Best place for a cold or fruity snack! Recommend it to everyone you can’t go wrong here, and very affordable. Wish there was one closer to Tomball

Live their explosion de mango. I’ve been looking for a good fresh fruit dessert with chile and this place is close to home!

This place takes me back to all of my summers in Mexico. Their fruit and food is so fresh and delicious. Their troles are like biting into a fruit. Love this place!

It’s always busy, especially on the weekends. I’ve never tried the actual food, but I always get a different flavor of troles so I can try a little bit each time. They also let you sample some flavors, and all the employees are very nice. They speak mostly Spanish, but they’ll understand what you want :). It takes a little while for your order to come out if it’s not busy. We waited 30 minutes for our orders on a busy day. But since it’s so cheap, it’s totally worth the wait! And it doesn’t melt as fast as ice cream does. You can also put two flavors in one cup. By the way, the blue trole is vanilla flavor!

OMG! Where do I start? Every time I walk into this place I’m taken back to the AUTHENTIC refresquerias in Mexico. I tend to have lunch and dessert each time I visit. The tortas(ALLOFTHEM), chicharron con cueritos, and tostada de tinga are to die for. Warning… The salsas are S-P-I-C-Y, but if you are an authentic Mexican foodie like me, the spice level will be right up your ally. For sweets, I enjoy the bionico, the mangonadas, troles, and banana splits. They have recently added the piña preparada to their menu which is also delish! On days that I’m putting in clean things into my body, I stick to the natural sugar free juices made in house.

They have the best mangonada trole in the area. Great snacks, employees are nice, and there is hardly ever a wait at this location. Wish they had lemonade at this one(they always do at the Antoine/Veterans Memorial location) though.

Brought my BFF here to try out some of my culture’s delights. We usually go out for dessert to her neck of the woods(Bellaire– Asian desserts) but she is prego, with limitations on her driving, and was craving something unexplained but sweet so we came here! She absolutely loved it as much as I do! Their mangonada was out of this world(better than the one on Veterans) and the locations is perfect! Clean, nicer area, and outside sitting when it’s lovely outside. This place is very affordable and have a variety of foods and desserts! Forget fro-yo, try El Kiosko!

Ok, now that I’ve found the right flavor to get, I have fallen in love with this place. Mangonada is all that you need to know about this place! Such an awesome flavor! A combo of mango, lime, and chamoy for that extra spicy kick. Where have you been all my life? I’m ashamed of the 3-stars I gave them last year. Everyone working there was very friendly and helpful too. Clean store inside. Cheap. And most importantly, delicious!

I love this place! Great service, as cheap as it gets, and tons of other options aside from just Ice Cream. It is also very clean inside, spotless. This is a nice snack shop, with everything from Ice Cream to Mexican Corn in a Cup. We take in our daughter for the ice cream. I took the time to ask and their ice cream and sorbets are made at another location(they have 3) and sent to them. So not exactly made in store but the ice cream tastes fresh, like it hasn’t been sitting in the freezer for a couple of months. I usually go for a fresh juice or a licuado(fruit smoothie). They have about 6 or 7 fresh juice options that they make on the spot for you. Carrots, beats, oranges, celery are just some of the veggies/fruits that are included in the juices. When I am hungry I’ll usually go for the Licuados. Don’t know exactly what goes in them but the consistency is not like your typical smoothie. They are pretty thick and will fill you up as if you had a meal. They also serve sliced up fruit topped with either chile, lime or yogurt. I usually go for the Bionico which contains mango, strawberries, bannanas, and papaya topped with their yogurt sauce, coconut, and granola. Very good and again you can make a meal out of this. They also serve Mexican Tortas and other light meal options. Tortas are pretty good, toasted mexican bun smeared with refried beans and crema then loaded with ham, cheese, aguacate, and some veggies. The only downside is that it’s a little small, gets pretty crowded on the weekends so if you want to sit down and eat make sure to go on their slower days/hours.

The menu was a bit overwhelming and a little confusing. Was expecting just an ice cream shop, but found they also serve corn, hot Cheetos, and tortas. The ice cream and sorbet selection was okay. I guess the most disappointing part was standing around and not have anyone even acknowledge your presence. In a small store, even if you are helping another customer, it doesn’t take too much effort to say hello or I’ll be right with you.

mmmmmm goood! I was so happy to find a fruit place that has salt/lime/chili in North Houston! Can’t go wrong with the fruit cup(container is what it is!!) with the chili. The chili sauce was different than I’m used to but still pretty good. I usually prefer powder but I’m just glad I found a place that sells this stuff so I can’t complain too much! The corn cup is just okay. I prefer the Mexican cojita cheese as opposed to parmesean cheese. Maybe they will change it one day… crossing fingers!

Mmmmmmmmmmmm… I think it’s love… well close to it. Thanks, cousin, for introducing me to this even though there has always been one by my house but never attempted to try it. So many sizes of cups to choose from so it fits every budget. I got 3 flavored sorbets(mango nada, pineapple, and tamarind) and asked them to sprinkle the chili powder on top. Such a generous portion for $ 2.75 but my fat butt ended up eating it all suprisingly. Very refreshing… must try it! Avoid the guava though… heard there’s seeds in it.

What a find! Best sorbet I’ve ever had! Sampled the coconut, mango and watermelon sorbet. All three were terrific. Ended up getting a mango coconut combo. $ 3.25+tax with generous portion. Very happy I stumbled across this place. Too bad it’s so far from home. Highly recommended.

El Kiosko Frutas Y Helados What a refreshing treat! If you guys like that salt and chili flavor, do try it with shaved ice. What you get is a cup of shaved ice with the Mexican Tamarind Candy paste/syrup inserted in the middle. Gives each spoonful a great«what the heck… but I liked» feeling. Yep! My friends and I found a new sweet spot! We shall be back.
