Target Stores

Great selection, super busy. Would love to see another location in Springfield, as it can be ridiculously busy at times, so I may skip it to go somewhere quick for usual items.

Making employees work on Thanksgiving stinks. Yes, they open at 6pm, but employees have to go way before 6, leaving no time with family.

Target in Springfield is your basic chain experience with any other of this particular brand.
The staff of Springfield is professional, helpful for the most part.
The facility is up to date with a Starbucks kiosk inside.
There are plenty of retail stores in the area that are comparable to Target, but if you’re brand loyal, you may enjoy this option over most.

I love Target… espically when you find deals on the cartwheel app! :) They are great about making sure you get a speedy checkout and the employee are seem to actually be pleasant!!!

Target is fun. They always have the in style top products and special designs by well know designers. Sometimes overly priced but great place. Way better than Walmart

I always prefer Target to Wal-​mart. Even after the credit card nonsense. They are always consistent in their layout. This helps tremendously. This store is easy to get in and out of without much issue. The staff always is friendly and they have some associates who will actually still assist unlike Wal-​Mart. The groceries are still a little too pricey to utilize as a stop for grocery shopping. Great selection! The target brands are also much more reliable than other store brands.

Im giving this target a 2 star rating just for the simple fact that it had lots of clearances… I love a good bargain but oh my god this place is disgusting!!! The men’s bathroom is horrible, the women’s bathroom is worse and the family bathroom was the worst. In my 29 years I have never seen a target as gross as this one… Trash all over the store and crap all over the entry way. I told the manager I was disgusted with how nasty the store and the bathrooms were and his response was well we have had a toilet over flow
twice today and shrugged his shoulder’s as if to say oh well…

I moved next to this Target and was sooooo excited that I was near the one Target in Springfield. When I was up in Chicago/​Oak Park, I often made weekend grocery trips to the Super Target near me, and I was hoping to be able to do the same here. Sadly, I can’t because this Target is sooooo not a Super Target. Yes, it has groceries, but they’re limited for sure. It’ll serve its purpose for quick stops for things or for whenever I need a Target-​y fix, but there’s nothing special about it. That’s it.

Horrible or no customer service at the store so they told me to call their 800 number and tried that several times but had a language barrier. Tried the store on the phone again and gave up!

I really loved target when I lived by it. Now I live further form it, and don’t get here often, but I noticed they had some specials.
3 items rang up wrong price… one wouldn’t get charged right, another problem. Given an excuse by the MOD that I know was a lie — why not just admit you are having issues with pricing, instead of giving a crazy story. I’ve been in retail too long, and know computers… story was untrue.
Contacted Target… no reply guess they don’t care. I hate stores where you have to watch every item or get overcharged… and I hate stores that ‘do no wrong’ and won’t reply to simple price correction query, the most basic customer service…

Store sucks. Manager is dumb!

I’m one of Target’s biggest fans. Really. I want them to put another one in Springfield. I don’t live too far from the Target on Primrose. I can get there in a jiffy (unless it is CHRISTMAS season),
One spot to add a new Target could be the old Lily plant on Glenstone, between I-​44 and Chestnut Expressway. Erect a pedestrian bridge that crosses Glenstone, and voila, Target will get lots of college students from both Evangel and OTC. This would also be very close to Drury University. A Target on that part of Glenstone would also see lots of students from the biggest college in town, Missouri State University.

I like Target, but I really make sure I love an item before I purchase. The return policy is strict and it isn’t even about that. I hate returning items and I can save a receipt and makea return in a reasonable amount of time. I have found Target’s customer service desk to be less than stellar.
My most recent encounter was right after Christmas. I bought two massively discounted hoodies. The first day I wore one, the zipper broke. Yes, I had the tags because they were still in the trash. I tried on the other hoodie and could just tell the zipper was so cheap, it would likely break too. I decided to return both items and be done w/​them. Now, remember this is the DAY after I bought the two hoodies with the receipt. One hoodie w/​the tags on it and the other with me holding the tags with the broken zipper. The clerk really snotty said, «this is the first time I have had anyone complain about these!!». Really? They were $ 9 and they had probably 500 stacked in the ladies section. I cannot believe I am the only one who felt the zippers were going to rip straight out. Oy vey! And who cares if I am the only person w/​the problem. The receipt I was making the return on had almost $ 120 worth of crap on it and I am returning 2 shoddy hoodies? Just take the hoodies and save the comments.
I enjoy looking around Target. I have to compliment the cosmetic and hair care sections and product lines. My sister has gotten some great deals on furniture thru
. If you watch for sales, they have various percentages off and free shipping with a purchase over a certain dollar amount.
I like Target, but not in love. I could do without it, too.

What can I say, I love this place. This might just be my happy place… an award not easily given out. I come here to buy the things I didnt know I’ve always needed… and the to eat popcorn while I look for 5 $ movies in the entertainment section.

I am a fan of Target, like most people in my age and demographic. It’s pretty much a given. They have everything (almost) Walmart has, at very similar prices, but Target clientele and staff see fit to practice basic hygiene, creating a much more pleasant shopping experience! The Springfield Target is always clean, well stocked, and appropriately staffed. I shop at Target in Springfield and the nearby Joplin store regularly, and while they are similar sized stores, Springfield has a larger selection on many items — especially housewares and seasonal items. This is a nice benefit!

Seems that Springfield has discovered the joy of Target. I kind of liked it when it first opened and NO ONE shopped here.
Anyhow– this target is like all the rest– except the staff is pretty darn friendly. They were out of a limited edition toy my mother wanted to give my niece for Christmas, so we have been stalking them by calling every single day. They keep telling us to call the next day– they will get some in overnight. I doubt too many people here behave like this– yet they have been friendly the entire time!
I LOVE that thisTarget carrys Pureology hair products– for CHEAP– talking like 26 $ for the straightening lotion! YAHOO (not to mention cheap taxes on top of it!)
OH– PEOPLE— PUT YOUR DAMN CARTS AWAY! IF WE RUDE, HEATHEN PEOPLE FROM CHICAGO CAN DO IT— YOU GODLY PEOPLE IN THE BIBLE BELT CAN SHOW SOME CONSIDERATION for others TOO!

Wow! A discount department store that doesn’t violate your soul! I’m sure it still does in some way, lots of their merchandise is from the places where people are paid tiny, tiny, amounts to make it, but… The «stuff» is all nice, appealing, and mostly displayed attractively. I like their bargain-​hunter endcaps. Now that I’ve finally figured out how things are arranged, I like the store. Don’t go to the shoe department, though. Yak. Good baby section and registry. Great place to go shopping for showers, although surely there’s a better way than printing out ALL those pages!!! Good snack mixes, watch for sales. Mostly helpful help, although during Christmas season it was iffy.
