I came here with some friends about an hour and a half before closing. However, the employees had put up some of the chairs and after paying, we asked where we could sit since it was pretty packed except the table with chairs on top and the cashier just gave an attitude and said«I don’t know» and rolled her eyes. Ugh. Hour and a half before closing. no need for an attitude to the customer. ANYWAYS. Besides that, the food itself was so delicious. I couldn’t decide what to get so I got the salad(don’t judge) but shared a pizza with my friend as well. I got the Wilma Jean which was perfect. I absolutely loved everything about it and it is really good portion. The pizza you’re able to basically split it in half and even get half & half sauce of whatever you want. The ingredients taste fresh and is cooked/made in front of you. You do have the option of getting a pizza that they have created for you. But the options are practically endless. Despite the disappointing service — I absolutely love this place. A little pricey but I think it’s worth it!

This is my top personal pizza place to go to when I’m really looking to enjoy! You personalize the pizza to your liking, but there are still premise options as well. Pizzas are about $ 9 and this includes UNLIMITED selection of cheese, sauces, veggies, meats, & finishings. The pizza is a little large for one person and can be lightly shared for no more than two. The pizzas are horizontally made rather than circular as this helps the cooking time, pizzas are finished in 1 minute! If you’ve never been, the process is very easy, it’s the Chipotle of Pizza. Employees who work there are always so happy and friendly and you can tell they care. If you like spicy pizza I recommend getting the spicy tomato sauce, jalapeños, & for chili oil for the finishing!

Yes! They have gluten freeeeeee! I wasn’t too happy when they took it off the schedule but now that’s it’s back in super excited. The space seems crowed though and lines can be long. But the pizza is well worth it!

I loved &pizza the first time I had it, but this place was very disappointing! Out of the 3 locations around here, I’ve only been to the one in Bethesda before this one was opened. I was expecting it to be as good as what I’ve had but NO! The pizza turned out very soggy and the center was not cooked all the way. What really turned me away from this place was that the employee was about to use her dirty gloves to put topping on my pizza after she opened the fridge. That’s Cross-contamination BIGTIME!!! Call me OCD but who knows what’s on that fridge handle. When I asked her to switch to new gloves, she gave me a funny look!

I am in love with &Pizza. The price is great and the ingredients are fresh. I’ve fallen into a routine of getting classic tomato sauce, pepperoni, basil, mushrooms and peppers with basil pesto sauce on top. I love all things &Pizza. Reasonably priced, great ingredients to choose from, friendly service, and delicious pizza. I’ve tried the traditional and ancient grains dough and they are both delicious.

Tried this place for the first time and now I know why everyone goes here for pizza… it’s so G-O-O-D! You can either customize your own pizza or get one thats already on the menu. Their drinks are housemade craft soda(Ginger Berry Lemonade is the best) and you can get your pizza in less than 10 minutes. I customized my own pizza with mushroom truffle(SOOGOOD)(they have a wide variety of sauces), shredded mozzarella, jalapeño, pepperoni, mushrooms, and bacon. After my pizza was cooked the person at the register asked if i wanted more toppings added so I ended up getting the white garlic sauce(as good as ranch on your pizza). I tried all the different flavors on the housemade craft soda and the best one is the ginger berry lemonade! The next time I go there, I’m definitely going to try to customize my pizza and try out their different sauces. Can’t wait to go there again!

& pizza is really good. Like others have said, when you enter the joint, there usually is a line but the staff is very helpful and cheerful. I love the fact your pizza is made in front of you in a manner of minutes. When ordering, try to have some idea of what you want on your pizza if you choose the create your own. I love all their fresh and high quality ingredients. I am a fan of the ancient grain dough to the regular dough. I get ancient grain dough with regular sauce mixed with garlic purée sauce. I have them put on extra fresh mozzarella(who doesn’t love extra cheese?), bacon, sausage, pepperoni, meatballs, chicken, salami, topped off some parmesan cheese. I can taste it right now. I will continue to go here. It is a great place to eat before or after a movie.

