Awesome service at the bar food was what you would expect from a chain. Service was above average

Steaks are great! They are friendly and the restaurant is clean. They are speedy, and you don’t have to wait long if you call ahead. I love their homemade salad dressing.

The best thing I can say about this place is our server was very good. She tried to make things right for us after getting steaks that were not cooked correctly. My husband ordered a KC strip med rare and it came very rare, I ordered the filet med well and the first time it came it was very well done, dried out. Our server had another cooked for me and it came back undercooked. I ended up taking my steak home and cooking it myself. Cooks do not know how to cook steak. We also ordered the cactus blossom, it was so greasy that the dish it was in had close to an Inch of grease in the bottom of it. Either the oil was not hot enough or they didn’t drain it at all or maybe a little of both. When we got home I went to their online site and sent complaint, the manager called me the same night. After I told him about everything he told me he was going to send me a coupon for dinner for two, $ 30. I don’t know if he doesn’t realize the prices on his own menu or what but we had just spent $ 60 on dinner for two with one appetizer. Maybe we can get burgers for $ 30? Better than nothing but not sure I even want to go back there to use the coupon. I would rather pay for good food than get bad food for free.

Too long of a wait. The place is always packed. I don’t get it. Food was okay. Don’t remember anything over the top great about it.

Always great food and portions are nice sized for the money! Wait staff is always good and friendly!

The staff is extremely rude, the «world famous» ribs are tough, dry and chewy and you can get a MUCH better steak anywhere else in town. I don’t know why people like this place so much, it is not a good place to eat.

A good solid chain location in St. Joe. Restaurant was packed on a Tuesday night. Waitress was super friendly and started out on point… after our meals arrived we didn’t see her again. Had to flag down random servers to help refill drinks, bring a to go cup, and bring our check and to finally take our payment!

We ate here recently to celebrate our daughter’s birthday, they really made it fun for her! Our waiter was on top of everything, we never wanted for anything! I had the beef tips which were delicious! We all left with full bellies and a warm feeling!

Great food and atmosphere. I had the 6oz filet with mashed potatoes (added cheese and bacon bits) and French fries. The waiter kept the excellent rolls coming. Snacking on peanuts while waiting is always great. I always stop here when I travel to St. Joseph.

I don’t know what’s happened with the Texas Road House in St. Joseph.
When it first opened the service and food were great. But not so much any more.
We get a lot of take out from here. Well we used to until several months ago. We got a Pulled Pork sandwich. When we got home we found it wasn’t really so much a Pulled Pork sandwich as it was a few strands of dried pork with two giant greasy chunks of pork. Completely inedible. Or rather unappetizing. We couldn’t eat it. We called and spoke to a manager who went to the kitchen and verified the Pulled Pork wasn’t up to their standards. Great. He believed us. I hate calling into complain but I hate putting up with bad service/​food more. The manager promised to send us coupons for two free meals. But never sent them. So we didn’t patronize TRH for 6 months.
Well we were tired of everything else and decided to try a dine in dinner. Our steaks weren’t cooked well and the meat (ribeye) was gristly. I know ribeyes are high fat cuts of meat but if cooked right that fat melts. And you don’t have to spit out hard gristle.
Bringing us to tonight. We got the Pulled Pork dinner and extra rolls. The girl (not putting her name here) assured me everything was in the bag. Including butter and peanuts (nice). But when we got home, no butter.
This has happened a lot, not every time but often enough that it sticks in your memory. Butter this time. Zesty sauce on the burgers. Or cheese on the burgers.
We’re just tired of it and are not likely to go back anytime soon.
How hard is it to fill an order correctly and double check that it’s done right? And for the record TRH isn’t the only St Joe restaurant with this problem.

Awesome, all the way around. Good was super fast. They cut me a custom steak, and cooked it to perfection. Environment is outstanding, really vibrant and fun, they even danced. Our waitress was very attentive and a pleasure to be around, oh and the margaritas are AMAZING!!!

The food is good, not outstanding. They advertise «Fall off the bone ribs».
Anyone who knows BBQ, knows that «Fall off the bone ribs» are way overdone.
My usual choice is their Pulled Pork sandwich, is very good and fairly large.

If you can stand the country music you can’t go wrong with anything on this menu. Big portions and amazing Texas style chilli!!!

The wait staff was very friendly. I am a people watcher, and it seemed like some of the male employees were paid to stand around and act like cowboys. It was hilarious.
The food was fast, hot and well prepared. The Rattlesnake Bites are a delight.
The perfect stop after a 2000 miles road-​trip from Idaho.
If we are in the area, we will go again.

I was very disappointed with the service. I ordered a $ 20 rib eye I ordered it well done it came out soaked in blood so I did send it back I didn’t get my food back until long after everyone else was done and when it did come back it was dried out. When I told the manger she did nothing to rectify the situation.

Today’s trip to the Texas Roadhouse was the first time I had a relatively positive food experience. In the past I had bad experiences from being served a lettuce core salad, a cold, salty road kill, and forgotten sides. Today’s service was quick and our waiter was awesome. However, my medium rare KC strip was cooked to a medium and was heavy on the salt. Fried pickles were great even if I was the only one eating them! My main complaint would be that the women’s bathroom was a mess when I went in there. There was a tampon wrapper on the floor as well as toilet paper all over. Then at the sink it was covered in water and the trash was overflowing. Looking so unclean made me cringe to think that the two waitresses coming out of there may be handling my food…

We’ve eaten there several times never disappointed in either steaks or prime rib. Great rolls to start the meal and a baked sweet potatoes are really good to. Service good whether we’ve sat at the bar or in a table. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is I’ve had better steaks at places like Herford House in KC but paid for it too:)

Maybe it’s just me, but the atmosphere of this place is really lacking. There was a boisterous birthday celebration while we were trying to eat, and some poor fool got humiliated by being forced to sit on a horse’s saddle. Then I guess the servers all got bored and decided to line dance in the aisles. I certainly hope they are paid well for that. How embarassing for them. The whole spectacle of that evening was enough to ruin any food. We won’t be back.

Who doesn’t love Texas Roadhouse?! Their bread and butter is beyond amazing. I’ve been going to this particular TR every Monday for the past 8 months or so (don’t judge! There’s not a lot of good food option in St. Joe, lol), and their staff is always super friendly. I typically order their filet medallions and they’re always super tasty! While there, also try their frozen strawberry margarita. I don’t know what they put in it but it goes down super easy: P

This is my second time at Texas Roadhouse (first time was in Modesto) and it still never fails to provide great food and customer service. The free bread and butter they give you in the beginning is amazing. it’s nice and hot! And I love how you can throw peanuts on the ground. Fun atmosphere. they have a dance every 30 minutes and it seems like a popular place for birthdays.
Food is good and very filling.
