I rarely write negative reviews but I really want to save people from the disappointment waiting at Toby Keith’s. Cobb salad– dressing not mixed well, avocado brown, otherwise ok; brisket was the worst, so dry and almost cold, beans dried out to a crisp on top, mashed potatoes may have been mixed with water instead of milk? — so plain; Caesar salad was good according to my daughter, burger not so good, bland and luke warm when served. Oh, and all out of tap beer(except two) at 8:30PM. They did discount our bill, but we still paid over $ 40 for basically a salad and a sprite. Two of us are leaving hungry.

The patio service was just terrible. The waitress was nice, but drinks came slow, empty glasses stayed on the table through the next round. Let me also say that they were under half their capacity. I would understand if they were slammed with people. I was hoping to drink some redneck beer to bring me back to my high school years and they didn’t have Busch Light. What kind of hick bar is this? Oh wait, it’s at the West End. Surrounded by high end boutiques. My bad. Maybe they should moved to Coon Rapids or MOA? That might be more there clientele.

Poorly managed and they could use a better food distributor. Our meals were average at best, and the waitstaff was inattentive. They spend a lot of time BSing in the back and not much time checking tables.

All I can give them points off for is the change to the menu. Maybe the stuff I wanted to eat is only at the Oklahoma City place, but I was hoping it would be here to. I had a craving for Smoked Prime Rib and Cowboy Caviar. No such luck, though I have to admit I did like the Rib Eye. Over all I must admit the quality of service trumped the disappointment in the menu. Service was excellent and spot on.

I’ve been to TK in Illinois, with so-so experiences, but came to the one in MN to see if it was different. I’m here at 5:30 on a Wednesday… they only had 4 draft beers! And the bartender tells me «we had a big weekend, and our alcohol order only went in yesterday» WHAT? You’re a BAR! Toby Keith’s BAR& Grill! How do you run out of 10 kinds of draft beer THREEDAYS ago, and not replenish? Just sad. I’m done.

Man I hate this place. Seriously, I really do not like anything about this bar. The food I had tonight was bad. I shouldn’t say bad, it was awful. Over smoked brisket fat nachos is what they should call it on the menu. I was also charged for eight extra beers on the tab. Eight! How do you mess it up that bad. Management refused to believe me when I brought it up so I ended up having to pay it. Unbelievable.

Disclaimer: This restaurant is not my type. I usually gravitate towards ethnic eateries or new-age restaurants with creative food. BUT it was my brother’s birthday and he chose for my family to eat here to celebrate, so I went. I wish I could give this place 2.5 stars, because it wasn’t anything special, but it wasn’t awful. It was exactly what I expected. The waitresses walk around in daisy dukes, and the menu is pretty cookie-cutter. It was weird, however, how the hostesses handled us when we walked in. They were having a conversation with each other that suggested they would have to kick us out at a certain time because they were expecting a lot of parties that night. They were holding the table arrangement sheet up in front of their faces, quizzically trying to figure out where to put us for like 3 minutes. Too long. It was a little uncomfortable and unprofessional. The food was fine – expected. My family started with the fried mac n’ cheese balls(Yummy! I actually finished the marinara sauce on its own.) and the sampler platter. The wings were dry, but everything else was pretty standard. I ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad(a signature item) which was very much as expected! I think I have had the same salad at like 4 other chain restaurants. My mom ordered the salad with the dressing(I asked for mine on the side) and she thought there was way too much dressing. All in all – can you guess? – expected! I wouldn’t go here again, but my brother liked it so I’m sure there’s a crowd that will be just happy with what they find here.

Most of the food is priced ok and is good but the salmon is a rip off($ 19 for barely 3 ounces and about 12 shoestring green beans). The pickle fries are good and drinks are average prices if not a bit on the high side.

Went here for the first time on a weekend only because my boyfriend is a fan of the place so I gave it a try. When we walked in to pay the cover the girl who put our wrist bands on was unsure of the band name when we asked her who was playing. She said the name of the band is on the flyers when you walk in. Seriously??? The drinks are outrageously expensive. Girls walk around there with their ass cheeks hanging out. The bands are pretty good and there is plenty of room to dance. I went on a Friday night. Wasn’t too packed I had previously gone here a few months back just to eat on the weekday. food is decent, can’t complain. Don’t think I’m going back. if I do my boyfriend is the one who will be dragging me there.

