It was our first visit to Jax. Oh my goodness, we will be back! We both had the Baha burger. I could not believe how big their burgers were. They were juicy & thick and had a great flavor. The staff was very attentive and professional. The manger even came by our table to make sure everything was to our liking. I told him it was our first visit and he said he hoped they made us returning customers. I told him absolutely we would be back and that my husband didn’t want to come but after eating their burger he loved it and would be a returning customer! This owner will be also opening one soon in the Cinco Ranch area.

This place was just OKAY. I am giving them 3 stars instead of 4 because of the following reasons. Pros– Seasoned and well cooked patty Generous with their avocados! Cons– Dry/Commercial Bun — This Bun reminded me of a smushy McDonald’s bun. It was dry and not up to par. I really think they should invest in better buns, maybe even making their own buns. The patty was awesome, but to stick it between two bland buns was a poor decision. Garlic/Fries– I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE garlic– especially garlic fries! I was excited to taste the fries but, they were not good. The fries were soggy and it looked like they literally sprinkled minced garlic and that was it.

The first time I tried this joint, I was out with a buddy and was a bit distracted from the food. I wanted to at least give this place another shot. Sadly, after returning yesterday, I remember JAX as just unremembered to me. Perhaps with all the burger places out there, this place just doesn’t give me an umphf that screams original. Food: I had the BBQ burger which came with BBQ sauce, an union ring, lettuce, and mustard. To me the mustard was way out of place and who does a bbq burger w/o bacon? Overall, the winning factor of this burger was the size. Typically burger joints like to get away with small patties, this wasn’t the case at JAX. I also had the garlic fries and they were just kinda meh. With the amount of minced garlic on top, you’d think they’d taste more garlicy. I did enjoy that the fries stayed crunchy. Service: The guy working the counter took our order and kept it moving. Food came out quick and hot. Nothing about the food at JAX is surprising, but its homestyle burger if you need one.

This place has great food and great service. The quality of the food they serve is excellent. I came with my extended family and we all ordered something different. We ALL enjoyed our food! We will be making this a regular spot.

It was my first time. The food looked and smelled great, and tasted good. The selection of regular, jalapeño, and sriracha ketchups actually made my day. But…there was hair in my burger. One outside the burger just hanging out, and I figured it might be mine(though I’m auburn haired and it was blonde). So I removed it and dug in. Then there was another long blonde hair in the burger itself. And that was it. I can’t go back to this location. I’m sure it’s delicious but I just can’t. I might puke.

Visited this burger place for the first time and I have to say it’s one of the best tasting burgers I have ever had. I ordered the BBQ burger with bacon added and some sweet potato fries as well. The meat of the burger had a great flavor and the bacon was nice and crispy just how I like it. The burger included onion rings in it is with a mild BBQ sauce that gave it that extra kick. The fries were delicious and were crispy on the outside and soft and hot in the inside. The price is a bit high but it is well worth it because of the large size of the burger trust me when I say that you will not leave hungry. I will definitely be returning again soon!

Been here several times, but this was not good. Spent $ 30 for 2 burgers, 2 shakes and a side. The Texas burger was a mess, over flowing with chill. Couldn’t even be eaten as a burger. The chili cheese fries were canned chili and cheese. The shakes weren’t even creamy.

This was my first time at JAX& I must say it was great! I had the JAX Cheeseburger & I added bacon, the Garlic French Fries & Vanilla Shake! The burger was huge, had lots of flavor and was really good! The Garlic French Fries were awesome!!! They tasted really good & the garlic wasn’t overwhelming ! The Vanilla shake was really rich and creamy & tasted just like Blue Homemade Vanilla Ice cream! Overall JAX food was excellent & I definitely will be returning soon!

The fries were tasty but not great texture. The burger was one of the worst I’ve had. Patty is too thick, and nothing about it really stands out. It is just a big slab of meat. Neither my boyfriend nor I enjoyed the meal.

One of the best burger places on 2920. All burgers are juicy and flavorful. If you’re not a big eater I suggest the Lil Jax. Milkshake are not the best by my tastes but my kids enjoy them

Customer service — 5 stars, very friendly Burger — 5 stars, wow amazing Fries — 3 stars, nothing special location — 5 stars the one on 2920 in Spring has outdoor seating Price — 3 stars, it is pretty expensive for burger and fries, Worth the extra cost but you don’t feel like you are getting a great deal.

I love Jax! Burgers are always HOT and Fresh. I love that they offer Cajun fries and jalapeño ketchup when you dine in. Everything is a la carte, unless you are getting a kids meal. Burgers cost about $ 8 or less and fries $ 3 or less. So not too bad, if you want a nice burger. I can go to whataburger and spend $ 9 on drive thru so I might as well enjoy feeling like I’ve had the real thing for a few bucks more(no jab on whataburger … I love them too. Lol) Overall, it’s a great burger that is very filling, reasonably priced and service is quick! Definitely a must try if you’re in the area!

Super disappointed. I took a friend with cancer that has since passed, on our way home back from our trip down for her last appt to MD Anderson. HTX is my hometown & I know a number of good places to get a good burger but went out of my way to try this place bc I heard the owner was someone I once knew a long time ago. Service was mediocre and then our order was wrong. We were on the road and it’s a 12 hr drive back so it was really sad we didn’t even get what we ordered. I was very specific on what she needed and they still messed it up. I didn’t care ab mind as much as long as it would have tasted good but it was pretty greasy and not in a good way. Yuck. What a let down. :(

Long story short: I used to love this place. My boyfriend and I used to go here quite a lot. And then came a day where during the night after I ate Jax for dinner I started to feel really sick and started puking my guts out. I got food poisoning and I refused to eat another burger since. That’s the story of how I became vegetarian. Thank u for tainting my body

I can write a book about this place but I’m going to keep it short and sweet! It is a Must Go Restaraunt! It can be a little pricy but it is WELL worth the money! I had the Guacamole Burger with Bacon and Words can’t explain how good that burger was

Restaurant is clean, the staff is friendly and customer service focused. The burgers are thick, hand made and juicy. The fries were awful, I got the Cajun fries and they were overly salty… to the point where I couldn’t eat them anymore. They were out of Dr Pepper and for some strange reason, serve Pepsi. Not sure how restaurants in the south don’t have Coke products. Overall, the burger was great but fries/drink were not. I will come back because after all, it’s about the burger!

I really wanted to like this place. They were friendly, it was clean, the veggies were fresh, the burger was juicy, and the burger patty had no flavor. I really didn’t know I was eating a hamburger. I’m going with 3 stars because good service, cleanliness, and freshness do mean something. Please put flavor in the burger. My search for a good burger up north is still on.
