Sandwiches are good, reasonably priced. They keep everything clean. Great for a quick lunch when I don’t have time to leave the building.

I don’t expect top notch food here because I realize it’s a small operation. I do however, expect to be treated fairly and respectfully. I never get that here. They always seem exhausted and frustrated especially during morning rush or lunch rush. They don’t have the time to greet you or even acknowledge you are standing there waiting. Today someone(a «regular») shouted out her sandwich order before I could even get the man behind the counter’s attention, though I was in line in front of her. The man made her order before mine and totally just slighted me. I was not surprised because they are always tacky when it comes to service. They also never give you an itemized receipt. I guess it’s because most people use their company cards and they also charge you $ 1.50 for an orange!

This place is good and the tenants of Granite Properties can vouch for it. Sure, it’s not fancy like Panera Bread or efficient like Brown Bag Deli, but it’s really a mom-and-pop run breakfast/lunch spot that you can depend on when you don’t feel like driving out for lunch. They offer a wide range of sandwiches, wraps, salad, and breakfast food. The deli also have a good selections of chips, drinks, and even desserts. I personally never tried their desserts so I can’t comment on the quality. Please note that this is a 3 people operation deli shop as the man(Mr. Patel) will be the«chef in the kitchen» and they have a lady who does the wrapping and delivery to your table if you’re eating in, and Ms. Patel will take care of your money. So sometimes you may have to wait a good 10 to 15 minutes just for your food to be ready and I do not mind the wait because I know the quality of the food meets the expectation of the price, and I know the money is going to their pocket as I support local businesses. Some of my favorites are The Kicker Club(because it has bacon), Texas Tuna(tuna sandwich that’s made really quick), and Greek Salad. I have tried the other stuff like the wrap, gyro, and muffalata but I feel like the quality wasn’t good enough for the price. Don’t be surprised that in order to warm up your sliced deli meat with melty cheese on it, he will put it in the microwave to nuke it warm. Nor when you order grilled chicken salad that he will take out an already grilled mark chicken breast, nuke it in the microwave, and then slice it up for your salad. They do take credit card but I tend to pay them in cash. Again, don’t expect top notch quality lunch food here because some of the things you see may turn off foodies of Sugar Land, but if you’re a hungry 9 to 5 person and want to save gas money, this is it here, folks.

My bill was $ 9.56 for two breakfast tacos that aren’t really tacos(have to use pita bread instead of tortillas). I called at 9:02AM and was told the tacos would be ready in 10 minutes. I arrived at 9:12am and had to wait another 5 minutes while the man chit chatted. This idea of chit-chatting while customers are waiting irks me beyond words. Had I not already called in the order(that I thought was already done), I would’ve left. After this experience, I definitely will avoid returning at all costs.
