Our favorite pizza. Perfect mix of everything!!! We have been going here for years. Would be 5 stars but I wish they would update it some. Very old and dingy.

Apparently a «new» standard ingredient for pizza is HAIR! We ordered a large order and found«FOUR» long hairs in all separate pizzas and in a salad. When we took the hairs up to the counter, they didn’t seem too concerned! I demanded my money back and we all left and went someplace else to eat. NEVER again will any of our large group eat there again. Service was rude.

If you like crispy crust, light sauce and a ton of cheese, this is the place for you! My family and I have been coming here for as long as I can remember. Although these days I have my husband pick up the pizza and bring it home. I can’t eat in the restaurant, but more on that soon. The crust is pre-made, definitely not in house, but whatever they use, it comes out super crispy, which is exactly how I like it. They use tons of cheese. I love my cheese, and a basic double cheese pizza is almost too much cheese. They use canned mushrooms, which I’m not a big fan of. I wish fresh were optional. I’m a big fan of the veggie pizza as well. Pepperoni is always crispy, almost burnt, which is delicious. Although the pepperoni doesn’t agree with my stomach. The reasons I can’t eat in this restaurant is that it’s THE definition of a dive. The roof leaks, to where they have drip buckets scattered around various places inside the restaurant. It’s dark, smells moldy, and hasn’t been cleaned thoroughly or remodeled since it opened. So it screams germs and bacteria to me. The staff looks less than savory as well. Like they were just sort of pulled off the street and plopped in here to fill space. If you can get over the fact it’s an absolute dive, it’s pretty good food. It’s not somewhere we go often anymore, but once in a while it’s a nice change.

I would have given this place 5 stars if the restaurant was better taken care of. It is really run down. I went in there once after it had rained, and the floors were flooded under a lot of the tables. With that being said, the pizza is amazing. They do warn you that their pizza comes with little sauce and a lot of cheese(which is what I happen to prefer), so just be aware of that.

I love going on their letter day, when my last name matches and I can get pizzas at a good deal. The pizza is good– I love the cheese and the little flippy pepperonis. The crust can be a little too crunchy, but not too bad. The inside décor has definitely aged, but the seating is nice. Service is friendly and they help with questions when you have them. My only complaints are that they close on mondays, that the parking lot is small, and that, if they didn’t have a sign like they do, you almost couldn’t tell it was a restaurant. Good pizza, though, especially if you’re in the mood for a quick meal.

When they call a place a «dive,» they have places like this in mind. The building is a bit worse for wear. The interior hasn’t been touched in decades. The bathrooms are shoehorned into the middle of the room, and the fixtures are straight out of a grade school circa 1970. There are arcade video games from 20 – 30 years ago. It all looks like a perfect candidate for one of those reality shows where a chef swoops in to rescue a failing business, except Joey’s isn’t failing. It seems to be doing quite nicely. DLW and I stopped in for Saturday lunch, and found the parking lot at least half-full. Inside a big party was underway. The cook told us they were Springfield High grads having a reunion, something like 45th year. A couple of other tables were taken, but otherwise it was just us and them. We ordered a salad and half-and-half pizza. The salad was decent, fresh lettuce with lots of ham, shredded cheese and pineapple, a salad for people who say they don’t eat salad. The pizza was one of the strangest I’ve seen: thin crust, very little sauce, absolutely loaded with toppings. The Heart Warmer half had pepperoni, onion and jalapenos, and lived up to its name. The other half, Chef’s Special, had very large slices of tomato covering the rest of the toppings. It looked awkward, but tasted pretty good. The tomato added some much needed juiciness. They serve beer on tap, and a small pitcher holds enough for three glasses, just right for a twosome. It does what it’s supposed to do, which is serve simple pizzas in a no-frills atmosphere. If you like pizza loaded up with toppings, you ought to like it a lot. It’s not my preference, though. I prefer a well-developed crust that stands on its own without needing help from toppings, but that’s me.

