos= $ 5.24 Rice and Beans= $ 1.95 Somehow totals: $ 9.78 After asking to have the order rang up again… The caahier got my total correct(obviously new and untrained because half of once sentence was towards me and the other half towards whomever was training her and not paying attention). After questioning the cashier(trainee) and guy training her… They played it off like the total was for a previous order… Even though the words NINESEVENTYEIGHT came out of her mouth. I didn’t appreciate the mistake but was understanding… But then after being lied to became pretty pissed off. The rolled tacos made me wish I had gone to La Posta or Sarita’s. Chuncks of lettuce fit for a salad, bland guac, rolled tacos with hardly any meat in them, beans that look like it had spit in them, etc… Yikes. Met the owner… He explained that all beers were $ 3.50. For a 12 oz beer that isn’t bad but then I look and see Sculpin! Got excited but then saw Coors light next to it. Sculpin = $ 16 – 20 per 6 pack. Coors = $ 6 – 7 per 6 pack. That discouraged me from buying either. Doesn’t make any sense. The hot sauce is damn gooooood!!! They got that down! Unfortunately the hot sauce bar has a cover that sits very low and makes it difficult to get hot sauce without touching stuff customer hands shouldn’t be touching. A bit unsanitary. I’ll be back in 30 days to note improvements. Hopefully this place gets it together because they are on the wrong street to expect longevity in business if they continue to operate in this manner.

New spot on taco shop row in the hot bed of Casa de Oro. Located where the old Silva’s shop used to reside and still a pain in the ass locale, because it’s placed at the head of an intersection coming east on the 94 and you can only access the drive ways coming north or by illegally crossing over solid yellow lines. Unfortunately if you are like me and were drawn in by the giant Atomic Wings sign on the façade, the restaurant will not be serving fowl for at least a month. Always read the fine print children! With a shoulder shrug and a sigh, I conceded to the Surf and Turf Burrito and added Guacamole. Comparing to my own gold standards of JV’s and Lucha Libre, I can only call this fair. Same price as the aforementioned other joints but with less flavorful carne and sauces. Sarita’s remains on top for quality in the local vicinity. Will return in a month to(fingers crossed) review the wings.

I was geeked to try this place because I pass by the building regularly & have been awaiting their grand opening. I went yesterday on its opening day. The parking lot was almost full. Good sign or so i thought. I trailed in the restaurant behind two older women. First thing I heard the guy taking the order say was«Sorry, there won’t be any wings until January or February». I was perturbed so I did an about face & hit the door. How are you going to have a restaurant called ATOMICWINGS& not have any on opening day??? That will really satisfy your customers– not! Sounds like the should have waited until after the beginning of the year to open. You need wings to run a wing joint or else customers will fly the coop! BAWKBAWK!

This is an interesting new place where the old Silvia’s Mexican Restaurant use to be located. Interesting in that they are going to share two indentities, «Somos Tacos» and«Atomic Wings» from the East Coast. Given my visit coincided with their first day of business, they were not ready nor did they have Wings yet, so I ordered a Surf and Turf Burrito from the Somos Tacos Menu( ). Now I know it was their first day, so I reserved patience wen they did not have the chipotle sauce the burrito was suppose to come with and cheese they just forgot to put in. After, I made a note of it, they gave me a small bit of cheese in a small container( ). On a good note, the burrito was huge( ). The burrito’s carne asada was quite good with nice flavor and properly seasoned and cooked. It had mix of tender and crispy pieces with a mild charred smokiness flavor which tasted good with their red hot sauce( ). The shrimp was good, but a little on the bland side. It needed seasoning or perhaps prepared in a garlic and butter sauce would be great( ). The rice was most prominent and was very good with a mild tomato flavor and loose and fluffy. The pico de gallo was a little dry and not a lot of it. One things this burrito needed was that chipotle sauce because it was a little dry all the way through, and I also recommend they include guacamole in the burrito as well. I tried both hot sauce and they were both very good. I liked the green one the best because it had a bit of sourness to it. The place is still underway indeed. The dinning room still in need of decorations and such( ), and they missing of ingredients and the wings a biggie, but I am sure in the near future they will iron those kinks out. I will return in about 30 days or sooner to see if Atomic Wings is ready to roll. PS.working on getting a phone number.