I have to give my last visit 2 stars makes me sad… I don’t think I’ve ever had a horrible experience at &pizza and especially at the Springfield location. I’ve been here on countless occasions from Unilocal events to my own venturing. But this time my visit with the bf was lackluster. We ordered both the maverick and the farmers daughter. His maverick was fine but my farmers daughter was underwelming. Overall flavor was fine. Toppings were fine minus the fact that my egg was overcooked. Plus the last time I checked the farmers daughter should have 2 eggs not one and I was only given one. More like half an egg considering that the yolk was the only thing on my pizza. oh and did I mention I had to ask for an egg that should automatically come on a pizza that is listed on your menu considering I asked for it as is with no changes. Overall…not my best experience with &pizza and maybe because they were a little busy but this should be no excuse for not knowing a pizza off of your menu. Oh and not to mention every soda fountain dispenser was out except the fig and pear soda. If that is the case atleast label it so people don’t have to go around searching for a beverage when carbonated water and regular water are the only thing dispensing.

Ugh… I came a few times before writing my review, and the reason I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 is because the pizza pretty good. I don’t want to say this place is a hit or miss, because it isn’t. It would be a hit all the time if there was more organization and less disappointment. I like how they let you customize the pie totally and the list of ingredients is impressive! The first time I went I was completely overwhelmed by options. SOMANYOPTIONS!!! I found out you can ask for more than one sauce too: P I just can’t get over several things. The staff. It was a really off-putting experience the most recent time I went. The staff was really inattentive and they were goofing off more than making pizzas. There was NOONE in front of me. There was maybe one lady in front actually making a pizza, everyone else theirs was either in the oven or they were waiting to check out. The pizza making took FOREVER. I mean… even the check out. I saw people waiting with their pizza/pizza boxes for a while before getting helped. I saw my pizza come out of the oven and waited for a while to put the final toppings on. It just sat there, chilling. Literally, cooling. I also saw the guy take tongs and put the toppings back on a pizza where it had slid off. Then used the same tongs to do that to another pizza… It’s just wrong to so many types of people. It’s always slow… I figured it’s because they are making pizza by pizza and it’s not easy to make it the fastest. I didn’t really mind, but I am starting to think it is because they lack attention, and really the really crappy service. The guy a couple people ahead of me never got his pizza. He wanted to leave. They basically didn’t let him, they kept asking what was on the pizza, and he asked if he had to wait in line again. I saw him waiting at the table forever. Felt bad for him, waiting that long for a pizza that shouldn’t have taken that long in the first place, and then having to wait even longer. Also– this is not really &pizza’s fault but there was a really unruly customer complaining about the fact there was no more pizza/salad combo. I thought the staff dealt with this issue poorly. The person who he was complaining too, half ignored him while cleaning up and half responding. He kept at it. Thankfully, I got my pizza and got out of there. The truly disappointing part of it all, was the pizza was underwhelming the last couple times. I just. This time was especially bad because of how cold the pizza was from just sitting around. I don’t know if I’ll come back. I am truly sad. I LOVE pizza. This is the first place where I, myself actually BOUGHT pizza too. I normally make it from scratch at home, but enjoyed the pizza enough to come back.

Love &pizza is so correct because this place is awesome! I love it. Build your own pizza with unlimited toppings for under $ 10?! Yes pleaseeee! I came to this particular location with a friend where I built my own and she got one of the menu pizzas and both of us were not disappointed. They have so many choices of toppings and sauces that there’s something for everyone. If you want a little kick I highly suggest the spicy marinara as your base sauce. However, the chili oil that can be added after baking is not very spicy. For people like me who have a hard time making decisions, you can even get two types of sauce! &pizza also offers a gluten free crust for additional charge which is what my friend ordered. From what I can tell, there’s not much difference between gluten free and regular crust in terms of flavor and texture. I did not get a chance to try their soda but I will next time! Instead of your usual Coke and Pepsi products in the soda fountain, &pizza has its own selection of natural sodas in some very interesting flavors. I will 110% be back soon

