Marshalls

Aw… Marshall’s. I could not even guess how many times I was in and out of the Springfield Marshall’s around Christmas. I love Marshall’s and unfortunately, there is no TJ Maxx or Marshall’s close to where I live. As mentioned in the other review, TJ Maxx, Marshall’s and HomeGoods are all owned by the same company and carry much of the same merchandise.
Marshall’s has a great mix of name brand shoes, luggage, purses, housewares, clothing and cosmetics.
For anyone who purchases hair care product lines from Rusk, Chi, Nexxus, Biosilk, Matrix — Marshalls has many professional hair care product lines it is worth taking a look. Unfortunately, they do not have what I use, but you can spend a fortune at the salon on hair care products and these prices are VERY reasonable!
After Christmas, I actually found some Origins. Origins is my FAVORITE brand of skin care and cosmetics! I only found ONE item, but now I know there is a slim chance I could find some Origins at Marshall’s I will be there even more often when I am in Springfield!

I’ve always been slightly perplexed by the TJ Maxx and Marshalls thing. Both are owned by TJX and they have almost the same merchandise, yet they are located very close to each other in the same (Primrose) shopping center! I’m not complaining, though. I like both stores. I seem to find more at TJ Maxx for whatever reason, but Marshalls is good too. I personally prefer the no frills approach to shopping and customer service — especially when it saves me money! I don’t care that most of the items are from past seasons, as the selection and quality are equal to much higher priced department stores. I think these types of stores are brilliant, but if you’re a little pickier or accustomed to shopping at upscale stores you might not like it.

Great prices… a lot of the stuff I wouldn’t wear but the underware and socks are so cheep so thats what I buy there. The staff is friendly. This place is way more organized than Ross and somethimes you can come across a great find like I did with $ 15 converse :).
