Zibibbo 73 Trattoria

Went to this restaurant a couple of years ago. so this is a long time coming. I loved this place. the bar was great, the drinks were great. The food was awesome, the organ player was perfect… Great place!

Finally got to eat at this place went with a couple of friends, the waitress was very nice, with an great personality, the lobster dip is far the best love it, but could use some lights so dark and very quite, but I would say it’s a great place to do date night, just not the place for a couple of friends .!

Went here for lunch with the husband. I got an eggplant roll with pasta and he got the lasagna. Mine was too sweet for my liking. His lasagna was terrible. The edges tasted old and didn’t have much sauce. only the the verrrry center was okay. The portion was huge but not edible. Minestrone soup lacked flavor and the noodles and beans seemed undercooked. Waitress was inattentive, not once asked how our food was.
A separate gentleman that brought us our appetizers asked if we’d like bread which we accepted.
The presentation of all the food was very nice but we decided we will not be returning here.

Great place. If you’re looking for a high end feel without making the trip to DC, this is the place. It took me awhile to find it, but I’m so glad I did. The food is great. And it’s the only brunch place I could find in the Stafford area. Highly recommended. Next time I’ll take pictures of the food. So delicious.

Went here on a date. First time to try this resturant for the both of us. Quick seating. Nice atmosphere, Waitress attentive, prices reasonable. And food presentation was nice also. Would eat here again.

Deffinately worth a try. Good food. Prices were ok. Great staff. Deco a bit outdated. Clean.

Great authentic Italian in Stafford! I called in a small order and waited just a few minutes for it at the bar.
It was early so not busy yet for the dinner rush. I was surprised how nice the inside of the restaurant was. The bar is pretty big and I was looking over the drink specials which sounded great as well. The staff was all very friendly and helpful.
I ordered a side house salad — the house dressing is very good. The lobster and crawfish dip which was FULL of seafood and served with crispy bread for dipping, was really good. My favorite was the crème brûlée. This is my all time favorite dessert and was done perfectly. The serving was big (which I had no problem with) and could easily be shared.
I can’t wait to go back and try some pasta!

Complete disappointment. New management and different menu. The changes they have made are definitely not for the better. The waiter didn’t know the menu or items from the older menu. He tried to describe items on the menu and had absolutely know idea what he was talking about. The food was meh, I went with the lasagna because all my old favorites were gone such as the Garganelli and Cavatelli dishes. When these items were removed previously we always asked the waiter to ask the chef if they could still prepare them and they usually obliged us. In this particular case the waiter simply said «no» without even asking the chef.
It’s a shame, the place used to be amazing and a rare find for the Stafford area. If you have never been before then it might not seem so bad as your expectations will be different. However, after seeing what it once was we have no plans on going back.

I have driven by this place almost a year and a half and then decided one evening just to try this out with the wife. What a surprise, incredible wine selection and incredible food selection and what we ordered was amazing, I got the mussels, she got the leg of lamb I give this place 5 stars. Quality of our maitre d, quality of the environment, this is a place you will have a beautiful lunch or dinner with anyone and also an incredible singer the night we were there. The bottom line, something I did not expect in Stafford, let’s face it I dont do chain restaurants, usually we have to go to DC for this kind of quality and service… we wil go back again and again… and 10 minutes from our home!!!

I give this 2 stars because we loved our waiter. He was funny and made us laugh the entire evening. As for everything else…
We got here on a Saturday night with no reservation. It was very busy we were told there was a 30 minute wait. No problem. We went to the bar. An hour later we were still at the bar.
We went to the hostess stand and were told we were next. We waited about another 20 minutes before finally being seated.
There seemed to be a lot of confusion with staff. When we walked in we got the hostess which 20 minutes later was our bartender. They seemed to walk around aimlessly not knowing which food went to what table.
As for the food, everything tasted the same, like salt! Way too salty. This restaurant advertises homemade pasta. The pasta was not homemade.
I feel that they try to be fancy but the food is overpriced and not good at all. The bar is nice to sit and have an over priced cocktail. As far as the food, I wouldn’t return. I had a headache for the remainder of the evening from the salt intake!

