This was a fantastic dinner, my wife and I started with the watermelon and feta salad. Fantastic!!! Then we had baked tile with Brussel hash and baked scallops with wild rice. Then we finished the dinner with coffee and key lime pie. Fantastic staff and great chef!!! We will definitely be back the next time we are in St. Augustine!!!

Worst dining experience in a long time. After my entire party finished eating and I still hadn’t received my food, I went in to cancel my order and they hadn’t even started making mine yet. My husband never received his espresso. My friends salad dressing was just oil and we were never brought more silver wear, as promised and had to track some down on another table. When we asked the waitress what a dip was she said«honestly, I have no idea.» Instead of sincerely apologizing, they charged us full price and made excuses about the printer and setting up for a larger group in a bit. Completely unacceptable systems in place and unacceptable food and service and we are now walk around town trying to find something for me to eat. They also never brought the check out as they said they would and then told us to come inside to pay as it would be easier for them.

Never disappointed with this place. The menu is always changing but I’ve never had a bad meal here. You need to come when there is good weather because all seating is outside in a nice garden atmosphere.

Seating for lunch(around 1:00 pm) was open and more of a take out place than full service restaurant. I had the avocado sandwich which was loaded with avocados. It was fine. The best part of the meal was the goat cheese bruchetta app. That was amazing – the goat cheese was not too strong so more of the people at the table liked it. Our service was efficient and fine(meal took about 30 minutes to come out since I think only one person was cooking). My stars are purely based on the food rather than service.

My husband and I frequent this eatery every trip to St Augustine. We enjoy the outdoor setting and garden experience. We understand that there a fee different chefs and each one plans their own menu daily. Last night we ate dinner and I ordered the filet mignon which was cooked to perfection. It came with smashed potatoes, asparagus, and a pan/mushroom gravy. It was exquisite. My husband ordered the rack of the lamb which was prepared beautifully and cooked perfectly as well, however, the wild rice had an awfully pungent vinegary flavor that was very off-putting. I will try anything, but this rice side dish had the worst aroma I’ve ever smelled from food. I asked the waitor for a dessert menu and then waited over 15 minutes for him to return and when he did he forgot the dessert menu. We just ended up getting the check and had dessert elsewhere.

Interesting place, enjoy eating outdoors in a small garden with picturesque views of old St Augustine shops & a limited view of the bay. Had breakfast Eggs Benedict with salmon, all fresh and delicious wife enjoyed her spinach frittata states best she ever had. You order inside then select your table, food is brought out. Also great spot to people watch. One could sit there all day & watch the world go by. Was there on Wednesday & we’re not rushed.

I initially was excited to find this place as I was walking through town. The atmosphere with the garden and tables is great! Getting a drink here is definitely nice but having dinner is not worth it. I ordered the shrimp over tortellini. The shrimp was not peeled but had some decent flavor. Did not expect shrimp over pasta to be anything but peeled. And especially when the meal costs 20 $ The tortellini was cooked with the shrimp on top with a little bit of cheese and basil. From what I could figure the chef just boiled the tortellini, put it in a bowl with no seasoning, or sauce. Sadly I won’t ever go back here or recommend this place.

After touring San Marco Castillo, we walked by this place’s lovely garden and it immediately caught my eye. We were in the mood for wine and small plates so we popped in here. The patio is right off the sidewalk and it boasts colorful throw pillows, seat cushions, chairs, benches — it screamed Moroccan theme. All you needed was hookah. The best part was the wood burning fire pit they had set up. It was pretty chilly that day so we sat right next to it.(FYI: there’s indoor seating but there are only two small tables inside.) Our waiter greeted us, took our drink order and then informed us dinner service starts at 6, it was 5. We didn’t want to wait an hour so we just had our drinks and enjoyed the ambiance and warmth. I had the Cabernet and my boyfriend had the red sangria. Both were delicious. Only problem was that the sangria was really sweet. We had to ask for ice to break up the sweetness. It tasted like they added syrup. Same with the white sangria, which had frozen pineapple in it, which unfortunately hadn’t softened up yet. Aside from that, good service and chill ambiance. Wish I got to try to food.

