This place is nice, I love the large portions. The other reviews on the appearance are true, once you sit down you forget about being smack dab in the city — its the country style feeling that makes you feel like you in a little town diner. I deducted one star because I felt like it could be a little cleaner. The food quality and taste were good, even service was great — no complaints!

I live nearby, and I have driven by this place hundreds of times. I finally stopped in on the recommendation of a friend, and I can’t wait to go back. For me, eggs Benedict serve as a marker as to whether or not a cook knows their business. The english muffin was toasted perfectly. The«in house» smoked ham was VERY tender, and not too salty and the eggs were poached to perfection. The hollandaise could have used a bit more lemon juice to brighten it up, but still very good. Food-wize, the hash browns were the only disappointment as they were a bit«smushy». A bit pricey for breakfast, but the portion size makes it worth it. The cozy interior belies the gruff exterior, and parking is tight on the weekend. I will be back to further explore the menu soon.

My husband I go come here on occasion. Great service is something that you always encounter. I order the porkchops on my last visit, I have to say that they were cold. My husband’s chicken fried steak was steaming, not sure if mine just sat until his food was complete, but the chops were and eggs were cold.

Family favorite… close by and always good. Friendly service, good portions, reasonable prices, good coffee and a happy place to begin the day.

Since 2013, this place has gone BAD! Soiled tablecloth, awful service and ugh! Hair in my food! I could not eat my order but they refused to comp ½ of the check since my hubby ate his order. I was not trying to cheat them but good gosh!

Great little place! We were looking for a good breakfast away from the chain restaurants. We arrived here on a Sunday about 10am and the place was packed. It appears this is probably a local favorite as well. They were able to get us to a table quickly, staff was friendly and took care of everything we needed for as busy as they were. I ordered a breakfast burrito and this thing was huge! All of our food came out at the same time and tasted great. Thank you The Breakfast Place!

The outside of this place may look like a whole in the wall but don’t judge a book by it’s cover because the inside is clean and cozy and the food is absolutely amazing. They also give good proportions. I brought my parents to try it out just one week after my first time trying it and they loved it as well. My parents are tough critics and usually are hard to please so that says a lot about the food here. However, the service could get a little better.

My favorite breakfast place. The staff is friendly and the food is always amazing. Looking at it from the outside you might wonder but let me set you straight — Stop and go in. My sister loves the breakfast burrito, but I always get a made to order omelet!

Stopped in here one morning with hubby. Lots of regulars and you sit wherever you like. We both ordered omelettes. Both were excellent and generous portions. Would we come, Maybe. Honestly, I do not really have nothing spectacular to review on TBP about.

Last time we went the service was subpar and the food was not good. Ordered a steak breakfast and asked for medium rare. I got a steak that was grey and cooked well done. My son got the pancakes and couldn’t even eat them due to tasting exactly like card board. No one greeted us and the hospitality was non existent. I will not be going back ever. Not one friendly smile or not one good morning. NEVERAGAIN

After seeing the reviews for The Breakfast Place, my husband and i stopped in for breakfast. It sounded like the kind of «hidden gem» we love to find. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted warmly and invited to sit wherever we wanted. We chose a booth, and noticed that the brown tablecloth was dirty, and had some food stains. The creamer for the coffee was French Vanilla, not our favorite, but okay. My husband had the steak and eggs, and I had French Toast with a side of bacon and hash browns(it comes with bacon, the hash browns were ala carte). The steak was cooked wonderfully medium, according to my husband. The French Toast was awesome, as someone earlier said, better than IHOP. The food is five star, the staff is friendly, but the three star overall is for the dirty tablecloth and French vanilla creamer. Will we go back? I say«yes», we will.

I’ve driven by this place hundreds of times. Based on the Unilocal reviews, I finally stopped in. It doesn’t look very impressive from the putside, but inside is clean and quite presentable. Not at all disappointed. The food is great. Very home style in its flavor and presentation. The service is great. Friendly and accommodating. I’ve had the French Toast and the steak and eggs. Both were very good! Stop in and enjoy lunch, breakfast or both.

Busy place for Sunday morning after church. Good and fast service. Friendly staff. Fair price. Don’t let the outside appearance fool you.

Very cool breakfast restaurant tucked into the strip next to BK and the Trailer place. Parking wasn’t too bad at 11AM but not really peak hours either. Lots of regulars and you sit wherever you like. I ordered Chicken Fried Steak and my girlfriend got Eggs Benedict. Both were excellent and generous portions. Will definitely back one weekend

A good place for breakfast. I had two eggs over easy, bacon, hash browns and toast. Everything was tasty. My wife had grits and they were awesome and didn’t taste like they were instant. I definitely would return here.

This place has amazing food and great service. It may not look like much outside, but is beautiful and clean inside. The food is really good southern style breakfast and lunch. The code is roasted locally and is always great!

Great coffee, friendly service, fun atmosphere! I’m always so happy to see individually-owned places…“yums” up for the pork chop breakfast

I really loved their French toast. I would say it’s better than IHOP’s. They serve very big portions for the price. The place is decorated like any home style place with random objects on the wall. Parking seemed like it would be a nightmare during peak hours.

Great little place for breakfast in the Spring area. When driving down Kuykendahl you might miss it because the sign out front is pretty faded and it’s a small establishment. Parking is a nightmare so I would suggest parking at BK if the lot is full on a busy morning. Here you can expect«home-style» breakfast with big portions! Breakfast tacos, burritos, hash browns, omelettes, pancakes, steak and eggs, etc. I ordered the sausage breakfast burrito and it was HUGE — and came with hash browns on the side. We also got a side order of biscuits and gravy to split and the order came with 3 biscuits smothered in TONS of gravy. Mmmm. Bring your appetite. Our server, Sara, was extremely nice and helpful with ordering. I would return if I’m in the area again!
