Murphy’s Deli

Ordered the falafel sandwich and it was pretty solid. I also ordered a fruit salad and the fruit was fresh. Service is good as well. It’s Murphys so… nothing super exciting, but regular lunchy food.

I just thought this was an average deli with average tasting food. It had been nearly 10 years since I had last visited a Murphy’s Deli before today and now I guess I know why. They have sandwiches, salads, burritos, paninis and soups. I didn’t think their sandwich selection was very large though.
The chicken on my chicken pesto panini was pretty bland and tasted like they had just took it out of the boiling water and cut it in half, then halfed it again horizontally to make the meat flat on the bread. Just left a boiled chicken taste in my mouth after each bite.
They offer cookies, brownies and coconut bars at the register to tempt you before you leave.
My colleagues seemed to enjoy their half muffalata and club sandwiches at least.

Always a fresh and well packed lunch. This is my first time trying Murphy’s Deli, and I just adore it so much.

I used to love Murphy’s, I really did — even to the point of dining there once a week. However, I took a hiatus from eating there before trying it recently. The quality seemed to have gone down. Sandwiches that were once spilling over with yummies now seemed lacking and bland. Also the service was very mediocre — the man in front of me getting 5 star service and me barely getting 2 star service. Maybe it was an off-​day. I’ll try them again. Hopefully they didn’t go down hill because they were once so delicious.

This is the real deal. The original Murphy’s Deli. I am blessed to have this across my work. The owner is a champ, really takes care of his customers. The employees are very helpful — and great cheap food!

Great place in the heart of stafford! Fresh fast and clean!!! THE MUFFELATTA WAS INSANE GOOD!!!

This is the original Murphy’s Deli of Stafford, TX. When I lived in the area, it was a lunch time spot since it is near HCCS and very close to the business parks. The décor is different from the other places, less refined, but the food is good. I usually get the gyro and chips for under $ 6 dollars.
