I went to Gold Trader this morning with a ring I was hoping to have:
1.) Identified.
2.) Appraised.
3.) Converted to paper money.
Not only did the employee, (for the record this was NOT the owner) incorrectly identify the diamonds in the ring as «definitely not diamonds,» he fabricated the current price of gold, stating that it was below the actual current price.
This was not my first time in Gold Trader, and probably will not be my last, however this visit did leave a bad taste in my mouth.
I received a second opinion from a jeweler down the road, and received 40% more than the price offered at gold trader.
I WILL return to this establishment based on its proximity, however I WILL NOT return without seeking a second opinion.
