Pretty simple review for me here on my two-night stay: 1. Room wasn’t ready over three hours past check in time. 2. Housekeeping didn’t come to my room and when assistance was requested from the desk, was told that they had left for the day. 3. Horrible sewer stink in the hallways. 4. The doors to the parking lot areas offered no security, you were supposed to have to use your key card to enter, but not one of the four different entries were unlocked, you could just walk right in. 5. Rooms are big enough and generally comfortable, front desk staff also try their best, but it’s not enough to make up for the negatives. There is a Hampton Inn across the highway. go there if you have to stay in the area. I say this with the understanding that when staying at a Clarion hotel one shouldn’t expect 5-star service, but basic maid service and the ability to check-in per the reservation is the least of what should happen for the money. Avoid.

With our AAA discount, my wife and I stayed here for less than $ 60/night, ate a «sit-down» breakfast of eggs, coffee, sausage, hash-browns, orange juice with a waitress. Rooms were dated but clean, had free wi-fi, refrigerator(not sure if all do). We were really satisfied with the waitresses in the breakfast room. Outstanding friendliness and caring people. The desk people were also very friendly and nice. Restaurant on a «dead-end» road, so no real traffic. So, we stayed about ½ price from what we usually pay, had great service and a real breakfast on the house. Awesome. Hope they don’t screw it up in the future.

We stayed in this Clarion over the weekend with my family because we had to go to Springfield for a wedding. I’d have to say that I was pleasantly surprised! The beds were quite comfortable, clean, and had nice sheets. There is a free breakfast buffet in the morning with biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bacon(tho I am a vegetarian, I will say the bacon looked good!), sausage, oatmeal and other items. For a free hotel breakfast, it doesn’t get much better than this. Our rate was only $ 70 per night. They have a fitness center with several machines, and the best part is that there are windows(yes windows!) in the fitness center that over look the outdoor pool area. I personally can’t stand it when hotels make their fitness rooms these tiny little places, and you feel like you are about to suffocate. The fitness room also had two full bathrooms, and was stocked with water and complimentary towels. They have a sports bar that serves booze and food until late. The hotel seemed to be well insulated because at night(even though the place was full) was very quiet. I never heard people running around, or talking outside. Overall, if you are looking for a moderately priced hotel in Springfield I would recommend this place.
