This place doesn’t seem to be any ordinary Chinese restaurant as it offers an XXL portion(at least for me) for a $ 10 dinner plate. I was literally spoilt with choices when browsing through its menu. The quality of food is slightly above average for a Chinese restaurant like its tier. The only cons I can say was its super tortoise-like slow and poor customer service which doesn’t makes you wanna stay there longer. The grandma waitress loves to «shoo» customers away even during downtimes. Again, it’s hard for them to improve and recognize this flaw since they do continue to have heavy incoming traffic for their pick-ups anyway.

Smelled like bleach when you first walk it. Ordered a #16 chicken with broccoli, chicken fingers and pork fried rice. Rice was edible but the chicken with broccoli tastes like cough syrup. Ick. The chicken fingers were dry and the breading was too sweet. Not eating here again.

Love eating here they have the best food in particular. The only place I know that doesn’t need extra soy sauce in rice or losing mein

Do not ever believe negative reviews. This is the best place to get Chinese food in Springfield. I moved to LA and have to get it every time i come home!

Great value as you get a ton of food in the combos. It is good but not the absolute best in the area.

Generous helping of food. The house fried rice is good. The chicken wings is to die for. Average taste of food. Moderately priced. will come back to this chinese restaurant

Taste just like any other chinese food restaurant. Good part is the portions are big. Always ordered their chicken fingers and dumplings. They will give you so much your bag will over flow.

I have eaten here countless times over the years and I used to love their food. But I can’t say that anymore especially not recently. I ordered there just last night through delivery express and I was so disappointed eating my food. I ordered the pu pu platter with chicken fingers, veggie lo mein, crab Rangoon and extra duck sauce. My veggie lo mein had no veggies in it. A few pieces of broccoli and what looked like the skin of a green onion. Seriously? My crab Rangoon had no crab. It was literally fried cream cheese. And this is how it is all the time, not even bother to put at least imitation crab meat in there. On top of that it’s so bland. There’s absolutely no seasoning apart from the taste of it being fried in oil. The chicken wings were okay but tough to bite into. My beef teriyaki was burned on the edges, but luckily I happen to like mine that way. The chicken fingers were pathetic. It was a half inch in diameter strip of chicken surrounded by another half inch thick shell of breading. Again, bland. The egg roll was fried cabbage and it was bland and overcooked. I’m so disappointed and upset I spent money on this place. The only reason I give this place two stars is because they are awesome with the duck sauce. They give you tons!

I live right by this restaurant, so its very convenient for pick up orders. We often order dinner combination meals and the portions for those meals are quite large. We typically will have leftovers as a result of this. We have not eaten in the restaurant itself, but the service at the pick up area is nice. I will say the restaurant is relatively small with only a few tables available. Otherwise, this is a great take-out restaurant.

Went there the other day for some lunch to go, ordered chicken fingers, and there Szechuan pork and cabbage soup, picked the food up and brought it home, the chicken fingers were ice cold, and hard as rocks, they had to be old, or pre-cooked, I couldn’t even eat them, now the soup, it was hot, but the vegetables, were raw and to hard to eat, its like they threw the vegetables in the broth without cooking them, do yourself a favor and skip this place, there are plenty of better Chinese restaurants around, 2 stars is being generous.

I called to order chicken lo main a small ate for $ 5.50 to be delivered and was given a different number, I reached a different company that was delivering for them and was told they had an $ 8 minimum so I added an egg roll for $ 2.50. after that I was told the total which was $ 15.50 because deliver was $ 3.50 plus $ 1 card charge plus tip and tax. I’ll rather drive 1 min to restaurant and save $ 10

If you have a bottomless pit for a stomach, also known as an iron gut then this place is for you. For me personally I really do enjoy Chinese food. This place is awful. The food is absolutely terrible and I gave it multiple attempts. I would never recommend this place but that’s just my opinion.

Ordered today, Really not impressed. First when we were ordering over the phone. We were going to order from the lunch menu. The male who answered stated there was no lunch menu on Sundays. We called back after reading the menu again. We ordered General Ching’s Chicken with an order of Bacon Crab rangoon. Really no taste in the chicken except for the after taste which was not pleasant. There was no spice to it at all. A small portion of rice, the chicken finger which came with the meal was hard. The Bacon Crab rangoon, really couldn’t tell if bacon was in there. The final reason which got me was just now, I opened up a fortune cookie to eat and it was stale. Maybe it is a hit or miss kinda place, but I sure didn’t enjoy the meal today.

