Awesome food! I’ve tried the pancit, eggrolls, and empanadas and they were all so good! My favorite thing would definitely have to be the fried empanadas, you have to order them by the dozen but they are worth it and will run out fast! I recommended this place to a friend who ordered a tray of eggrolls for a party and everyone there loved them! It’s owned and ran by a family. They’re so friendly and remember all their regulars. This place is definitely worth the visit!

I’m not a big fan of the chicken empanadas though. I tried it two times, and I find the chicken dry both times and had no flavors. I had also tried the veggie rolls(fried) and it was big in size and seems fresh, but it’s not something I really like. I wouldn’t order it again. What I did enjoy were the silvanas(which are kind of like macaroons but soft and more creamy). At almost $ 2 bucks for one, it’s a little pricey but it’s tasty to have once in a while. They have different flavors, but I’ve only tried the buttercream one, and I quite like it.

This is a small restaurant that is big on friendly service and tasty Filipino foods. You can get anything from noodles dishes, lumpia, empañadas that have a lovely Filipino fusion, breads, drinks and desserts. For us, the lumpia Shanghai was a definite favorite. The little but very filling eggrolls(25 per order) were perfectly crisp and full of savory goodness. The in-house made dipping sauce was a perfect complement with its balance of sweet and spicy. A vegetarian option of lumpia is available which is also very good and a choice worth getting. The empañadas were a so close second if not a tie. The pastry was fried as to be soft yet have a firm texture. The filling, available in chicken or beef, had a nice fusion of flavors. These are sold by half dozen or by special order dozen. A nice variety of noodle dishes are available and will be a try on return visits. As a lover of sweets, I could not resist trying some of the desserts on my visits. At first taste, I was impressed with the silvanas. Very similar to a macaron, yet bigger and with a different texture(a softer bite and more airy), all flavors were excellent. The Mamon petal cake was so soft, light, moist and delicately sweet. I tried the original flavor but the other flavors are for certain on my must try list. The Leche flan was rich without being overpoweringly so and had that creamy firm custard flavor and texture and the sweetness of caramel. For drinks I recommend the mango or the daladan juices, which I think go well with the foods. I also recommend the guyabano or soursop as something different to try. The employees told me it’s an acquired taste but I found it to be much like many fruits combined with a sweet citrus and a tart citrus mix and a hint of coconut. I don’t know how it will taste to others since all have such widely different taste buds but I enjoy it very much. The restaurant itself is small but clean and the employees are very friendly and helpful. The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes and items are available to go or dine in. I recommend Jambeto’s as a place to try, especially for some empañadas, lumpia and silvana.

Tucked away across from Dulles High School — fast, cheap, Phillipino takeaway but could eat in — free WiFi. Had the chicken empanadas(6) and pancit — very filling for 2 for dinner. Needed a bit more veggies to make it a more well rounded meal but for around $ 15 very tasty and satisfying. Empanadas unlike Hispanic ones — very soft, chewy a bit sweet but stuffed with spicy chicken goodness. Pancit is dry, spicy glass noodles with a few green beans etc. If to go, remember to ask for fork and get napkins.

I tried both the chicken and beef empanadas. They were both good, but I prefer the beef. They’re not spicy, just flavorful. I definitely will be back to buy more and try other selections. They also had a good selection of sweets.

Ran in and ran back out. The treats are fabulous! Light and creamy. Philippine food. The man behind the counter was very informative. I don’t know much about that culture but he was super nice. Gotta try the empanadas next time.

This place was great! I went in to buy the empanadas, both the chicken and beef flavour, and I absolutely loved it! The bread was about the right consistency of a regular empanada, and both the chicken and beef had a nice amount of flavour that didn’t overpower the taste of the bread. Not only was the flavour just right, but I also appreciate how the filling had a Filipino twist to it. I also went in to buy the macaroon-like-silvana, and it was simply wonderful. I’ve tried macaroons that were so sweet that you could hardly taste the flavour. So going into the Filipino silvana was a good change of taste buds for me after eating my empanadas I didn’t stay for too long to try their larger meals, but from what I encountered: the staff members were friendly, the prices on the menu are fairly priced, and the environment is very nice!

