A&A Fish

If you live great southern fried fish, this is the place for you to try. I had the fried catfish on one occasion and a shrimp burger the next time. I was well pleased on both visits. The owners are very friendly and funny. A nice place for take out.

Excellent place to grab a quick bite for lunch or dinner. Limited seating so go early if you’re seeking to eat in but very clean and polished restaurant. Had a fish dinner and had the opportunity to chat with the owner who has a heart of gold.

This place is fantastic. No frills, no muss, no fuss. When you have spent a long day in I-​95 traffic and you are waiting at a light on 610 and your mind wanders back to your childhood and the fish frys your friends and family used to do. At that moment, that is when you should head to A&A Fish. Each type of fish perfectly breaded. And each mouth watering bite makes you want to scramble for another. The catfish is beyond superb. The sides taste like they were scooped straight from your grandmother’s casserole dish. This place is worth every penny and my family will be returning on a regular basis.

Ate here for the first time this evening. I can see why they received the «#1 fried fish in Stafford» honors! We tried the whiting and tilapia dinners with fries, mixed greens (OMG), mac-​n-​cheese and coleslaw! It ALL was AMAZING! I even got to sample a new item the owner was trying out, crab and corn soup! it was fabulous! Will definitely eat here again and again!
Needless to say, I got hooked!

The Wow Wow shrimp was awesome. Very nice woman and a fantastic atmosphere. This will be my go to from now on for lunch!

This was an excellent find! I tried the catfish mac & cheese mixed greens and the green beans and was pleased with everything. Very fast and friendly service and such a great way to start my weekend. You can tell that they really care about their customers and owners are very talented cooks. I will definitely be back and I got a sampling of the wonderful filling for the lettuce wraps that will be coming on the menu soon and I can’t wait to try those!

On such a busy day, not feeling like cooking, I looked on Unilocal for a new take-​out place. Here I found a new neighbor in A & A Fish. Upon entering the very clean place, I couldn’t have found friendlier people anywhere! The service and atmosphere are enough to make me want this business to do well!
But on to the food… The huge portion of whiting was perfectly done and lightly coated, making the fried fish lighter than one might expect. The catfish was moist and very well seasoned with a wonderful crunch on the outside. I’ve never had cole slaw with kidney beans before, but the few beans in this slaw added a uniqueness that I appreciate. The string beans with potatoes were also excellent.
The prices here are quite acceptable for the portion size. I’m looking forward to my next take-​out already and hope this new business is here for the long term!

Great fish fry topped off with homemade mac and cheese and coleslaw! Will be back again to try more. Extremely friendly staff to top it all off!

Great food. My go to for a fish dinner. All home made and made to order. Owners are wonderful to talk to as well. Just love this place.

Wow, very good. If you like fresh, fried fish, this is the place. Tried the whiting, tilapia, and catfish, all good (catfish was the best). The wings were also good. The mac and cheese is awesome and ALMOST as good as my grandma’s secret recipe. The one bad thing was the fries… soggy and undercooked… maybe pass on those til they get them figured out.
The owners were there, and they were simply some of the friendliest people I’ve met.
Be prepared to wait, as everything is cooked fresh (although the owner said you can call ahead with your order).
There are about 10 bar-​style seats, 5 on each side, shoulder-​to-​shoulder, so not a good location for a sit-​down meal with more than 1 other person.
Overall, a great experience, and a must try for fried-​fish lovers!

Great food. Made to order from scratch! Enjoyed a tasty, blackened tilapia sandwich perfectly cooked per personal preference — flaky, moist and fishy.
Newly remodeled, clean and well appointed restrooms are always a welcomed experience.
Proprietor ensures orders are quickly processed and to customers expectation.
