La Baguette d’Or

I’m not really sure what’s been going on with this establishment lately but the quality has definitely been slipping. I had some Haitian cake and patties from here today and they were not good at all. The patties were hard and appeared over cooked and the cake was so dry.

The patties here are pretty good, I will admit that, but as a business, their customer service is mediocre. Twice, I have placed orders for more than a dozen of patties and both times, there was a problem. I had once placed my order and paid in full 24 hours in advance. When I went to pick up the patties, they weren’t even ready. They beat around the bush to tell me that they weren’t ready and that they were going to make them at that moment. What was the point of me placing the order in advance if they weren’t even going to be ready? They told me it would be done in about 20 minutes. Almost an hour later they give me patties and they didn’t even give me everything that I ordered and paid for, so they had to substitute some. The worse part is that is was like they didn’t even care. People make mistakes and things happen yes, but not having good customer service or not acting like you care, is a different story. If I want a couple of patties, I’ll come here, but I WILL NOT place orders with this business again.
