Kwik Kar At Champions

Came in for an oil change and an inspection. Had a small issue last time we took a car here and decided to try them again. I’m not sure I’ll be going back and will drive a little further to another shop next time. After filling out paperwork and handing over the keys I waited outside for my wife to pick me up. While waiting I watched the tech get in my car to move it into the bay. In the process of backing up my car, he managed to spin my brand new tires. These are very sticky tires so he either hit the gas really hard or he did not wait for the transmission to engage before hitting the gas and let the engine rev up enough to spin the tires. So either my tires suffered some damage, or my tires and transmission suffered damage. Then when I pointed this out to the tech after being asked what type of oil I wanted, all that was said is «oh, sorry». I’ve been a mechanic before and I was always careful when I got into a new car until I knew how the steering, brakes, and gas behaved.
If there is that level of negligence within 10 seconds of having my car and just driving it into the bay, makes me wonder what care and attention to detail is done the other times. My wife thinks I should rate a 1, but since the rest of the visit was fine I’m trying to be fair.

WORST EVER! Go here only if you dont like your money. Called ahead to find out how much oil change would be for my vehicle. Told them make and model so they would know what it requires. Told $ 39.95. Got there, form said it was $ 53.95 for blend-​so whoever answers phone is not knowledgeable in the services they provide. Any other place I have checked knew this vehicle requires syn-​blend.
They would not accept insurance doc on smartphone (like the police, courts, and other inspection stations do) so I could not get the inspection. Had bought the voucher so I could do both at one place.
When it was time to check out I asked about the voucher and was told we just mark it redeemed. Wait a minute– only got$ 53 oil change, it was almost $ 80!!! I was so not happy. Oh, that is because it takes 6 qts instead of 5! So twentysome dollars for the extra quart??? This place is a rip.

Employees were very diligent and hardworking. There were only two cars being serviced but I was able to walk in and walk out within 10 minutes, which is great. I was surprised when I saw the Wednesday special for $ 10 off for women. Lobby was beautiful refreshments and snacks were offered juicy soap opera playing on the television. They washed off my dashboard andmy windows, vacuumed my front seat floor mats but did not ask if I wanted to move my stuff out of the back seat so they can do the same there, but it is okay I am very thankful with they did. I got a free car wash as well for right next door (the ultimate wash) for the oil change service and I will definitely be back. I recommend this business. Loved the customer service!

I brought both of my cars here last Saturday they took me right away both times I didn’t have to wait longer than 20 minutes for them to finish. They checked all my fluids and I get a free car wash. It also only took them about 5 minutes to. I will definitely be bringing my cars back especially since they have cookies in the waiting room and a free car wash with every oil change. I called around to find someone who offered Royal Purple oil. They did. They got me in and out quickly. Comfortable waiting area with free coffee. Staff was knowledgeable friendly and prompt. I’ll be back.

Great customer service. Highly recommended. I came in for an oil change/​service, it took a bit long, but that wasn’t their fault since it was a bit busy. Paid a fraction of the cost of what I would have paid at the Audi dealership.
Edit: I decided to take off one star, due to the fact that they don’t have the diagnostic software to remove/​reset the «Service Due» message on the dashboard.

Very good service fast and efficient… no problem didnt try to rip me off very straight forward. Frank was the man who helped me and was on of the best service advisor I have had.

Apparently the oil I’ve been getting at other places for years now is «synthetic» to them??? My oil is sw30. I’ve got that oil at Mazda and several places for the regular price. But they were arguing and saying that my car will get worse over time, and that everyone else have been lying about putting sw30 in my car. They said it’s impossible that they are giving me expensive oil for regular price.

With the $ 75 for $ 50 deal on Unilocal I ended up paying about $ 75 for a synthetic oil change on my Lexus RX… much cheaper than the $ 100+ at Lexus and it only took about 20 mins without an appointment. The free car wash next door is a big plus!!!

I’m pretty disappointed. I went here when I saw all the great reviews and that there was a coupon for new customers on Unilocal.Once I arrived, Chris talked to me about my options. He wanted to up sell me on the oil change, since my car was over the 78,000 mile mark. I asked him to figure out the price for me, considering I had a coupon for the conventional oil change. He went off and spoke with someone and later came back and told me that if I wanted to do the «high mileage» oil change, I could just deduct the $ 24.99 coupon from the price of $ 53.99. I asked him again, asking if it would be around $ 29 or so because I didn’t think that’s how the coupon worked. He said yes, that should roughly be the price, I can’t give you the final price. So I let them go ahead with the oil change. Once my car was done, they rang me up for the full price, minus $ 11. The lady told me it’s $ 11 savings off the oil change, so I only get $ 11 off of the high mileage as well. She kept calling the shop manager and telling me I got extra work so I should pay extra. Chris came back in and apologized for ME misunderstanding him, when I clearly asked him twice to make sure I heard him correctly. After about 20 minutes of continuos back and forth, they met me at the original conventional price of $ 35, which I agreed to pay. I’m unhappy with the CUSTOMER service I received. If you misquote a customer, take care of them. Don’t make it a bad experience because you, the business, quoted me incorrectly in the first place. Other than that, my oil was done in a timely manner. I’m disappointed that I won’t be returning here just because of how they handled their business.

Good, fast service. Used the Unilocal 75 $ for 50 $ coupon for a synthetic oil change. Even with 4 people already waiting when I got there, only took approx. 15 min. Even put the left over 3 $ I had from the coupon under my name to use the next time I come in. Would definitely recommend. Only reason not 5 stars is because the vacuum job was sub par, but I wasn’t excepting one at all, so I guess you can’t complain.

If you live in the Champions /​Spring /​Klein area, do yourself a favor and come here for your work. Their service is great, they’re well connected on social media and Unilocal (loads of coupons and deals if you spend a minute poking around) and they are quick and efficient. They’ve never tried to sell me on any ridiculous extra work and I never feel ripped off. In addition, they have coffee and cookies in the front, a very clean bathroom and a great place for kids to play. A proper waiting room.
Added bonus. If you don’t have anything to do that day and can’t get a ride home, plan your trip around lunch! The Kwik Kar is within walking distance of some of the better places to each in the area — Mellow Mushroom, Gringos, Rao’s Bakery (go for a great breakfast!) or Bullritos. Or you could walk down a little bit and go to two great parks to get the kids running around while work is being done. If you ask me, the location is convenient enough that you can keep yourself or the kids occupied and still stay close to the shop.

Came here to get an oil change after a competitor refused to take a valid coupon. Very nice and professional staff. Clean shop and knowledgeable staff. They even took my competitors coupon… Chatted with one of the owners the entire time and received very personalized service. The customers that came thru the door were greeted by name. They had complimentary hot dogs, cookies and coffee (YUM!)
I will be going back even though it’s not in my neighborhood. I actually got to see the filters they wanted to change (and I changed them because they were gross).