The chicken empanadas were delicious! They were so good I went back into the store and got another one. My son got several macaroons, Lemon, butter cream, and coconut. They were very good sized and came individually wrapped. I can’t decide if the lemon or coconut was my favorite. Yummy! Friendly staff! I will definitely return the next time I’m in Houston

I haven’t tried much of the food or drinks here, but the staff are all really nice! They have lots of Filipino items on the menu I have yet to try, but one day I will!

Very sweet lady helped me choose out what to try.(The place smelled like a nail salon today for some reason). The chicken shrimp pancit was pretty good, glass noodles lemon flavored. Beef empanada didn’t have much flavor. Mocha flan didn’t taste like mocha nor flan and was a little dry for flan. I’d go back and try other things!

There aren’t many Filipino restaurants or cafes in Houston, so I was glad to see this place pop up right next to Don Café, with which my brother and I have an unhealthy obsession for their banh mi. My only regret about this place is that I didn’t pop into this place sooner. I’ve gotten the pandesal and ensaymadas from there and I love them. My brother inhaled three ensaymadas in one evening, no lie. I gave some pandesal to my best friend, a proud Filipina, and she gave her stamp of approval. I particularly like the ensaymadas because I haven’t had anything like them, despite being oversaturated with all sorts of funky Chinese pastry concoctions in my life. They’re sweet dessert breads with a filling(the ube one is great) then topped with cheese. The place itself is small so I wouldn’t bring a large group for a sit-down meal, but it is clean and adorable. Service is an A+; JV is a super friendly guy and is happy to explain to you what the Filipino goodies are despite you butchering the pronunciations(sorry, I’m sure I did).

Kinda out of the way if you’re seeking Filipino food, but well worth the trek to Stafford. The pancit, Filipino vermicelli and vegetables, is out of this world. The rice noodles are tender and slippery while the carrots, celery, cabbage offer some crunch. No one flavor dominates. It may be a tad bit Americanized, but overall, it is delicious. I recommended the dish to a Filipino coworker and she told me her children loved the noodles. The baked goods offerings are more extensive and have a more home made flavor compared to the very commercial, and mass produced, Red Ribbon.

The place is clean. Music is nice. Service is friendly. Food and baked goods taste delicious. This was my first time at the place and I got halo halo, pan de sal, palabok, ube ensaymada. The place costs a little more than other Filipino places but the food is worth it. I normally do not like halo halo, but theirs was good but a little pricey. Palabok was delicious and they gave big shrimps. ube ensaymada is a must!

The bakery is delicious and everything is fresh and handmade! The pastries are flaky and have an amazing crunch. You should get the following items: 1) cinnamon bundt cake. Microwave it for 10 seconds and it’s amazing. 2) pancit. It’s yummy stir fried noodles with a nice kick to it. 3) egg rolls. They’re homemade and bite sized. Perfect to bring for potluck dinners. 4) silvanas. They’re like macarons but better. It’s like a mix of a macaron, whoopie pie, and ice cream sandwich. I’m definitely coming back. It’s the best Filipino food I’ve ever had.

I was slightly confused(no, VERY confused) upon coming to Unilocal and seeing this place only had a crappy 2.5 stars rating so let my preface this 5 star review with the fact that I am only commenting on the cinnamon bundt cake. As I sit here writing this review, I feel torn between two emotions. My taste buds are literally screaming with satisfied joy from the scrumptious dessert I just consumed yet they are also bawling with sadness that I had voraciously devoured it. The bundt cake was PERFECTLY baked, and I mean perfect. My family had purchased it the day before and you’d think like most store bought bundt cakes, it’d be hard and dry from sitting out but OMGEEZNESS. It was sooo moist and literally melts in your mouth. The thing that makes it unique is the crispy(yet not overpowering) layer of sugar on the top. The moist and crispy combination makes it the BEST bundt cake I’ve ever had. Jambeto, you better watch out. I literally might eat out all the bundt cakes in your store.
