Well, the beer was cold when we finally got it. It seems the bartender was not on the ball as we watched our waiter ask him again and again for our beer. We were the only customers there so… The food was decent but a tad overpriced. Bread pudding? Served cold and dry. A so so experience all in all, but the walleye Reuben was delicious!

The good is hit or miss, but the alcohol is fantastic.

Good location. Nice patio(although too hot to sit out for very long). Good pub atmosphere. Very good Cajun catfish tacos. I know, at an Irish pub??? But they were recommended by Katie, our server. Katie was pleasant, helpful, and very good. The Reuben egg rolls were excellent too.

Went with girlfriends on Friday night and we were surprise at it’s decent interior. The place is dark — typical pub but a lot quieter. A man was singing but no one seems care. We had a corner table and quickly decided to get some desserts. We ordered Chocolate Fudge and Bailey’s Crème Brulee. Both desserts tasted SOGOOD. They weren’t overly sweet like the average dessert. This has exceeded our expectation. I believe I will return just for the dessert. It took our waitress a while to take our order despite the restaurant was pretty empty and quiet. Throughout the night she only came to our table two to three time, no drink refill. Did I mention we spent three hours there? Overall a nice place to chill with friends or family. I am looking to return for a date night with my husband.

The place is quiet tonight. I ordered the Walleye and chips. It was really good. This is really convenient being connected to the hotel.

I went there yesterday for lunch. Not bad fish and chips(chips a bit soggy though) big, well cooked pieces of fish. The major problem was the service. Very slow! Also, the hostess was rude when she seated us. Won’t be back for business lunch. Maybe for a pint.

I went here last week and had no complaints. Food wasn’t spectacular, but decent, and not crowded. This morning I went and sat for literally ten minutes after being seated and no server ever showed up. Left and went to Perkins. 2 stars since last week didn’t suck.

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel-attached restaurant. In fact, so pleasantly surprised, we came here multiple times and I just forgot to check in! We checked out the place on Friday evening after a family deal left us with nothing to do by about 9pm. You can’t exactly go for a stroll when it’s negative 9 degrees outside. The beer selection was decent and the waitress was helpful in selecting. She even brought me a sample shooter to taste! The rest of the party got drinks with harder liquor and they all seemed to enjoy. We shared some chips and snacks. We had lunch here the following day, or those of us that couldn’t partake in a free lunch earlier(where everything had milk/dairy in it) had lunch here. Namely, me. I had a burger with bacon on it. It was quite good, considering it’s, again, a hotel restaurant and it’s Irish, maybe. We returned here a third time for a late snack this same night. Everyone got some sort of hot beverage … teas, cocoas, etc., and we shared a plate of the sweet potato fries with maple syrup. What a simple notion but a brilliant one! The saltiness of the fries mixed with the sugary sweet maple delight was a fantastic late night snack. I’m so glad we got it.

Really good food. Really slow on the weekends for some reason. Location is tough to find but if you’re staying at the hotel it’s a no-brainer. I was surprised how good the food is. There are quite a few really good places to eat within a 5-minute drive of Kips. I would guess it’s just slower due to the location but don’t let that stop you from trying it. the food and service were both very good. It was good enough that I’ll go back if I’m in the area again.

In all fairness, this should be 3.5 stars. But given the options it is closer to a 4 than to a 3. Tried only the appetizers… The fried calamari was surprisingly good, as was the warm goat cheese. The mini Reubens were pretty nice, and the Irish spring rolls disappointing. I’ll come to try some more.

Half Reuben with cup of french onion soup. Probably one of the best I’ve had. And the bartender Allison was really informative on local hot spots, since I’m only in town for 1 week.

It’s an OK place with good service and a good selection of whiskies but there’s the food. I’m sure it is prepared perfectly but, as it turns out, Irish food is boring and tasteless to me. I had the corned beef and cabbage which was(no surprise) boring and tasteless. The restaurant is quite nice but I just can’t seem to see the attraction in Irish food — whiskey yes, food no.

I ate here tonight with my husband and adult son. Son had the corned beef and cabbage. Said it was excellent. Husband had the bacon cheeseburger. Said it was delicious. I had the curry chicken, pretty good, but wished I had tried something else like they had. Anyway, busy Friday night… Service was excellent and all three meals came hot, which is important to me. Lukewarm fries just don’t cut it. Husband said they were some of the most perfect fries he’s had. Beers were good, although glasses were a bit on the small side. Overall, we would go again.

My first time at Kips was for happy hour, around 5 or 6 in the evening. My friends and I ordered almost every appetizer on the menu, to snack and share. Everything except the sliders was fantastic! Service was snappy and pleasant, even though the place was pretty busy. We sat on the patio in the comfy lounge area, and it was fun. Added bonus — the place is right around the corner from my office, and within just a few miles of home! The second time I visited was with a group of coworkers for lunch, and it was the exact opposite. The food was disappointing that time. Also, even though the restaurant was dead, service was incredibly slow. It seems that they didn’t have any actual servers on staff at the time, and had their management staff, in full suits, bringing our drinks and food out at a snails pace. A few of the coworkers mentioned they had this same problem before at lunchtime.

We ordered breakfast room-service and it was managed through Kips. We had an American breakfast, eggs, bacon, hash browns, and pancakes. The eggs were to order and we ordered them scrambled which is a mistake since this means eggs from a carton. The bacon was tasty as were the hash browns. The pancakes were very good

Near as I can tell, there might be food here. But it has taken about 40 min for it to arrive. Soup, salad and sandwiches. *Update — it’s here! Tasty but my afternoon schedule is now trashed. At least the wifi is solid. If you have time, check it out.

To say that Kips is out of the way is an understatement. To say that it’s worth the effort to find is also an understatement. I tried the Irish spring rolls as an appetizer. They were incredible. I moved on to the bangers and mash. It was truly delightful. The food was high quality and really a bargain. We sat outside to enjoy the patio, which was ample. The hostess told me that they make a point to put the smokers at one end of the patio and the non-smokers at the other end. Smart! The staff was especially friendly and responsive. There were no mistakes and we didn’t get forgotten about. We had a great time!

Sorry, but I don’t know why this place is so popular. I came here to place a take out order because I was staying at the Marriott and there’s nowhere else to eat. It was around 7:30 and it was PACKED. I ordered the short rib sandwich and it was super disappointing. There was barely any meat and was falling apart and cost $ 13! The sweet potato fries were pretty good though. It came with a side of what I thought was au jus and ended up being syrup! I’m going to assume it was for the fries, but yeah, I dipped my sandwich in it and gagged lol. +1 star because the hostess was super nice.