This restaurant is one of those kitschy chains that not only provides food but a store to buy overpriced memorabilia, similar to Bubba Gump or Rainforest Café. I have been to both of those places and even have menu items I adore but in general a chain restaurant is not my preference. I am giving this 3 stars because the food was good but it’s just not my style. I don’t think it provides anything I can’t get somewhere else and I don’t have much of a desire to come back. I like West End, I don’t come often but I think its cute and there is plenty of free parking. Toby Keith’s is also quite large, I haven’t been at night but I know many people who have and I believe it becomes a pretty good dance bar. They do charge cover but since we got there around 7:30 we didn’t have to pay, I think I saw a sign saying it was $ 5 when we were leaving. The menu had a lot of options and the food was good, the nachos are huge! The food pricing was also a pleasant surprise, this was the first time in a long time that we have had a dinner tab come to less than $ 40. That being said I think the drinks are a little high, I don’t have my itemized bill to confirm but I believe it was $ 5 – 6 for a short non-craft beer, not absurd but for being in the suburbs I expected something a little less. If you are looking for country music and typical american food this is probably the place for you. It’s very suburban but if that’s what you like you will probably be very happy.

This is not the place that I would choose to come to… yet I have been here at least 3 – 4 times. It’s rather shocking to me that I’m giving Toby Keith’s bar a 4/5, but let’s be honest here and evaluate. It’s in West End. This may be a pro or con to you. Lots of parking but none of it is particularly close. Gotta walk a bit. You’ll manage. It’s deceivingly huge. Big bar. Lots of seating. Good size stage/dance area. Have always been seated or served promptly. The food is surprisingly good. Pulled pork or Diablo are tasty. Beer in mason jars is always a good time, cliché or not. You’ll feel like a dirty old man looking at the hundred or so 17 year old girls working the place. Makes me glad I don’t have a daughter. Live music most(every?) night. Usually not obnoxious enough to still carry a conversation if you’re seated in the back. I mean, it’s country so it’s already obnoxious, but… I digress. Your night may vary. So yeah. If you find yourself either being dragged here against your will or are looking for a pop country bar that is huge with good food and fair prices, you’ll likely enjoy yourself either way. Yee haw.

About two times per year I try to give this place another shot. I feel like I try so hard to like TK’s but no matter when I go in there it’s the same old story… over priced drinks, awful service, bad music… REPEAT. Tonight I went in for dinner. After 20+ min without a server coming by I went to the bar for a drink, and waited another 10min. Finally I got my order in, took my $ 8.00 beers back to the table and waited another 20min for my food… only to find it sitting cold on the bar when I went to ask about it. Try Cooper or CRAVE… you’ll be a lot happier!

This place – so many loves and hates for one location. I hesitated to give it 3 stars solely based on the staff. The bouncers and the people out front are by far the crankiest, meanest and aggressive people I’ve encountered. They will kick you out on a moment’s notice pretty much for looking them in the eyes or giving them any sort of sass. The bartenders are also like to ignore you when they see patrons with cash-they will skip you. Now on to the good – love this place as a music venue. As a country music fan I love seeing up and coming acts and TK’s is one of my favorite places to do that. Tickets are moderately priced and they have had some awesome concerts in the past 2 – 3 years. I always come back for the shows but don’t think I would ever go on a night that I wasn’t seeing a concert.

My wife and I were in town to watch the Vikings and we stayed a few blocks from here. Nothing sounded too amazing about it, but we figured it was close and easy, plus we could watch some more football while we were there. If you’re a fan of Toby Keith, you would probably really like it. If you’re looking for just some decent food, then I give this place an «A-OK» rating. It was average food for a pretty good price. My wife ordered a margarita and said it was really good. The server was very friendly, too. Overall, it’s just your typical restaurant for burgers and other American style. Probably can’t go wrong there, but it’s nothing too great, either.

Like the song says — Beer in a Mason Jar. It’s LOUD. VERYLOUD. But good music and lots of beverages. Stay away from the Devil’s Cut with your beer. It is true fire water. The people are great and the people watching is first rate. It only gets better after the fire water — at least you don’t care after that. Maybe you are being watched. That is possible too. OMG. That is possible too.

I visited this place for a friend’s birthday and was really disappointed with my experience. It all really stems from the poor service. The waitresses were not attentive at all. We constantly had to ask them for refills on drinks, water, etc. When they finally got around to taking our food order(granted we had a large group) they skipped over me and then of course didn’t come back for like 10 minutes. Then their computers broke down so they couldn’t get the food orders back to the kitchen. The entire tables food came out except mine which I expected but I didn’t expect to have to wait 25 minutes for my burger to come out. When it did finally arrive my entire table was finished with their meal and my order was wrong. Luckily the manager was gracious and comped my meal. Then it came time to pay the bill and I have never had such a rude waitress refusing to split up a bill for a group of 6. I don’t think I’ll be back.
