This place has the most amazing food! The portions are large can feed up to two people. The waiter that we had was very pleasant and went above and beyond to make his customers happy:) I would recommend this place to my family and friends. I will be going back soon!

Our family has been to Saray II three times in the last week and a half because it is so good. All the food is so authentic and fresh, and the servers are very nice. Starting with the bread they give you, it is so fluffy, straight from the oven addicting. Make sure to leave some room for the main dishes. They also give you complimentary yummy black tea from beautiful teapots. When I went for lunch, I got the appetizer sampler of two different kinds of eggplant, garlic yogurt, hummus, and a pepper mix. I eat mostly vegetables so was pleased to have this sampler. My dad is a meat eater and he was satisfied with the vast selection of kebab and other meats– lamb, chicken and beef. The hummus was so good we ordered more to take home with us. Everything was homemade, fresh, and tasty! The entrees come with two kinds of rice, a side salad and a few grilled veggies. So glad that this restaurant is in the area.

The restaurant décor is simple and elegant. The atmosphere is very relaxing. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs. They are willing to explain the menu, so don’t be afraid to ask. Now the food, wow!!! For appetizers we had the Sigara Boregi and Kiymale Pie-yummy. My husband had prime rib shish kebab and I had the kofte kebab. Both meats came with two different rice(yellow and white), thin pita bread, and grilled tomato and hot pepper(it’s really hot). The meats were very flavorful. Oh, I forgot to mention their bread is crispy on the outside and soft inside. You can also BYOB. Very satisfied and will definitely go again.

A total culinary experience !!! Starting with their delicious fresh home made bread through the Mixed Cold Appetizers composed of Hummus, Haydari, Antep Ezme, Eggplant salad & Soslu Patlican !!! The presentation and flavored were a celebration to our taste buds. Other appetizers that we ordered were Arnavut Cogeri which is Fried Liver Cubes and Mujver –Fried Zucchini Patties. By the time our dinner arrived we were full… We continued our dinner with a platter of Grilled Mixed Chicken and could not finish but we had to taste it and the word DELICIOUS does not do enough justice. This was our first time here and we will definitely come back. Must mention the traditional desserts that were just amazing. Highly recommend. !!!

There are not many places I would give my 5 stars to in Springfield but this spot definately deserves it! The location is fantastic, plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is adorable and beautifully set up. The bathrooms(at least the women’s bathroom) is also really clean, which is a huge deal for me. And our waitress was just a delight!!! Honest about food options and proportions. She was great! Now to the important stuff– the food was some of the best food I’ve tasted. We got an appetizer of eggplant and sauce which was my most favorite part of the dinner quite frankly, but the rest was also superb. The mixed grill and kiymali pie were phenomenal. Plenty of food for three people. The meats were perfectly cooked and seasoned so well. The deserts were fantastic! Just the right amount of sweet, not so much to let your teeth fall out! We got the rice pudding and kunafe and my mouth is watering just thinking about it! This is definately a place to check out if you’re in the area! Will definately be coming back!

This place was awesome! It’s a little place located in Springfield(but not a part of Springfield where you’ll get shot for going to get dinner) and it has its own parking lot. The food is DELICIOUS. Get the eggplant and sauce appetizer — it was one of the tastiest things I’ve eaten in awhile. I pretty much devoured everything in sight while I was there. The mixed grill was also delicious :) Okay so let’s talk about desserts. They were SOGOOD. They’re not overly sweet, which is a nice change from American desserts. The rice putting was awesome and the dessert made with crispy noodles and melted cheese(yes sounds gross but it was awesome) was yummy. I’m absolutely going back — this is my new favorite place in Springfield.

Set in a culinary wasteland that is littered with run of the mill Asian and Italian restaurants, Saray II offers Springfield a unique and new dining choice. After being opened for some time now, I finally got a chance to try it out on a Friday evening. Upon entering the newly renovated, clean, and modern restaurant we were greeted by the host who sternly asked if we had a reservation. We were like«uhhh no» and completely caught off guard. Then he reluctantly squeezed our table of three in like he was doing us a favor. The place wasn’t even full or busy with no one waiting. Our waiter happened to be the host who’s serious and stale personality left us feeling sort of uncomfortable, like he didn’t want us there. We weren’t like the two old ladies behind us telling the waiter that America was the best country in the world. The drink list is uninspiring with basic soda choices that don’t fit well with the type of food, mostly because they don’t have a liquor license. I went straight for the Turkish tea. The service was less than engaging, but was prompt. They were quick with water refills, food, and clearing dishes. The food was very good with no complaints. Hummus appetizer was great, and so was the stuffed eggplant. The shrimp kebab came with a huge side salad. The Doner Kebab, although a bit dry, also came with a big portion. The portions are generous, and the prices seemed pretty fair. Two appetizers, three entrees, drinks, and dessert ran about $ 70 without tip. Overall, it was a good experience and I would go back. A tip for the staff, crack a smile once in awhile, it goes along way, especially when I’m deciding your tip.

Never had Turkish food before but was presently surprised by the flavor of the food. Not over powering with heat which is a plus for me. Little on the pricey side. Certainly worth trying.
