I made arrangements with Heideman Hughes Mortuary to have my brother cremated. Seven days later I inquired and they told me they were waiting for the state to sign off for him to be cremated. On the eighth day after his death they called to say the death certificate had not been signed. I then had to call Dixie Regional Hospital regarding signing of the death certificate. After repeated angry phone calls by myself it was signed within half an hour. I still had to wait for the state to sign off. I did not have his remains in time for his memorial service. Next the mortuary told me the obituary was in the paper. It never appeared. When I called to ask I was told it would appear the following Saturday. Did it, of course not. Bottom line don’t die in Dixie Regional Hospital or use Heideman Hughes mortuary

This place is so friendly and courteous when it comes to one of the hardest times in people’s lives. The staff is very compassionate and gets things moving and done quick. You’ll be glad you got your funeral arrangements done here!