Not good. No sauce, way too much cheese, generic crust and gave me a bad stomach ache. My husband is even more disappointed than I am. We won’t be back.

After hearing about the«best pizza in the area» for a year or more, I made the long drive here last night. Pizza menu looked close to correct(for a New Yorker like myself). Ordered a half and half of something or another to eat there. Sat down(after swapping out our dirty glasses for clean) wait inform our pizza to arrive. After deep contemplation and discussion with the mrs we decided that touching the table and anything else inside before eating pizza with our hands made the experience less than palatable. We decided to take ours to go. Got home, immediately washed to our shoulders, and began to indulge in «the best pizza in the area». This pizza is on par with Abby’s(my opinion the worst pizza ever). I know being from New York pizza has a high bar, but next time I’ll order dominos, and that says it all. Won’t be back, and I might suggest a deep scrub and disinfect. Wife and I actually searched for the cleanest table before sitting and still lost arm hair to the tacky gunk on the table. I am sure I wasn’t the first yesterday to do so. Not worth the cheap price, but reading the reviews cheap seams to buy happiness. Not for me

Would have given it 5 stars but haven’t stepped inside the place, always had family pick it up. Excellent pizza and the beer drivers rock!

This isn’t gourmet pizza, but this is the best pizza in town. I wouldn’t take my in-laws here, but this is a go-to with friends. If you want lots of cheese, a little sauce, and a good time, this is the place.

Been going here since I was a kid and the pizza has invariably been amazing. If you want classic comfort pizza, Joey’s is a great place.

Joeys Pizza is great. Friendly staff. Delicious food. Prompt service. And letter day is amazing. If youre looking for a shiny corporate pizza chain look elsewhere. If you want some great pizza from an old school pizza place, i recommend Joeys.

They have good pizza. Every time I go there they have lots of people. They also have letter night which is where if your last name starts with the letter posted on the outside board you get a special on a large pizza. It’s a great deal for a family. Also we always end up with more pizza then we think and end up taking some home. The Hawaiian Pizza is really good and the pepperoni i got a spicy kick to it. But i would definitely recommend this place for pizza.

My favorite pizza in town! Good pizza, thin crust with little sauce and lots of cheese. If you order Canadian bacon & pineapple, make sure you ask for extra pineapple, because they often add little pineapple.

One of my favorite pizza joints around. Letter night keeps me waiting every month. If your last name starts with the letter posted on the outside board you get a special on a large. Don’t let the dusty dark 70’s interior scare you off, the pizza is the bomb. Best pepperoni!

Okay… reviews were kinda all over the place. We had to try! I heard multiple times how scary the interior is. Well, walking in my wife and I felt it looked like an old school pizza joint. It wasn’t the cleanest looking. Just an old throwback to the 70s and 80s pizza places. Long bench like tables, the odd décor, the old«pizza parlor» drink area. Kinda reminds me of a run down Shakeys from when I was a kid. But we would totally eat there! They have Astroids video game!!! And a pinball machine! That’s worth 3 stars alone! For the food… they have a hand written sign saying something to the effect of we make our pizzas with little sauce, lots of cheese and well done crispy crust. I’m thinking, that’s exactly how I like it! We got the initial special with the giant pepperoni for $ 11 and a medium sausage pizza. Pepperoni very greasy! But still tasty. The pepperonis were tiny but flavorful. They were not kidding about the sauce and cheese! Tons of cheese and the sauce was just about nonexistent. I could use a bit more sauce. The crust was nice, thin and crispy. The sausage was good but tasted more like breakfast sausage than Italian. Overall, we will be back. Wish they had TV’s! But hey, they got Astroids!

I would have never tried joey’s again from my disappointing first time, but my wife brought some pizza home from her work. I have to admit, they did much better this time. I had the Hawaiian pizza and it was not greasy at all this time to my pleasant surprise. I actually enjoyed it and it clearly passed the little Cesar’s test, it was much better this go around! I wouldn’t mind stopping here on occasion now. Glad I got the second try!