This evening my husband and I wandered and came upon an enchanting little outdoor area, beautifully lit, with potbellied stoves for warmth. The fellow posted outside lured us in with the notion that the menu changes daily, so everything is fresh as can be. It is, he regaled us, a Farm to Table restaurant. We were the only customers and had his full attention while dining With a pitcher of fresh blueberry and strawberry laden sangria to start, we ordered off the menu board our waiter, Ben, brought to our table. He was charming and affable; service throughout the meal was suburb. We both started with the Whole Garden salad. Chock full of everything: avocado, peppers and delicately sliced cucumbers, it was replete with veggies and came with a delightful vinaigrette. Between courses, there appeared a complimentary platter of bread wedges with balsamic and herb dipping sauce with a bowl of various types of olives. It was generously appointed and looked like an entire appetizer in and of itself. Nice touch! For dinner, I ordered the lemon and dill salmon. It was decent. My husband had the ribeye and was stated the same if his. Our bill was $ 134, far more than anywhere else during our two week vacation in St. Augustine. One caveat: our bill just arrived and it turns out our pitcher of sangria was $ 48! We spoke with the owner, who stated the waiter told her we requested a special bottle of wine. When in fact, our waiter had asked if Pinot noir was acceptable, and we concurred. She then told us she would speak with him and took her leave of us. He was sent back out like a scapegoat to apologize and say that’s the way it was. All in all, we feel fleeced and are sorry we chose to dine at the Gourmet Cup. Nearly every night, we order a pitcher of sangria where available and resent being overcharged and then summarily dismissed by the owner. We would not dine here again and suggest you not either. There are plenty of aboveboard restaurants in the area, I’m sorry we didn’t chose one.

The owner has to get out of the way and let her staff and kitchen do their thing without her micromanaging. Our fish was overcooked. No one else was there. Other waiter banged on tables to grab our waitresses attention, cajoling her to do clean up work at the ends of the night. Way over priced. Two bottles of wine, two entrees, and dessert for $ 170? Not worth it.

Strange establishment, other reviews back that up as well. No menu for reference, only a dry erase board that servers must lug around the dining area and share between tables. Long wait for food. Tables aren’t very comfy and the wait for the food was considerable. For the price I would’ve enjoyed a bigger portion and amped flavor. My steak was cooked to perfection but the vegetable ratatouille was lacking. Also would recommend getting cloth napkins instead of brown cheap paper towels. Wouldn’t recommend as there are too many other places that provide quality food consistent with price and organized service located in Saint Augustine.

After reading some of the reviews I decided to post. It is hard to review a place who’s menu changes daily but it is clear there is a lack of consistency which shouldn’t occur in $$$ restaurant. Our waitress was new, which is fine, everyone starts somewhere but here are the other things that threw me. 1. No proper napkins. They were bathroom paper towels. Those brown trifold ones. It could be charming, but not in this $$$ restaurant. 2. No menus. They used hand written blackboards shuffling them from table to table. I can’t imagine that it takes more than 20 minutes to print up 20 menus daily, which can be recycled. 3. The food… I have to say that I was REALLY disappointed. My husband wanted his filet medium and it came out well done. The«white truffle risotto» was a scoop of white rice with zero truffle flavor(or any flavor). His mahi was overcooked, sadly, and stuffed with crab and way over salted. My ahi tuna was seared properly but was later on top of a ton of seaweed salad. So why the two stars? The ambiance was really nice. I really, REALLY wanted to like this place and again, I didn’t know if I could really review it based off the one nights menu but I had to when another couple sitting next to us also expressed their disappointment. At more than $ 25/plate, a filet should be properly prepared, always. Like other reviewers, we did tell our waitress of the issue and she did offer to bring another steak but at the completion of our meal to which we declined.

This place is superb for outdoor branching(as they really don’t have any real indoor seating). It quite literally is a hut adorned with knock knacks and a chalk menu that is scribbled on the wall. However, what the lack in showmanship is made up for with the quality of food. Firstly, an order of chips and salsa stuffed into an avocado was ordered. Although I do not like avocados, this dish looked amazing. I ended up deciding on the Mexican scrambled eggs with home fries and was not disappointed. They came with all the accoutrements that you would think: salsa, sour cream, cheese, etc. What made this great was the chorizo. It was cooked perfectly. As well, the service was superb. They quickly brought us a bowl of water for our dog, and we’re very accommodating. I highly recommend this for lunch spot in nice weather!

We were looking for a vegetarian restaurant and came across this one — the ambience was awesome, all the tables were in a beautiful flower garden, the food tasted great as well — the chef actually customized the dish and made it vegetarian for us… made for a great night!
