So I’m going with a two star rating to Rice House. Now my family and I order from Rice House quite a bit and it’s gone just fine. I’m not sure if this extremely rude manager I came in contact with tonight is new, but she personally made our experience this time terrible. They didn’t follow the special instructions at all and sent us extremely dry lo mein. Now we asked for extra sauce because the lo mein seems to be dry everytime we order it and we contacted the resturaunt to inform them we did not receive extra sauce and Ashley very rudely told me I was lying and she watched the staff add extra sauce. Now in my opinion she didn’t have very good customer service skills and shouldn’t be in management position by the way she was speaking to me. I called and spent over $ 50 as I always do because my family is large. Never have I complained about my order which they know because I’m in their system so being rude and calling me a liar is uncalled for. My family and I will never eat there again because of poor rude service from Ashley the manager. Sad when you hire someone and pay them just for them to make your business you worked hard for look bad.

First let me say that I am extremely excited we finally have a Chinese Restaurant that delivers to our area. I was happy to find their menu in a our mail. The food… Our food… Was extremely bland! I ordered the Chicken Mei Fun and it had no taste! Not exaggerating at all. I poured packets upon packets of soy sauce on my meal in order to get semi taste. The crab rangoons were good! I also like the fact that our credit card was swiped at the door once the delivery guy came. Overall, happy for delivery and service but food needs a little help.

Definitely the best Chinese in town. Their dinner combos give you so much food for your monies worth!

Excellent! Some of the best tasting Chinese in town. Prices were decent and delivery was super fast! We decided to try rice house since they deliver, not expecting great food but we enjoyed everything we ordered. We ordered chicken lo mein, shrimp fried rice, sweet and sour chicken, and crab rangoon. Everything was still hot when it got to our door! We will definitely be ordering from here again!

I’ve gone mostly Paleo but this is Springfield so I have indulge in Chinese once in a while and I decided to give Rice House a go. The décor is bland with fluorescent lights and purely utilitarian so probably not a good choice for a date. The staff was friendly and the food came quickly. I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken in a combo with a spring roll and crab rangoon. The sides were okay but really small. While the GTC was plentiful, it seemed to need more rice, especially since I found the sauce overly sweet and less spicy than I like. You could do worse but Canton Inn is a better hole in the wall Chinese place with better prices and better food(as evidenced by the NY Times review on their wall). I might try Rice House again when I’m nearby.

Good food. And very fast delivery. We loved it. We had just moved to springfield MO and was staying at a hotel. We ordered it for lunch and there was so much good and it was very good.

Cashew bland. Bad customer service. Didn’t even get the egg drop soup.

This place was awesome in the past, but I’ve become more and more disappointed with each visit. The prices are high, but for the flavor and quality, they were worth it in the past. The lemon chicken was my favorite, but they are taking shortcuts when they run out of ingredients. I called to ask if they changed the recipe and I was told they ran out of lemon juice, so the added more vinegar. The lemon sauce was inedible. When I tried the orange chicken, someone must have thought it was a good idea to fry the orange peels with the chicken, leaving a very bitter burnt flavor to the dish. When I explained my disappointment with the lemon chicken, I felt as if the person I was speaking to didn’t care. Given the circumstances, I feel it would have been appropriate to apologize and offer a replacement of the chicken and sauce. I didn’t even receive an apology. At least the girl didn’t lie or give a ridiculous excuse. I do appreciate honesty. When I first started going to Rice House, I was always greeted by an adult woman who was a delight to talk to. We would joke and banter while I ordered and waited for my food. She was very generous and made sure all of the customers were beyond happy. Now, there are a couple of kids who don’t yet understand what customer service is. When I’m there, my observation has been, once customers have placed and paid for their orders, they are ignored.
