Ordered fajitas for two. Called in and asked hostess what fajitas had bacon and she said you had to add it on seperately. I just went with regular fajitas. After i hung up i saw their menu online and saw fajitas poblanas which had bacon so i called back and changed the order since the hostess wasnt familiar with the menu. No big deal. So i get there and asked for my order and for fajitas poblanas and they had to check it and raise the price since the order hadnt been adjusted. So i spent 25 dollars which is about normal. I got home and opened it up and saw onions galore and corn shells. The shells were undercooked and not good so i cooked my own shells. No big deal. The big deal was the fajita meat was bland and tasteless and about enough for six small sized fajitas. Also be aware that order is only fajitas chips shells and charro beans only. So dont waste your time with this place. The food is bland low quality and quantity for the price and i can name ten other better places such as chachos that youll get twice the food amount and quality at the same price.

Excellent! Sucks we moved to a different part of town and can’t get here anymore. Really enjoyed this place as a local favorite.

Great service! I am a regular. The queso is awesome while the chunky guacamole can do with out the extra lettuce and tomato. The Mucho Dinner is one of my absolute favorites. I always order the dinner special but with chicken enchiladas. The taco on the mucho dinner is a little greasy though. Waiters and waitress’s are always nice. The patio used to be great until they changed it. It’s pretty much just an extension of the restaurant. The patio area is very echo-y and not really worth it to sit there. It’s all closed off and not really open to being outside. Sometimes you need to clarify certain things to the waiter with your meal if you’re in a large group — such as the meat you want being rare(red). The sampler appetizer can be easily made into an entrée with how large it is. Prepare to fill your belly! Everything is hot, but sometimes it’s too easy to tell that the whole plate had been sitting under a heat lamp — such as the plate being burning hot. The margaritas are fantastic.

Decided to try out this place based on reviews. The service was amazing ! The girl who checked our drinks and chips constantly was very friendly. We never needed anything, she was on it. The food was delicious and was served very quickly after we ordered it. Glad we found this place. Cheaper than eating at Pappasitos or Lupe Tortilla and much better service and atmosphere. Very family friendly.

If you like authentic mexican food then this is not the place for you. I’ve tried it twice because I didn’t want to drive to 45 to my favorite restaurant. The best mexican restaurant close to this area is El Palengue off 2920 and Spring Cypress.

We have been to Mi Rancho four times with various friends. Every time we have all been very pleased with our food. This includes margaritas, good chips and salsa, sour cream enchiladas, beef enchiladas, tacos, fajitas and more. The waiters have been very nice about refilling sippy cups with water and providing extra silverware and napkins for our two year old. We have never had to wait for a table. The place is huge. The service is attentive and quick. Prices are reasonable. This is a good place to try. It is one of the best we have tried below the Pappasito’s level.

My first time at this restaurant, it was an ok experience. The food was very good but there were two things that I didn’t like and it was their customer service(the waiter didn’t seem willing to help) and there was a heavy smell of oil. The smell was so strong it got stock on our clothes and hair.

We have been eating at this Mi Rancho location since they opened and never have a bad experience. We visited Saturday evening around 8pm and the place was packed inside and out. We were promptly seated on the patio(at my request, so I could satisfy the fool in me that still enjoys an after dinner smoke.) I love the new patio enclosure. Very rustic and was quite comfortable even on this chilly night. Also, the tables are a little further apart and it USUALLY is more quiet than inside. Our waiter was there in seconds and asked about drinks. The frozen Margarita’s are delicious and they do not short on alcohol. The chips are not too thin, so they do not break when you dip into the yummy red and green salsas.(They are so good I always practically inhale them!) Our meal arrived so fast that we barely got through half of the chips! My favorite was the Brocheta Cameron(Bacon wrapped Shrimp) until tonight! I had the Steak Brocheta which not only gave me 3 Brocheta Shrimp but a 10 oz Fajita Steak smothered in melting Monterrey Jack cheese on a bed of sizzling onions. My husband ordered the Beef Fajitas. Both meals were steaming hot with tender marinated meat and so delicious! The charro beans are very tasty. Their homemade tortillas are delicious all by themselves. The portions are plentiful and we always end up taking some home. Our waiter(Number 6 on the receipt) was wonderful.(I need to get better at remembering names!) His timing was perfect and not intrusive. All of the staff are very attentive. There was a table with over 20 adults and 20 children on the patio. They were obnoxiously loud(adults yelling back and forth over the screaming children) who were running around everywhere — but the staff didn’t miss a beat. I noticed the servers and bussers from their tables glancing over at our end to see if anyone needed anything. That is the sign of a good staff. We love Mi Rancho and will always be back for more.