I have been to Zibibbo 73 a couple times with my friend who introduced me. She recently moved to the area and when I go to visit, this is the place we go. The restaurant is beautiful and classy. The food is delicious! Especially the lobster and crawfish dip. Seriously, I didn’t think I’d like anything with crawfish, but this was delicious. The staff is fantastic! We have been there with our young children for dinner and out for drinks for a birthday, everytime we get great service. I love having a place where you always feel welcome.

Well I had the special «stuffed pork chop». It felt overdone you know when a meal is overly sauced and you can tell from eating it that it sort of pre done to save time that what it tastes like. I did not like the pork chop. I had a glass of moscato that was good. The bread was hard and not warm. Who knows if it was supposed to be. I will say that the ambience was extremely suitable if you wanted to perhaps hang out and have a few drinks. It was very red and plush and screams «look at me I’m on a date!» Perhaps the pasta would have been the safer bet but I don’t like veal and that seemed to be mixed I with everything. I give it two stars for ambience and my sweet waitress — customer service excellent btw food not so much. Recommend you give it a shot since I seem to be the only Debbie downer on this joint. Since I posted my first review when they opened in 2012 I have been coming regularly. The staff and food are excellent and they recently began improving the look and feel of the restaurant. All the columns on the bar have been removed which makes it really look open and inviting. They also just installed a new rock wall that brightens and enhances the atmosphere. If you are looking for a place in Stafford to take your significant other, family, friends or business partners, this is it.

Outstanding food, dead cold atmosphere. The staff is very polite, but something about this place leaves me feeling cold and serious.
Jefferson Bourbon Stout on tap is pretty good. I recommend the the Tortellini di Parma.

Every plate was exceptional. The staff was friendly, the service was great. Every dish was packed with flavor and dishes were beautifully presented. Many compliments to the chef! I had a hard time ordering so we brought the family and ordered it all. The special Goat cheese, fig, and prosciutto salad was an instant favorite. The tiramisu melted in our mouths. Go hungry! Fill up and indulge in exquisite Italian fashion.

Good food and atmosphere. Octopus appetizer ! I dare you to order it. If u like calamari then this is for you!

I’m so glad my husband found this place! Top notch!
We had lunch today and there were maybe 2 other tables. We were very casually dressed and the party ahead of us we in their Sunday’s best if you did a comparison. I was a little worried they may judge us for our lack of attire, but the staff was very friendly and attentive.
I was very surprised at the prices. It was very reasonable. We started with fried calamari. It was perfect. So tender. And the tomato sauce was tasty. I would have preferred it a little spicier, but I love everything spicy. Next we each had a salad. Large portion and very fresh. I ordered the eggplant sandwich with fries and my husband had the salmon panini with fries. The eggplant sandwich was amazing! I’ve never had those combinations in a sandwich before and I was so surprised. I would have preferred it on a softer bread, but my husband told me that focaccia is supposed to be firm. My husband said his sandwich was perfect. Oh and the fries were great as well. We only spent about $ 33 on lunch before the tip. What a deal!
I can’t wait to try dinner and brunch!

One of the best Sicilian Italian restaurants I’ve been to outside Sicily. Nino is an awesome host. Food is incredible and wine list is solid.

Game over, Nino’s gone and the place will never be the same. Food quality and personal touch left when Nino did. Now what was a great restaurant will become a happy hour bar.

My now WIFE (yeah…i finally swindled her into it!!) and I have been back to Zibibbo a couple of times and I have to say — they EARNED this update.
Their problems behind the bar have been fixed. We have yet to experience a wait over five minutes to be seated and have received our drinks and meals in reasonable wait times. Nino seems to have been quite attentive to customer reviews and has improved on every shortcoming that we noted previously. Food quality is consistently amazing. If you’re looking for a recommendation, try out their scallops… holy jesus they are incredible. I want to say the dessert I get is called ‘tartufo’…don’t quote me… it’s a chocolate-​hazelnut tart-​like dessert that tastes like Nutella, ice cream, cheesecake, and happiness made a baby in your mouth. It’s beyond awesome. I am praying that the DC folk never catch wind of this jewel in Stafford… I don’t like crowds.
Great job, Zibibbo. Looking forward to dining with you all again.
