First of all, if you find yourself here for happy hour, which goes until 6.30 Monday-Thursday(love that extra half hour), either give yourself plenty of time beforehand or make a reservation because it gets packed! They have a great happy hour menu, with a range of appetizers $ 3.99-$ 5.99(all looked tasty) and drink specials, such as $ 1 off glasses of wine. The pretzels are delish, I looooved the cheese sauce and spicy mustard(it’ll clear ya right out), and the margarita flat bread was quite tasty as well. I have never been disappointed by the service either, except when you are waiting for a table when it appears that there are several ready ones available(we just wanted to make 6.30 happy hour!) Regardless, this is probably one of my favorite happy hours at West End, Coopers is always a solid choice.

I’m Irish and so I always enjoy a pint at an Irish-themed bar. I like Cooper’s because it’s very spacious, the service is usually pretty good, and the menu has a good variety of entrees and appetizers. As a rule, I always order the pub pretzels and at least once per visit put too much of the spicy mustard on a pretzel. This results in a flattering state of watering eyes and coughing.

Cooper is a decent pub located in the West End. We stopped there after seeing a movie to have dinner with my in laws. It was a pretty good place for that. It’s not the kind of place I would go out of my way to visit; but if you need a respite from shopping or just saw a movie it’s not bad.

Wyatt provided flawless service yesterday. My company hosted a luncheon meeting that lasted a few hours. Wyatt did a fantastic job handling the large party by himself. He was attentive, professional, and polite. Great job! Plus the food at Cooper is always spot on. Love the quinoa salad with salmon.

5 star brunch, haven’t been too impressed with other food. I come here for brunch on Saturdays. I have liked everything I’ve tried: Benedict hash, salmon hash, big bacon. My buddy really likes the breakfast burger. But the best part is the 2−4−1 bloodies. They make them fresh everyday(I think) and you can get 2 of them for like 4 bucks! Delicious, spicy, slightly different each time I come. Overall, I recommend the brunch, otherwise so-so.

Slow service, too noisy, they do have a small restaurant inside, ok food, lot of beer options, outdoor seating during summer are good

Went here for brunch and it was pretty good! No waiting, we got seated right away. Happy hour is from 11 — 6 on weekends the beer was pretty cheap! I got the corned beef hash which was delicious and salty and everything I needed for a hangover cure. My boyfriend got the Irish breakfast which seemed pretty authentic with it’s black pudding and white pudding. Neither of which are my thing, but I tried both and they were pretty tasty.

I had the lucy juicy bison burger. It was somewhat dry buy tasty. The server did not ask me how I wanted it cooked. Perhaps buffalo is always dry? The burger and fries with an ice tea was $ 22. I t felt like I was home in NY and not in Minnesota, cost-wise that is. Service A+ Speed A Manager’s greeting A+ Décor/Ambience A Food B+ Cost B– I’d return, it’s a nice place. The menu seemed interesting too.

Found this to be a pretty good Irish pub. Atmosphere was traditional for a pub, it’s a large place and we went on a Wednesday night at dinner time & it was really busy. There were a few empty tables but not many. The place was really loud but you could talk w out shouting. I had the corned beef & cabbage which was really good. My coworker had fish & chips which he liked. They have a decent craft beer list and our server was very good even tho she was really busy. I’d go again when in the area.

My new favorite place. Great people. Awesome friggen food!!! Terrific Happy Hour! You MUST come here. Check in with Mitchell behind the bar! Great guy. The wild rice stuffed mushrooms are scrumptious, if I dare use that word, and the shroom pizza rocks!

This place is terrible. It’s like a kid got a lot of money and hired a bunch of jerks for staff. Stay away. Bartenders are amateurs.

Very friendly staff and great pub menu. Got to love a place that has Tempranillo as their house red wine. The Reuben rolls were delicious(corned beef and sauerkraut in a spring roll and then fried and served with 1000 island on the side). The bison Juicy Lucy was great too!

