Ask anyone from Springfield that when they come home for a visit you always get Mel-​O-​Cream and a horseshoe. These are things you CANNOT get outside the «Patch». I like the classic glazed rings and chocolate Long Johns but I’ve also had the old fashions, and the ever sinful Bismarks. I love love love their hot chocolate. I always went to the Laurel Location and Fairhills mall. Every kid remembers smooshing their faces up to the glass and picking out their favorite.

I can never make a trip back to the «patch» without thinking about Mel O Cream. My grandparents brought me here all the time as a child. For being a small single market shop this place held off Krispy and Dunkin my entire childhood. There is something to say about that. All I ever want is a sugar twist or a chocolate long john and some chocolate milk and breakfast is complete!