We have been to this location a few times now, so definitely worth going to for some decent tex mex. The service is good, we have 2 people waiting on us. One makes sure your drinks, salsa, and chips stay filled. The other takes your order and delivers the food. The food is good tex mex, your traditional menu. We typically get a combo meal. They do have a lunch menu that are entrees at lunch prices. Margaritas are good size for the price. They do offer a happy hour.

I’ve been wanting to try this popular mini mexican chain and this location was the closest to my house. I was surprised to see how large the inside of this space is and also realized after hearing a screaming group in a side room that they also have banquet rooms. I ordered my standard dish, the beef fajitas and was pleased that they came out on a hot Comal and actually stayed hot for several minutes longer than I’m used to, not sure how they pulled that off. The biggest surprise was seeing Partida tequila on the menu at a place near Tomball of all places. It’s hard enough to find that tequila in a big city like Houston, much less a city not really known for their tequila drinking. So, to celebrate the occasion, I ordered a jumbo Margarita on the rocks. Service was fairly attentive here and although my waiter looked at me funny when I asked for the partida margarita, and asked would I like beer with that, I knew he was clueless than Partida was a tequila. The margarita was spot on. The other weird thing about El Rancho is that they don’t give you rice with your fajitas… only charro beans. In my 30+ years of eating fajitas all over the US, I was definitely shocked. They really short change you with the side dishes, since they also dont give sour cream or cheese either. The tortillas are the least impressive part of the fajitas, as they are not homemade, but chewy and seem to be similar to ones at many average mexican restaurants across Houston. I left full, but I’m not sure I’m coming back anytime soon.

I’ve only been once and was not impressed with the food at all. I’ve grown up eating Mexican and Texmex being Mexican and it just didn’t do it for me. This was a little over a year ago so maybe things have changed considering they have 4 stars. I may drop back in again.

Got home and looked in my to-go box to find a roach cooked into my food. Called the manager and he seemed totally unphased by it. Totally disgusting.

So this is our 3rd time here and have not been disappointed. The food has always been good and service fast and attentive. This is the best bang for your buck, we always order the beef fajitas for 2. There is plenty of food and very tasty. This is our go to when we are on this side of town. Seems to be the local favorite, and I can see why. Great food, quick tentative service, and great pricing.

I would have given Mi Rancho a decent review. Food was actually pretty good. But the fly that floated to the top of my lunch companion’s tea when it was refilled doomed that possibility. Done. I just hope I didn’t eat one of that fly’s siblings. Uh, yuk!

Been here several times but this is the first time in about two years and it’s still pretty good. Happy hour is from 2 – 7. And the margaritas are cheap and legit. Ordered chicken quesdillas and they were ok. 4 stars just for bomb ass margaritas! I shall return!

All I want to say about this restaurant is good things. I used to come here all the time when I lived in the area but moved to Houston about 2 years ago. I came here the day after my 25th bday. Their beef fajitas are the best hangover cure. I’m currently sitting at the bar. I ordered a margarita and received it immediately. When I put in my food order(beef fajitas for 2 — don’t judge me) I received them in less than 2 minutes. Let me repeat that. I RECEIVEDMYCORRECTFOODORDERINLESSTHAN2MINUTES! I don’t believe that I’ve ever had that happen anywhere except chick-fil-a. The beef fajitas here are amazing, and I wasn’t let down after not coming here for 2 years. Plus the bartender was friendly, but not pushy. I watched him clean the entire time I was there and the bar was spotless at 1:30 on a Saturday.

Let me start off by saying I am from the Chicagoland area and I’m a HuGE fan of Mexican food. Tex-Mex was/is new to me though. It was strange not being able to order a horchata at a Mexican restaurant. I really loved the fact that everyone at the table is served their own salsa. Oh yea something else I’m not used to… the salsa is warm. I ordered a fajita platter with cauliflower, broccoli, shrimp, chicken, steak and cheese!!! Holy moly was it mouthwatering delicious! I’m so glad I chose that one. It had an interesting name I can’t remember, but it was amazeballs. I had enough for not one meal, but two which is always a bonus in my book. So glad we had lunch here! It was a Sunday afternoon/early evening and it was pretty empty so service was quick. I’d definitely come back here.

Where do I start? We just moved to TX4 months ago and to Spring specifically less then 3 days ago. Craving some Mexican fair we decided to grab some take out from here even though we pass a handful of places on the way. I’m extremely happy we did! The food was amazing and very reasonably price. I ordered the beef chimichanga and my bf ordered the El vaquero. And loved all of it! The small highlights that help this place earn their 5 stars: –THEBEANS! The beans with the El vaquero are season with sofrito! My bf is PR so sofrito is a staple in our home and we have missed it with all this moving business. –The rice! I learned to make Mexican rice from my childhood best friend who is still my best friend. His mom would add chunks of carrots and that’s what this place does! It brought me back home! We will be back. And many times at that!