Great bartenders and atmosphere — not at all a typical suburban scene. Just go knowing this place does not support sports fans or women. Yes, I know it’s an Irish pub. With TVs everywhere. Seemingly a place that likes to attract a crowd to watch a big game — especially soccer! But ask them to turn on the volume for the quarter final of the Women’s World Cup when the USA is playing? No. Would they do it for a Twins game? Yes. If men were playing in a World Cup? Yes. But Heaven forbid diners should be upset by the noise of the most important international sports event of the year, with American Women representing their country. The disgraceful management offered to show it on the big screen instead, but failed to mention it hasn’t worked in months. Awful. This place needs to re-brand for what it is. A mediocre dining establishment in the suburbs. They are not interested in the sports crowd, and no respectable Irish pub would behave this way. #sexist #unAmerican #awful

Visited last week with coworkers. Service was friendly and prompt. Four of us agreed the food was to order and delicious. Patio seating is typical of the area. Interior is very attractive.

Upon arrival the hostess was very pleasant and our server who sat is as well. Both did and excellent job and were very charming. Server who waited on is was knowledgable of the drink menu, food menu and specials. She did an excellent job taking care of us both. The person from the back of the house who brought out meals Did not do a food raffle and knew what we had ordered The Food was hot and delicious. The fish taco’s were lightly seasoned and need a bit more pop with something hot. A few splashes of the sauce for the Reuben rolls was the right amount of seasoning along with some fresh black pepper. I would order these again as well as the Reuben rolls.

Came here for the night with my coworkers in town for a conference. Had the backroom reserved with catering for 30+people. The place was packed at 630pm when we arrived but they had a dedicated waitress that kept the drinks flowing. About 10min in we lost power to the place. Any food requiring electricity couldn’t be made. The food that was brought out was good but nothing to write home about. Looking forward to seeing this place in less stressful times. Best thing I had was the bread pudding. Get some.

When I was living close to the West End this place was my go to place for happy hour. The atmosphere is amazing because it was loud and fun. Inside is very nice and big. The staff is always nice. The food is great! I had fish and chips with curry sauce for the fries as a dipping sauce. The only thing I didn’t like is the parking lot downstairs because it is always packed. lol

Wasn’t crazy about the food. the fish and chips came out with the fries soggy and wet, the fish was crispy and dry… The spinach dip appetizer was pretty tasty. The assortment of Irish beers on tap was very good, and they have a good pour. I guess I’d come back for munchies and beers… not sure I’d rush back for a full meal though. It’s definitely NOT the feel of an Irish pub… more a business restaurant with some Irish décor.(that doesn’t make it bad, but it wasn’t what I expected)

I hate writing bad reviews but seriously? Other than having a prime location and being decorated really well this place has nothing to offer. I am so disappointed. I’ve been here 3 times the past month and each experience gets worse. First time I scheduled a dinner meeting for work with 8 people… No one cared for their food. I had gotten a Reuben being an Irish place and all but the sandwich itself left a lot to be desired. It was weak. I’ve had better from Arby’s. The waitress was also sort of awkward and didn’t seem to really want to be there. We had to flag her down several times for beverages that never came and water that was never brought. 2nd time, had brunch with my girlfriends. I had ordered a ham and cheese omelet. I got a veggie omelet which was fine, but not what I ordered. I waited for the waitress for 10 minutes to tell her and when she didn’t come, I just ate what was brought to me. This waitress… Also not great. The food… Meh. I would have maybe felt differently if I got what I ordered. 3rd time HH. I didn’t eat and had 1 drink. Service was super slow and it wasn’t that busy. I chose not to eat bc everytime I eat here the food is not great. Everything is soggy and the waitstaff leaves me wondering how long this place will stick around. Possibly the only upside and item deserving a star is their Bloody Mary. It is basically a meal and has a slider on top! Interesting but the rest of this place… Well let’s just say I will stick to a bloody and bolt. Coopers… Epic fail. Glad there’s other new and better options in the west end. Maybe this will entice a change., if not… Good luck staying open.

Such a nice surprise for a pub at lunch! I came by with my MSP coworkers last week for lunch and had a great experience. I had the chicken and hummus wrap and really enjoyed the sandwich. For dessert, I tried the mousse and loved it too… I think I could have licked the glass. Great atmosphere with nice architectural touches and friendly service too.
