We fell for the hype, but had a disappointing experience. The service, atmosphere, and view were good. The house salad and vinaigrette dressing were very good. The complimentary sour dough bread was unusually sour and bitter and the butter spread was bland. Bread crumbs were not scraped from the table… unusual for an «upscale» restaurant. The potato soup was bland. The Flatiron and NY Strip steaks we ordered«medium» were served well done, dry, and tasteless. It should have been a warning that the NY Strip was served with steak sauce… a stunt used by rural bars as a cover up. And all of this for $ 100 for two. I’ll stick with Chuck-O-Rama, better food for a fourth of the cost.

This place is just what St. George needed. It isn’t just dinner, it’s an experience. That’s what makes Cliffside stand out. For starters, I have tried the watermelon salad special, the potato soup and the fries. For entrees, salmon, braised short rib special, fried chicken and pear cheese pasta. They have delicious wine and their house lemonade is tasty. Keep it up, Cliffside!

Friendly staff! Quality food is worth the price. The chilli salmon was incredible! Don’t forget to order your lemon lime aide!(Which is to die for) we ate here on a Friday night and came back the next day! We will definitely come back the next time we’re in St. George!

Enjoyed a great lunch on the patio. I have visited this restaurant several times(5+) including a work Christmas Party. The menu is diverse, but offerings are limited to one or two choices in the same food family. My experiences with fine dining are limited. I have however dined 5 star on more than one ocassion. This place is more than a view. The food is prepared with the highest of care and quality. The ambiance is excellent. Out of town visitors should choose evening seating for the most dramatic views. Pre-party in your adjacent room or take a cab. The beer and wine prices preclude a long leisurely evening knocking back micros and reviewing the day’s stumbles in Zion. Early Lunch on the patio in the summer may require a hat or sunscreen. Patio is covered, but some tables will be in the sun. Go light with the pork sandwich or the fish tacos. The chef is Cordon Bleu trained. You won’t be sorry.

So So So good. I would have totally eaten crappy food for this view but food and service were amazing too. Kari was an attentive and friendly server Kids got pasta and quesadilla. We got fantastic(though huge amount) of Parmesan fries with delicious«cliff side» sauce. Also had butternut squash soup and chop salad for starters. Strip steak was nicely done and the macadamia crusted cod over coconut rice was fantastic. Beer was good as well as Idaho Reisling. A must do in the area and the best meal we’ve had so far on day 7 of a 21 day trip. It will be hard to beat this meal & experience. FANTASTIC!

What a great place to celebrate our anniversary! The view was breathtaking, the food was amazing and the staff was great! We made reservations and were promptly seated when we arrived. We had a window seat with an amazing view of down town St. George and all the way out towards Zion, Kolob and Pine Valley Mountain. The lemon-limade was refreshing. Everything we ordered was cooked to perfection! The service was wonderful! We definitely recommend Cliffside Restaurant!

Had a really good time at cliffside! Make reservations! We made them for 8 and waited about 15 mins to be sat. Our server Amber, mentioned it was her second day but she was so good I almost don’t believe her ;) We order an app of beef spring rolls. First they came out in under 4 mins — no kidding. They tasted awesome and very stuffed very full although there were only two cut in half. The presentation was nice. 9 $ I ordered the bone in pork chop with sweet potato wedges and seasonal veg which was green beans but Amber offered to switch it out to brocollini :) it was FABBBB. The pork was tender and cooked perfect. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the mango sauce that came with it but no big deal. The portion of pork was good for the 26 $. My boyfriend got the flatiron with fingerling potatoes and again the green bean — broccolini swap. It was cooked perfect but the size was really small for 23 $ :/ We also got some bread late, no one realized we didn’t yet have any. It was ok. My only major con would be how fast everything was. I kinda felt rushed. Our main meals took about ten mins to come out. While normally this would be amazing, when at a nice restaurant like cliffside I somewhat wanted to take our time and enjoy the view. We were in and out in less than an hour. Minor complaint thought because I’d rather have fast service than god awful slow one! Will be returning on special occasions :)

First, the view. Astounding and in all directions! Our food was delicious. The wedge salad was delightful, homemade blue cheese dressing and a lightly pickled red onion slaw. My pork chop was huge, perfectly prepared and deliciously seasoned. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his chicken fried chicken. And the kids enjoyed their Mac n cheese and the cheeseburger(a smaller version of the adult burger, absolutely amazing) which came with a complimentary ice cream for dessert. A great meal at a reasonable price.

Obviously an amazing view of the city. Great menu and patio outside! Modern looking, sharp, and clean. Friendly quick host, solid waitstaff and delicious food! They have a nice local beer selection too. Fair prices for high quality entrees! One cool and odd thing… they played 5 songs off my favorite play list! So weird. Anyway– Don’t pass this place by if your in the area, absolutely recommend!!!

Went here with my girlfriends parents as they are here visiting. I ordered the cliff side burger and it was awesome. I really liked the plate presentation as my fries came in a little frying basket. The service was good. I would definitely come back here to eat. Good food with a perfect view of st George. I would definitely recommend coming during the sunset. Reservations were easy to get even on a busy weekend. I recommend it to everyone.

I really enjoyed this place. The views are gorgeous overlooking the city of St. George. The menu had a good variety and I chose the Mahi-mahi. It was very flavorful. The waitress was friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the reasonable price on the glass of wine as well. I will definitely come back.