Solid Chinese American food. The fried wings here are the size of turkey wings and wonderfully seasoned really very delicious. The portions are quite large and the price point more than moderate and I do like that they have a small portion menu just enough to snack. This is a good stop, they do an above average job when compared to the many other options in the area.

My first impression to wong wok was their great portions and pretty quick to take your order. when I got to know their dishs such as chicken fingers, chicken wings, crab rangoons, egg rolls, shrimps all fried with lard, I don’t think I’ll go back.

I never want to dislike a restaurant, but with Wong Wok it’s just so very easy. The crab rangoon are not good. They have a burnt taste and, maybe I’m in the minority that prefer crab rangoon to have a sweet note, but I found these to be on the bitter side. The chicken fingers, same burnt taste, and over cooked in general. The breading crumbled as I bit into it because it was so over cooked. Their lo mein noodles are terrible, and very salty. Finally, the general tso’s was good, although I’m convince I got tangerine chicken. Whatever it was, that was actually good. I don’t think I’ll go back.

We found Wong Wok on the Unilocal app while sitting in the Boston Road parking lot of our intended destination, Joy of the Wok, which is apparently closed on Tuesdays. We ordered a variety of dishes for take out, including orange chicken, kung po chicken, beef w/vegetables, egg rolls, chicken wings, and fried dumplings. I’m sorry that I neglected to get any soup, as that’s generally one of my staples when trying a new place. Next time :) When we arrived to pick up our food, the dining room was pleasant but empty, and there was a mountain of take out orders awaiting collection. It looked like a perfectly fine and comfortable place to dine in, so I wouldn’t hesitate; lots of big booths, and they have a private parking lot. Always a bonus! As previous reviewers have mentioned, the portions are indeed massive… right down to the complimentary fried noodles that came in a bag about the size of a full-size bag of chips. Ryan sampled everything as he opened it and quickly declared Wong Wok his new favorite Chinese takeout. He repeated this many times throughout the meal, and again this morning, getting excited about the leftovers even before he asked whether there was any coffee made. His enthusiasm alone probably warrants a fourth star, and if he were writing this review, I imagine it would be an easy five. But we have different taste in food. Some things about Wong Wok I loved, others were kind of eh. The kung po and beef dishes both had a great assortment of veggies, including some really nice zucchini! Everything tasted fresh and well prepared, seasoning was great… my one complaint(actually, it’s my only complaint about anything we sampled — but it’s kind of a big one for me and the reason for the three stars) was that the sauces were heavy and starchy for my taste. I expected a thick glaze with Ryan’s orange chicken, that’s the norm for that dish and its various cousins of the battered & fried variety, but I prefer a lighter/thinner sauce on sauteed dishes. But that’s just me and it’s totally a matter of personal preference. I will say that this was the best orange chicken I’ve ever had. It seemed to be huge pieces of nothing-but-breast, rather than the sometimes dark and chewy and vaguely-identifiable-as-chicken fried wads that we’ve had at other places. There was really nice, bright orange flavor throughout that I assume came from fresh zest. High marks. The wings and dumplings were both great; lots of flavor. It’s a little out of the way for us, but we will definitely return to sample more of Wong Wok’s menu.

Firstly, I hope this review aids in your decision to choose this restaurant. I’m not from the area, so I searched Chinese food and decided on this location. I was not let down! 8.50−10.00 will get a beautiful dinner combination platter that is ENORMOUS. Wong wok certainly loads their take-home shells. It’s honestly almost double what I get back at home for the same price. The quality was also better than average Chinese restaurants, and maybe since it’s just mehhhish they compensate with quantity. Perfect for college students such as myself.

Sketch-y part of town. But… GOFORIT! This place was awesome. I was in some deep crazy way for some americanized chinese food and I read the Unilocal reviews(THANKYOUTOEVERYONE! — I really gotta compliment EVeRYONE who Unilocaled before me) and lo and behold… this place was the BOMB. Portions were OUTOFTHISWORLDHUGE. Crazy big, ya’ll. So what if everything came out at one time? I just ate and ate until I almost cried. We had sooooo much food left over, it was insane. Everything was fresh and everything that was supposed to be crunchy was. I love that. I had to disagree with anyone who put down the service. There were 2 women working, and they were working hard. They were friendly and I wanted to hug them because they were pretty attentive even tho it was busy. The only downfall was… Get a load of this… We all had the same fortune in our 3 cookies. GO to this place if you want good fast chinese food. Now I’m hungry again! dagnabit.