The hubs and I stopped by &pizza to grab a quick dinner. We were slightly skeptical, as our previous experience was a bit underwhelming, but, I was pleasantly surprised with our pizzas! I had the Gnarlic(traditional crust topped with roasted garlic purée, ricotta spread, fresh mozzarella, quattro formaggi blend, garlic oil, black pepper, and the optional(but, not optional for me) salami(I requested extraaa) — this came out really cheesy and yummy, and the crust was crispy: D I’m glad that they turned up that oven a bit! I was, however, a little disappointed with the ‘fresh’ basil, as it wasn’t fresh and just brown(just took those off). We also had a ‘customized’ Maverick(traditional crust with spicy tomato sauce, mozzarella, salami, 39-day aged pepperoni, classic fennel Italian sausage, red pepper chili oil, and and Parmesan reggiano sprinklings on top) — this was also pretty yummy, as the request for additional meats made it quite fulfilling, and the spicy tomato with the red pepper chili oil was a great combination. The staff were pretty friendly, and the lines moved along efficiently. Just note that you need to go through their main entrance on Sundays, as they close the mall entrance. +Gnarlic +customized Maverick(with spicy tomato sauce and red pepper chili oil) +friendly staff +parking in mall lot

Ah, &pizza, the place where lame suburbanite parents, Latino guys with tats, and me can all enjoy a meal. That being said, apparently little girls who like cheddar cheese cannot; the one behind me in line saw some and asked for it, and was told no, apparently because it was only for the new specialty pizza and nothing else. If this is policy, this is a strange policy, but even if it is, when a five-year-old girl asks nicely for something inconsequential, *make an exception*. Customer service, people. &pizza’s done enough right that I’m only deducting one star in the hope that the people at this outlet will lighten up. That being said, this location is buried in a suburban mall, which yields a few observations. One, suburban malls still exist. Two, it lacks the cool neighborhood vibe of the urban locations, because it isn’t in a cool neighborhood. Three, it has more space, albeit still hardly enough for the evening crowd. The pizza is pretty much what I’ve come to expect. I was all spiced out from earlier exploits and went with a less spicy pizza than I usually do, but even the B team of ingredients is awfully good. Always more vegetarian options than I can eat. I keep waiting for someone to tell me I’ve exceeded the number of toppings one is allowed, but that doesn’t seem to be in the cards. I don’t find myself in suburban Virginia all that often, but the people out here are lucky they have an &pizza.

My first time here, I was with a Unilocal event. Everything was great, from service to food to environment. Thus I decided to pay another visit couple weeks later. It certainly was not the same experience. Despite the fact that I attended a Unilocal event, where we were treated like VIPs, it was just bad the second time I went. The staffs seemed incompetent, not fully knowing what to do. They certainly did not seem happy to be there nor have any enthusiasm making pizza and very rude. One staff was wearing the same pair of gloves until we asked her to change them. She was doing everything from picking up food, holding the cutter, picking up the pan, touching/opening cabinets, and picking up other things. I mean I’m not shocked about it, I’m sure everyone does that when they’re behind the scene in the kitchen, but don’t do that in front of your customers! Nonetheless, the pizza was pretty good.

I love that you can build and have your ideal pizza in minutes! They provide many options for the type of dough, sauce, cheese, and toppings — and it’s all for under $ 10! You can also buy one of their signature pizzas, but I usually just create my own. My usual consists of traditional dough, either mushroom truffle or basil spinach pesto as the sauce, mozzarella cheese, spinach, artichoke, marinated mushroom blend, kalamata olives, caramelized onions, roasted tomato, basil, feta and sometimes sausage. Some of the craft sodas are pretty good as well. My favorite is the ginger berry lemonade!

I came here recently as part of a Unilocal Event. This was on brunch stop #4 and we were able to sample about 5 pizza’s and sample the salads as well. The pizza’s are shaped in a sort of rectangle shape, not your typical round circular. I thought that was intriguing and unique. Sampled the following pizza’s: — The Farmers Daughter — which contained sausage, mushrooms, cheese, very hearty flavors. — Back Yard Garden — a veggie pizza with spicy arugula greens, fresh tomatoes, cheese — Maverick — spicy sausage and pepperoni — The Lori Lane — dessert pizza with ricotta and blueberries… delish The pizza’s were fresh, hot, thin crust, very fresh. I was not able to try the salads. Honestly, I was blown away by the excellent customer service. The General Manager — Stephanie did an wonderful job educating the group, keeping everyone engaged, and managing the lunch rush in the restaurant as well. There have additional locations around DC as well. I was impressed with the unique soda machine on site.