Definitely make reservations! So many people wanted to get in and couldn’t. We went for my mom and dad’s anniversary The food was GREAT. So good. I loved my burger and fries. The view from the bluff was beautiful. We went right at sunset so we could both the city while light and then the beautiful sunset as the sun went down. It was a wonderful experience! Great place for romantic meals out.

The finest cheeseburger I can remember eating. Anywhere/any time /in any form– This is better than Bobby Flay’s famous cheeseburger at Mesa Grill, Las Vegas,(Caesar’s Palace) a coveted menu item there. It is perfect. Meat: tasty /not greasy /no gristle Cheese: white sharp cheddar/works brilliantly Bun: tastes home made/fresh /flavorful Onion strings: perfection/not greasy /delicious Bacon: I had on the side/I don’t eat much so… Not knowledgable on such/it was unnecessary for the burger’s overall recipe /taste Construction: burger is made well — no sliding around/no blood /grease /sauce mess puddle on the plate Dipping sauce: exotic and perfect for this burger // Includes fried scallions /barbecue sauce and??? I’m saddened to leave St. George behind as I know that I cannot replicate this cheeseburger anywhere in Colorado, or really in California for that matter. Sorry for no photo. My phone’s memory was full.

We we were in the area this summer to hike Zion. Food looked appealing and the view beautiful so we tried it. It was in the mid to upper 90’s outside, too hot for me to eat, so we asked to sit inside. We were seated kind of off to the side, not much of a view, in an almost empty restaurant for dinner, which was disappointing. We could’ve asked for a better table, but we were pretty wiped out after a day of hiking and just settled to not move. If I were to come again, I’d ask to move :) Boyfriend ordered the house burger with fries and I ordered the fried chicken dinner. Both were delicious and hefty amounts. It was the best food we had in St. George. Being nit picky, we would’ve liked the complimentary bread to come out soon after we were seated rather than soon before we received our entrees. It seemed freshly baked, but timing is everything. The breading on my chicken was a bit thick i.e. too much flour and egg. Also, I usually get cold easily, but the inside of the restaurant felt particularly freezing. Maybe it’s just me. Otherwise, staff were nice and attentive. Skip all the fast food in St. George and eat real food at Cliffside.

This restaurant has the most amazing views of the city and very friendly staff. I ordered the Turkey bacon melt and was blown away at how delicious it was!!! The sandwich was toasted and had cranberries inside it that made the turkey and bacon pop perfectly. I wasn’t a big fan of the house lemon limeade; it was too tart for my taste. The only real drawback was it took an hour for the food to come but it was definitely worth the wait and if I’m ever in the area again I will be back!

Since I was staying at the hotel I decided to grab food at the Cliffside Restaurant. I ordered to go around 8:50pm since they closed at 9pm and I didn’t want to be that last douche that walks in super late and dines in. Price wise I thought everything was reasonable. Most entrees were in the $ 15 – 20 range and from the Unilocal pictures they all looked appetizing. I ordered the burger and fried chicken. The burger was really good! Well done, meat wasn’t tough, it was a good size and tasted great. The fries that came with it were good as well, it was kind of like a garlic parmesan sort of seasoning. The fry sauce that came along with it was good as well. Sort of similar to thousand island dressing. The fried chicken I ordered was a little bit overcooked in some parts as the breading was a little burnt. The two pieces that came with it were pretty big and it was a good ratio of meat and breading. It came served on top of mashed potatoes which were nothing special, but nothing to complain about. The broccoli served with it was delicious. Not steamed, but somewhat grilled. Lots of flavor and not salty at all. The gravy that came along with it was a little odd. It was on the thin side, not really traditional country gravy, this had a hint of something else. maybe wine? Since I didn’t eat at the restaurant I can’t really chime in on the whole dining experience other than the outdoor patio and the view. The view is really spectacular as you can see all of St. George, really I don’t know if there’s a better view in the city to eat at.

What a lovely, lovely restaurant! I might be slightly bias because we came here on July 4th and it was an incredible experience. My husband made a reservation for us to be seated outside on their patio(not a huge area), but it has an amazing view. And yes, you guessed it. We could see all the fireworks going on beneath us. Best part was, there was a fireworks show right behind us as well. I’ve never been so close to the fireworks show, and it was definitely the best I’ve seen by far. The restaurant was also smart to turn off the lights in the patio area for the fireworks show. The entire restaurant was very nice– sort of upscale but casual at the same time — perfect ambiance for a nice dinner without dressing up. The food here was also very good, and priced very reasonably. Our order that day consist of: Starters: Coconut crusted shrimp($ 10) Cliffside Steak and Hash($ 24) Chili-Glazed Salmon($ 19.5) Drinks: Lemon-limeade/berry-limeade(very tart…) My salmon was perfectly cooked, meaning not overcooked, and the flavor was very good. My husband’s steak and hash was amazing as well. I’m pretty sure there was bacon in the potatoes. I couldn’t stop poking at the potatoes. The appetizer they brought out was also delicious and nicely presented, and last but not least– they gave you cornbread on the side. The cornbread was sooooooooo good and warm(one you put the butter inside, it just melted). I was not intending to eat the whole thing so I could save room for the entrée, but I ended up devouring it. Glad they only gave one per guest, or I’d be full off of just cornbread! Food + view + service = 5 star experience
