YO. I’ve been craving Rally’s for almost a year now and finally got a chance to stop by their NJ/Checkers branch. This is mainly a drive-thru but you could order and maybe eat inside; there’s only one round table. Spicy Chicken Double(2 for $ 6): It’s a buck more expensive than what I’m used to but I did not even hesitate when the cashier told me it’s available. Each sandwich has two pretty thick and spicy chicken patties(not too dry) with lettuce, cheese, and mayo between two buns. It tastes exactly how I remembered, so I have no complaints. The main thing that bugged me was that the sandwich was literally just thrown together. One of the cheese slices was actually on the outside of my sandwich, which is pretty hilarious actually. Oh, and be warned that the vegetables are soggy. Large Seasoned Fries(~$ 3): I don’t mind greasy food, but damn – these fries were really greasy. They’re salty and peppery, but aren’t bad. My fries box was packed, so kudos to the person who overfilled it. FYI, the menu inside only has the numbered combo items, sides, and drinks. Their specials, such as the 2 for $ 6 deals, are on the drive thru menu and I think on the tall Checkers sign outside. If those are what you’re looking for, just park at one of the spots and walk around.

Located in the middle of(insanely) busy Rt. 22, wife and I stopped here recently for some quick drive-thru grub. I had two Checkerburgers® and a small fry and she had just one Checkerburger®. The burgers were cheap, about a $ 1.49 each, and the drive-thru service was quick and efficient. The burgers were very much like a Whopper, Jr. with cheese, but the patty and bun are larger. Ingredients seemed very fresh. Taste is otherwise remarkably similar. The seasoned fries did not impress but neither were they offensive. First time I’ve eaten from here. I’d eat here again, although there are so many options for food in this section of Rt. 22, that it’s probably unlikely. Still, if you like Whoppers, don’t mind eating in your vehicle, you could do a lot worse. Here’s a link to their menu:
