Star Nails

DO NOT GO HERE! It was literally the WORST experience I’ve ever had at any sort of salon. My 2 friends and I set up appointments for 3:15. We arrived at 3:10 and were greeted by an employee who appeared to still be intoxicated from the night before (or on drugs). I confirmed that she wasn’t the only one working, as there were 3 of us. We were told that 2 others were ‘on their way’ (the owner and owner’s husband). I advised her that we were on a time crunch. The place is in definite need of updating. We sat down in our chairs and the 1 employee started on my friend’s pedicure. She made my friend bleed twice. At approximately 3:50 the owner’s husband showed up. He started on my other friend. The female employee was ridiculous and being rude to my friends. She was very inappropriate in commenting on our feet out loud. She also told us about her daughter’s hermaphrodite boyfriend. She also appeared to have no clue what she was doing. They FINALLY finished our pedis. We all put our feet under the fans and subsequently were told they were dry. Well all got him and had to peel our socks out of our polish. I had to go somewhere else the next day to get it fixed. It was unbelievably terrible. Oh… and the owner never showed up for our appointment.

A clean place and they were very accomodating when my girlfriend and I arrived early for our appointment. I ended up with the owner and to be honest, she was TOO chatty. She kept asking about how I like the place, if I would tell other people to come there, and so on and so on and so on. I don’t mind an occasional question or remark, but it was just too much. Our pedicures were fine, but the manicures were just ok.
Not a bad option, but I am still on the hunt for the right nail salon in St. Cloud. Not crazy expensive, clean, normal folks working there who are polite and just let me be.

I went to this business because it had a couple of reviews which were favorable and the place I usually go to couldn’t get me in for a ½ an hour. Big mistake as I had to wait closer to an hour to get my pedicure and they only had a few ladies in there at the time. Also, they quoted me $ 20.00 on the phone and when it came time to pay no one seemed to know what I was talking about and besides the nail polish didn’t hold up very long:(.

Very clean salon, with great service. They took lots of time and paid attention to detail. A lot of places speed through and do a sloppy job, but this place was really making sure they got it right. My mom and I both got regular pedicures and shellac manicures for an upcoming wedding and they look great. Really friendly as well, plus lots of color selections for the shellac nails. I would highly recommend and we are definitely going back.