In order for me to give a restaurant a five star rating, something has to be unique about that restaurant that I haven’t experienced anywhere else. The uniqueness can be anything-maybe the restaurant has a dish that no one else has, maybe the location is a hole in the wall that you would never think of stopping at, or maybe they specialize and excel in exactly one kind of food. For all of my previous five star reviews, each restaurant had exactly one defining, unique aspect that made it special. &pizza is the first restaurant I have been to that has multiple unique aspects that make it special and five star worthy. Here’s my list of what makes &pizza a five star location. –Sit down, restaurant quality pizza served at the speed of a fast(think college town fast) Chipotle. In fact, this pizza is BETTER than pizza I’ve ordered in restaurants. Try the gnarlic and tell me I’m wrong. The crust was cooked perfectly. Incredibly fresh ingredients that you can actually taste. Tangy cheese. Served hot out of the oven. Nothing about this kind of setup should work. You just don’t get this kind of food, at this level of quality, THIS quickly. –Restaurant design that is tailored exactly to the food. The pizza is rectangular here, and it so follows that literally every aspect of the restaurant is tailored the same way. The building space itself is a long rectangle. The tables are long, thin rectangles. The take out boxes are rectangular. Check out the font of the &pizza logo when you walk through the doors. Notice anything different? The i isn’t dotted in «pizza». Even the font follows the theme. This is Apple-esque design in a pizza place. –Unmatched taste and value for the price. For about $ 11 dollars a person, you get one whole pizza and a drink.(Assuming you don’t go nuts with extra toppings) I could not believe the quality of the pizza I was eating after paying only $ 11. They could charge $ 15 a pizza and it would STILL be a good value. Will these prices last? I don’t know. But right now this is one of the best deals in town. I’d like to go on longer about &pizza, but let’s just wrap things up here. &pizza is a must-go right now in Northern Virginia. It is, without question, exceptional.

I came here for a Unilocal event. The manager was really friendly and gave us a lot of information. I love how customizeable it is, and the crust really is very good. The craft sodas are also super yummy, especially the rootbeer! We were served a number of salads and pizzas and the standouts for me were the Gnarlic and the Lori Lane dessert pizza.

Let me tell you this, I have tried &pizza at the airport and I had an absolutely horrible experience. At the airport I ran into an unpleasant employee. And thus, I couldn’t even enjoy my pizza because I was so bitter about the service provided to me. At that moment, I thought that my vacation was down the drain.(Yes, I have dramatic tendencies.) But once I finished my pizza I had forgotten all about my negative encounter at &pizza, until I ate at their Springfield location. At this Springfield mall location, the employees are so professional and so friendly… Far from my first encounter. They are accommodating and very detail oriented. The food is delicious and it is clear that they utilize the freshest of ingredients for their topping options. The space itself is small but in a cozy way. The restaurant is cozy and has a homey vibe. It’s a great place to get a personal pizza!!!

Over the weekend I took the hubby to Springfield Mall with a couple of missions in mind — one was introducing him to &pizza. He was skeptical going in, comparing it to other places, unsure why it was a place I wanted him to try. Once we got started he was enjoying it. He might have gone a little overboard on the toppings, but honestly, isn’t that part of the fun? He enjoyed it and is already talking about what combinations to try next time. I went with a spicy tomato /garlic combination of sauces on the multi grain crust to start and worked with the Farmer’s Daughter as my basic(without the egg — I just can’t get into the egg on pizza idea). I added some chicken and after oven seasoning. It was very good. In addition to the yummy and personalized eats there is also the wonderful staff. I don’t know what &pizza does to keep the team so happy and engaged but they should definitely keep it up. From the initial selections, to the after oven toppings, to the check-out, to the women who was cleaning up the tables, they were all engaged. I particularly appreciated the women who was removing plates and wiping tables, its not a fun activity but she saw still engaged and asked if we had enjoyed our pizzas(& when I responded she replied which really, really impressed me). &pizza gets two thumbs up and may even make me a Springfield Mall regular, something I never thought I would even consider.
